AAA Roadside Service contracted this company to tow my car from my driveway to the tire shop. The tow truck arrived really fast. Driver was professional and helpful. My car was safely delivered to the tire shop on the tow bed (as it should be). All of this happened in less than a hour. A clear sign of professionalism and experience. Fiver for an easy peasy situation during a stressful morning. *COVID SAFETY: AAA asks members to get a ride instead of sitting in the tow truck with the driver. I needed to have my car towed from Richmond to San Rafael and when I called the gentleman answered the phone on the first ring and said yes he was absolutely available even though this was on the Monday of the Thanksgiving holiday. He was quick and efficient and he delivered my car to my driveway exactly as specified in a timely manner. I do highly recommend professional towing especially for his customer service. What an ironic name. CHP sent them to me because of two flat tires. Driver arrived and assessed the situation. I told him what I needed and where I needed to get to. He said, "Okay, let me first change that other car's flat tire and then I'll come back and get you squared away." He spent 30 minutes with the other car (though I was first). Then he said he can't take me 13 miles to Sonoma. He refused to tow me because I wanted to get to Sonoma instead of back to their shop and then told AAA that I yelled at him and that I said "you'll do what I tell you to do." BOLD FACED LIE. He simply drove away when he was supposed to be making other arrangements. I'm now with my 8yo daughter on the side of the road waiting for another towing company. Do not use. Not Safe. Not honest Not professional. I'm case you're tempting to think I'm a HOT HEAD, check out all of my other reviews. Their overall rating doesn't t surprise me. Looking at all of their reviews it seems as though one or two drivers may have a temper problem, a patience problem or possibly the owner of the business has just created a culture that isn't customer focused. One of the scariest sounds when you're driving on the freeway is a loud "bang" and then your car starts swerving and your dashboard communicator says "0" pressure. Most of us have AAA and they are so wonderful. Today they contacted Professional Towing to come help me - out in a narrow little piece of pavement off the freeway. Jackie was my lifeline and she and her partner Tim were at my side in minutes. Jackie contacted a local tire shop so I would have someone to help me there when we landed. My car broke down on Hwy 101 and we pulled off at the DeLong Ave off ramp in Novato, on Sunday, 4/3. Triple AAA sent a tow truck from Professional Towing. The tow truck operator, Beto, was amazing!!! He was professional, quick to get the car on the tow truck and secured, and was so polite and kind! I highly recommend this towing company and Beto!! read more

My Ford pickup truck broke down in the middle of the lane on Redwood Avenue, Novato and needed a tow. I called AAA with whom I have a roadside assistance policy and they told me a tow truck was on its way. Next i got a call from Jackie (the Professional Towing dispatcher) . She suspiciously queried me as to whether my truck was currently insured and registered, to which i responded by reading future expiration dates from docs in the truck.Then the interogation continued regarding the physical characteristics of the truck and i gave an accurate description. Suddenly she exclaimed (verbatim)....... " Listen, i already know what an extended cab is, and since you are being such an a--hole about this, I'm cancelling your tow, and now you can sit in the road for another hour until AAA gets you another tow truck!". Then she hung up. I was dumbfounded. I then of course had to call back AAA, and requested Nave Tow of Novato. They showed up promptly and the driver Tom was super friendly and fast. Enough said!! I called AAA in order to request a tow from Novato to South San Francisco. The tow truck driver arrived at the time expected and upon arrival took my AAA card and DL. He followed by requesting the registration for the vehicle being towed, I provided that to the driver. After he reviewed the documents he had a conversation with his dispatch and proceeded to ask for the registered owner present. I told the driver the registered owner, which is a friend of mine, is unable to be on the scene and offered a picture of his DL, phone number and anything else he would need to tow it. He still refused, said he couldn't wait and advised me to call after the owner is present. After the owner had to leave work to deal with this, the tow company told AAA there was an altercation/confrontation that occurred and they would be unable to provide service because that is the only company they are partnered with in the area. After speaking with the tow company and AAA they are still not going to provide service for unknown reasons, possibily they do not want to tow a vehicle over the golden gate bridge. I have never had this much of a waste of time and bad experience with any tow company through AAA. If they didn't lie to AAA about a confrontation it would of been 3 stars but I give 0 stars for their integrity. read more

Our motor home had a completely dead battery and would not start. Called AAA to replace the battery but their corporate policy does not allow service trucks to enter storage yards. They did, however, recommend Professional Towing in Novato. This company is great! The driver Jacob was there in less than a hour with a new battery. Jacob was knowledgeable, polite, and professional. I have lived in Novato for a long time and was not aware of Professional Towing but will now tell friends and family that this is definitely the company to use! read more

I had occasion to use this tow company the other night when I locked my keys in the car and yes I am blonde . My husband was in hospital this past Friday (so happy to say he is doing better now) and moved to a Rehab facility on Tuesday evening. So I have been a little frazzled. The other evening I was very happy he was doing better but a bit tired myself. I just wanted to stop at the market and then go home. Unfortunately I locked my keys in the car right on the front seat. I didn't notice until I was leaving the store when I checked my pocket. I phoned AAA and they set up the tow truck to unlock my car. I was so happy when Jose showed up,opened the car,got my keys and started the car up as he noticed that I had left a light on! I'm sure I babbled by then but he was not at all judgemental. In fact he was very kind, calming and caring. Oh yeah, he had the keys out in a flash and made sure my car was running before saying goodbye. read more

Joe just showed up to change our tire though AAA while we were out to dinner. He was friendly and polite, and even offered to send me back inside to finish dinner while he changed the tire and put everything back in the car. I felt comfortable enough doing that, and he texted us a report when he was finished. What a rockstar! Best experience using AAA. The communication from Professional Towing was absolutely immaculate. Had a tow for 35 miles. The story: My partner and I bought a new SUV out of state (GREAT DEAL) and needed to pick up my car from the airport. The new SUV was misfiring and not safe to drive another 70+ miles. We might have pushed it if we didn't have our pups. Called AAA for a "long distance tow" while I ordered an Uber to the airport. I spoke with the Rep/Driver from Professional Towing and let him know the situation and that I had to go retrieve one of our other vehicles so we can load up the pups and ourselves. With COVID you are not allowed to drive with the tow driver.***** He asked that I call 15 minutes before arriving to our parked spot. It took much longer as my Uber drivers were canceled and let him know it would be later. He was very understanding and extremely professional. We got our tow even closer to our townhome than I thought we would (some complexes have strict rules for tow trucks) and only lost an hour of time. I was able to get my car from the airport and the SUV back home right in time for the crock pot to go off! What a stressful situation should have been was made a smooth transition. These guys were great. I locked my keys in the car in my purse and thankfully left my phone in my pocket. I was stuck with two small kids and no wallet! So I called and the gal who answered was super nice, said it would be about 30 min. The guy came in 15, his name was Harrison. He was so friendly and kind and got my car unlocked in about 1 minute. Tonight, I arranged to have my truck towed to a local car repair shop immediately when the driver, Jose arrived he seemed inexperienced and afraid to tow my vehicle presenting several excuses and the last being show current registration of my vehicle, all the while him stating it's his ass if my car is not registered and that the rules have changed. While on the phone with AAA before they arrived I was very clear to ask what the driver would need from me so that I could prepare and waiting for him to show up... My ID and membership card was all stated I would need to show. I also explained that my insurance would not be provided if my vehicle was not registered and he proceeded to say that is not true because he has a car that had been insured without registration and many other excuses as I gathered my registration paperwork. Upon showing him my registration showing the car is registered until 10/31 2020 and currently insured he still refused to tow my vehicle stating that he could lose his job as he could not tell if my car was registered or not... 'that his ass was on the line'. Yes exact language. This company needs to do better especially through AAA service if rules and regulations have changed they need to be very explicit and transparent and the drivers need to know how to understand and read paperwork to know when a vehicle is registered. I do not like wasting my time and having my time wasted when I am generally prepared in advance. I hope I never need to use their services again and that they are clear in communication about what information is needed when the driver arrives train your drivers, if they are afraid to be out at night or two tow cars at least have other drivers available as he stated he is the only driver available tonight and that I should call someone else to tow it in the morning. This is a huge inconvenience to a customer in the middle of the night when services are stated to be 24 hours a day. Please do better! This is unacceptable! And I hope others read this and not think twice about using your service unless I absolutely have to. read more
