Ford dealer would only quote to replace, not repair, and they wanted $725 for just the one front wheel. This guy is an artist!

Gerber tire was extremely honest with me. I have a small car and had gone to the dealership to find out if my tires were still OK having moved to this area I have to be very careful and take care of my tires because there's a lot of driving and difficult weather conditions. At the dealership they told me immediately I needed to change my tires and this was back in March. I was never really sure whether I should change my tires or not so I kind of asked around different guys in the neighborhood and people I knew what they thought everyone said the tires seem to be OK. When I recently got back from a trip just three weeks ago I thought it might be a really good idea to bring my car in and check my tires again because I had another long trip to make in my car. I spoke with Tirgut Who I think runs the place? He is a very honest man and he said to me don't worry about it we do not need to change your tires they look good but we will rotate them and that will help you by putting the more used tires in the front in the into the back. Sounds good to me and then I asked how much that cost and he said nothing I will just do that don't worry. My experience obviously has been a very honest and helpful experience. I feel that the way they look at things there is they look long-term they want to build business with you so why sell you something you don't need or charge you something for something that can be done very quickly and simply. I have a lot of respect for this business and I've decided to come back here for a lot of my car repairs not just tires because they do other stuff as well. I let him know that I might be getting a new car in November because it was time to get a bigger car for where I live, it would help me get around safely. I will definitely come back here more and I will stay away from the dealership as I feel that the dealerships around here at least in my experience have been been quite mercenary and I really appreciate the honesty and integrity of this particular business. After I took my vehicle in last Monday for them to swap tires and rims and wire the rear view camera (that is already installed) to my video on the dash , they still haven't completed the work. When I got home I noticed that my key fob was broken, the straps on my driver side seat cover were broken and the console area that attached to the dash was partially installed. I have been to their shop four times and the owner gives me the same excuse about waiting for a resistor. I asked for my refund for that work and they gave refused to return my money. After questioning the owner about the key fob, he admitted that he accidentally sat on it. Don't waste your time with these guys. I am filing a complaint with the BBC to boot.

That went pretty well and they turned out good, but the paint started coming off in a few weeks. I sent him some pics and he said he would fix them. Then I tried to get him to follow through. After setting times to drop them off multiple times and having him cancel, he then told me he had never had a problem like that and wouldn't fix them. What a disappointment James turned out to be. Totally wouldn't stand behind his work. Now I have to find someone else. I should post a zero review, but I can't figure out how to do that. What a waste of time and money. Also note that his shop is way up in the hills out of Gaston, so quite a drive when I first picked them up.

It' s Oregon, so no sales tax! I made an appointment online to have the tires changed here. I come in at my appointment time, and I am met by Will. Very friendly, very personable, very thorough, the same great service that I love getting from America's / discount tire. Will checks my ID, goes out to get the information that he needs from my car, and comes back. He tells me that my car will be ready in 45 minutes to an hour. Guess what? Only a little more than a half hour later, my car is sitting at the front door, ready to go. Will and I finalize all the paperwork, and my road trip continues. He said that's unsafe and could also affect my gas mileage etc. At the time I had called in I was pretty focused JUST on getting the tires and driving to California. But after a month my gas mileage is SO much better. Which means I'm saving at the pump. The ride is SO quiet. So good. I didn't expect this huge expense, but I don't go cheap on tires and I always research on Tire Rack first but MAN I was impressed by the service and knowledge at Discount Tire at this location.
