He fixed the leak, adjusted my shower knob and kitchen sink faucet which were very loose. I asked him about my poor water flow and he checked those out and made more adjustments. It was great that he gave me some tips to help minimize my need for a plumber in the future. When a business does that, I really can't ask for more. I am a bit of a handyman myself and it seemed like he really knew what he was doing the whole time. I also liked that he was the guy who took my call and also came to do all the work. That is priceless in this day and age. Very pleased overall.

Highly recommend Javier from R&R!…read more Our bathroom had 2 issues. The shower had 2 points of discharge and water came out from both ends when we turn on the water. The control switch was not working properly and it appears to have something broken inside the switch. The second was the bathtub was dripping for months. Our property manager gave us some recommendation on handyman, and we reached out to a few others. Everyone of the handyman looked at the issues and said they couldn't do it. Javier from R&R was professional and friendly. He came, looked at the problems and gave us multiple options. We were told that our bathroom fixtures were on the older end, and replacement parts would be pretty slim. Javier said he would try his best to find ways to fix our problems, and if it can't be fix, then he would have to go with the full remove and replace option. Needless to say, the cheaper option would be less than half the price of the worst case scenario. We were presented with the cheaper options to be less than $1000, while the worst case scenario would be in the mid $2000 with our drywall cut open in order to do the fixture replacement. We would also had to then deal with redoing the drywall since that is not part of the company's scope of work. Javier came back after we accepted the estimate and was able to fix everything faster than I thought. To my surprised, he was able to find the replacement parts and fix everything. My experience with Javier and R&R has been exceptional. I highly recommend R&R to anyone with plumbing issue like i had.

Rather than leaving me to figure it out on my own, he walked me through all of his troubleshooting step by step so I could relay it to the technician when getting retested. He followed up consistently throughout the whole ordeal and genuinely expressed concern that I was without gas. I passed the retest, and I truly believe his guidance played a big part in that. When I questioned this, he said: "I'm not rejecting you. Anyone who insults me with dishonesty doesn't deserve my services. I pride myself on honesty and transparency. I treat all my customers with respect and kindness. I am one of the kindest contractors you will come across. But for you to question my honesty is an insult." Transparency and clear communication are essential in good business practice. Any professional contractor should state upfront: "$2,100 cash, +4% if paying by card." Because the full picture wasn't communicated when it mattered, it's understandable that I felt the situation was not handled honestly.

The 5th was Sunday so I did what I could, Home Depot style, and had no success. Sunday night I decided to find the bill of my last plumber and leave a voice mail for Monday morning. Found the bill, it contained specific notes about my pipe configuration. To my surprise a real human answered the phone! Great first re-connection. I conveyed my issue and answering service would relay the message. I received an actual call back (VM) later Sunday offering a spot for Monday morning. They showed up on time, I explained my issue and they went about making repairs. Neither of the previous repair men were still at this shop. They kept me informed ran their equipment and rechecked all the toilets and faucets when they were done. They hosed down the area where the clean out occurred and were fairly timely. I only give 4 stars because they needed to repair their equipment while on the job. Otherwise I would not hesitate to use them again.

I would absolutely do business with them again as a result! *** This review is from service about a year ago and I never got around to posting it. I wish I could put more stars. I scheduled a maintenance service at my home while my tenants were there, and everything seemed smooth with initial communication and visit start. City Wide arrived, spoke to one of my tenants, explained they had to replace the air filter (a K&N reusable one that her husband had bought), and then proceeded to do their work independently. When they were done I was told they left from where they were in the backyard and never provided notice of their departure. Come to find out, the air filter vent in the home has non-standard dimensions, so my tenant's husband said they shoved a new air filter in there and it looked very shoddy indeed. After calling and expressing my dissatisfaction, I felt only then was I given a narrative for what had happened. My impression was, they didn't think it's something that would be noticed or needed explanation, and that is cause for concern. They did come back and fix the problem, this time with my sister supervising the visit. Happy to say, they did educate her on what they were doing and fitted a new filter to the vent. They also did a very good job cleaning the outside unit during the first visit, for which I was grateful.
