She has a chronic problem, so there is no easy fix, but they took the time to really assess the problem and provided exercise to help. Lo and behold, I found myself in need of PT when the practice at my HMO was filled. I asked if I could go to this practice instead, and I am glad I did. They really take the time to understand the "why" of your problem. I appreciate that they do that and not just throw exercises at you. I am very pleased with my therapist, Connor, and already believe I am seeing progress after two weeks.

Now I hear, despite all my best efforts, that I'm not making progress and PT is a waste of my time. This was very devastating news. I was trying to balance PT with recommendations from other health care providers, and it was confusing when the recommendations conflicted, especially about what I should be eating. I feel like there still could be meaningful ways to engage in PT, but now I feel like I'm defective, and it's me as the person who's the waste of time. I thought things were going okay, but the way it ended, especially so abruptly, was extremely upsetting. I'll heal on my own or find someone who can work around my other challenges.

He gave me exercises I could do at home with minimal equipment ($10, bought…read moreat an unrelated store) to strengthen my knees, and after 8 weeks of doing the exercises (about 1/2 as much as I should have done them, because I'm lazy), my knees showed definite improvement! Dr. Ludwig saved me from having arthritic knees at 33. Insurance paid for everything (except the co-pay naturally), so I'm guessing that the reviewer that gave this Dr. a "1" rating didn't have insurance and didn't bother to do any exercises that Dr. Ludwig gave and then wondered why she never got better. Heat, massage and ultrasound technologies were used, as was taping my knee. Low-tech isn't inherently bad!

Over the years, I have preferred this location because there is more than enough free parking. Appointments start and end on time. You can call and reschedule if you need to but you are encouraged to honor your healing and needs and show up to your appointment. I can take the workout I do on site and immediately do it at home.
