Ben was incredible! He was able to fit me in his schedule in a week when everyone else was booked out for 6 months! I was so grateful since I wasn't able to have any fires as we entered the cold season. He was prompt in scheduling, arrived exactly when he said he would, and was genuinely happy to answer any of my questions and educated me on how to get the best performance out of my wood insert. He also taught me how to fix the issue I was having if it ever came up again instead of having to need to call in a professional and be charged between annual cleanings. Ben at Professional Chimney Sweep was great the first time we used them to clean our woodstove chimney. Timely, professional and did a great job. This time when we scheduled our appointment, he arrived on time as scheduled, but after that everything went south. He said our chimney required a taller ladder and he left saying he was going to get a taller ladder and never returned. I called later that afternoon to follow-up on whether he was coming back (because my husband was still at home waiting for him from 9am when he first arrived). He was pretty wishy- washy and said he wouldn't be coming back that day and would call us that evening to reschedule the appointment. That was 6 days ago...I'm not sure if this was just a fluke or not but this was very unprofessional. read more
