I came here to get a simple French tip and it was so thick & bad that I had to go to the dollar tree to get nail stuff to literally repaint them. My first time at this salon. I booked an appointment with Amy two days in advanced for a 1.5-2 hours of nail procedure. I have provided a sample picture of the outcome and all specifications (color and design). Amy hand painted the 3D flowers (not glued) and created the requested designs for my nails. She's skillful, and attention to detail. Outcome- It's perfect for my wedding! These 3 D flowers did showed up in every picture. I'll definitely do it again. Pricing- While other salon charges $15-$20 for acrylic/gel 3 D flower per 1 finger, this location is otherwise. Pricing is fair. My request- 3D flower Some crystals Pink/white base Durability- these lasts for 2-3 weeks before nails started to grow 1-2 cm. Crystals adhered very well. Strong bond. The lady who did my nails was really precise and made suggestions to help me get the nail look I was going for. Also extra big thank you for staying open a little later just to finish our nails, you ladies are the real mvp's. *UPDATE* I work a lot with phones, so my nails go through a lot of rubbing alcohol and digging and scraping against screens, cases, and hard surfaces. It's been about a week and usually by now my gel nails will either chip or the color will fade from all the rubbing alcohol, but usually I go to other nail salons. I used to come to Professionail on a regular basis before I moved out of the area. I just happened to be in Rowland Heights and I wanted to get my gel nail polish removed...and to be honest, I was very reluctant to have it done. This was only my 2nd time getting gel nail polish removed and the first time kind of scared me (that was done at a different nail salon). The manicurist here was very gentle with removing the old gel. She soaked cotton with acetone, placed it on each of my nails and wrapped each in foil. After the gel was softened, she gently scraped it off my nails without causing pain or making me feel anxious. I opted for a manicure with regular nail polish and I was thoroughly satisfied with the service. The entire time I was there on this visit, each chair was filled with customers and more patrons kept coming in to the facility. I'm glad to see that business is good, just like it was 3 years ago when I was a regular here. Even though I had not been to the nail salon recently, they remembered me! :) read more

Tammy is back! It was like I was destined to stop by that day because I was literally floored when I got Tammy. Oh how I've missed her. She is the only manicurist I've experienced that takes her time in doing my nails. She'll look them over and fix anything that she may have overlooked. Once she finishes the polish she'll go over your skin with a brush and clean off any color she may have mistakenly gotten on there. There are two reasons why I'm not giving this place 5 stars. The atmosphere bites. Lighten up everyone! Turn up the music or something. It was just too quiet in there I felt like I had to whisper when conversing with Tammy. Great nail salon. I will for sure come back. Their pricing is extremely fair. They even offer child prices. Ho Vihn Thien Tran did exactly what I asked for. He was very polite and professional. I got a simple pedicure with callus removal. He took extra time to make sure my French tips were perfect. Everything was calm and clean. They have plastic liners for the foot tubs. Worst place ever! Got my nails done by Tanya and they broke up with no pain. I didn't even realize my nail came off and it cracked until I felt something strange with my nails. Got my nails done Friday 04/26/19 and broke off Thursday 05/02/19. I was so happy with them and it was my first time coming. I got pink powder with gel polish and paid $40 with $5 tip for cheap work. I've been to this nail salon a few times now and the main reason I go back is because their gel manicures last a good 3 weeks! Gel manicures are $24 and try to tip in cash because they don't usually charge tip to your card. Service is good and the ladies are sweet. The wait can get long, so either call ahead of time or go right when they open. Last thing is that the hours on yelp were incorrect, so I ended up going today at 9 but they open at 10am on Sundays and close at 5! read more

This place has never disappointed me and the only reason I stopped coming was because our family moved away from the area. I got a gel manicure the day I went, and there was a bubble that start accumulating on one the nails she was painting. The lady quickly noticed this and asked if I was in a rush, which I told her I wasn't. She removed the entire thing with acetone and completely started the process over for that one nail! I have came to this location a few times and they have always made it a great experience every time! First time, I have gotten a mani and pedi gel. Mani was with design and french tip pedi. I forgot who and how much it was.. haha sorry. The review is mainly for my most recent trip. I got a full set gel here and it ie gorgeous! My nail shape was almond white gel (i think it was called snowflake) and gold glitter. I received this service from Tania and she is really precise about the nail shape! I really appreciate that because if it was uneven, it would've drove me crazy. She was gentle handling my nails and the acrylics. I really recommend her! It just took her less than 30 minutes to get my pedicure done (I'm not sure the normal time for it to be done, I'm used to go to the nails place called CT nails next to this plaza which takes them about 45 minutes to an hour). Second time, they did my acrylic and they were wavy and bumpy. Third time, my acrylic nail broke off in the first week after I got them done. I've been here twice, and never again. Sure the shop is clean, but they do a really crappy job on your nails. I went in today for a simple manicure, with black painted tips (no fake nails, my real nails are long-ish.) She glooped on SOOO much top coat, that my black tips look blue and splotchy. First of all, UGH!!! I really want to type more of the inappropriate word but then I think I will be booted to Yelp Jail.... I know a lot of ladies would agree with me that it is very, very, very, difficult to find our true soul mates when it comes to who does our manicure and or pedicure. Right??? I do have my very special lady whom I drive out to in La Habra but unfortunately, she is out of the country for a month. I really needed a manicure since my cuticles really do grow fast. So here I come searching near my neighborhood. I wasn't expecting anything satisfying BUT effin ey, c'mon. So, as I walked in they were fairly busy because most of the spa pedicure stations were taken up and only a few of the manicure stations were vacant. She starts off asking pick a color bla bla... the usual. I said "white tip" please. So she tells me to have a seat and soak my hands in the bowl with plain water for like 7 minutes. And here she comes back. She was so much in a rush taking off my old nail polish WHICH IN FACT was white tip as well and she misses a few spots. I was calm and didn't say a word thinking she'll do it later. (I really do hate to complain) She started cleaning out my cuticle. So right away I said, " Are you not going to use a cuticle softener/remover? " She replies, " No, thats why I told you to put in water. " W T F??? And I can't clearly see how just plain water can soften my cuticles alone. She didn't even push them up and clean the corners. OMFG, I was starting to boil at this point. So I could no longer bite my tongue and I said, " Well I apologize if I am being picky, I would like for you to use the cuticle softener, push up my cuticles, then you can clean, cut all around it. This is what I want especially when I am going to have all white tip. But if I was going to have a regular, dark-colored polish, it would hide the outcome of your lazy job! " Then I added, "And please remove all the old nail polish on my nails, thank you. " O K. Not sure how much of that she actually understood. But I'm sure all the customers heard me loud and clear since it is a small space! Anyway, she eventually did what I told her what to do but with attitude. But I don't care, I'm still the customer who knows what I want and what a good manicure entails. At the end she asked, "Are you happy now? " And again, W T F???? I said "Yes" sarcastically! Friggin biatch! UGH!!!! I will never, never, never ever come back here again. Next time, I will just do my own manicure, buy the supplies/solution myself if my regular lady is out of town again. This is my FAVORITE nail place. I'm a regular here. I love this place for a few reasons: 1. The ladies are all SO sweet 2. They never pressure you to get more treatments than you want. Waxing is great here too. Tanya's the best, very very sweet. I'm a diehard ProfessioNAIL lover! My only tip on tips: they don't have the line you add on your credit card for tips, so bring cash for tip. They're so nice, they told me not to pay tip! They won't add it onto your cc bill. If I could give zero stars I would. I've been here before and never had such terrible service as I did today. I asked for a pedicure and was told to pick my color. I picked it and was directed to a chair. I sank my feet into the bubbling water and turned on the massage chair. 45 MINUTES later I'm approached by one of the ladies and asked if I can wait 10 minutes longer. I tell her I have to be somewhere in 45 minutes but heck...I've waited this long. Might as well wait a little longer. 15 minutes later I ask for a towel and tell them I'm leaving. All of them chorus "Sorry" but are they really? You may ask why I didn't leave a half hour earlier...I don't have a good answer for that. I guess I just didn't notice the time. Also was in a hurry, so they completed it quickly. Pedicure ~ Happy! Really happy with how it turned out. I hate do a pedicure on myself, so I usually go to a salon for this. Manicure ~ They didn't use cuticle softener. Thought that was strange, but my nails came out alright. They could have buffed them a bit more, to make it more smooth, but they didn't. They shortened it and made them look clean. Massage ~ Their hand and foot massage is not really worth it? Maybe because I'm so used to Chinese foot massage and acupressure... so I like firm firm pressure. Too soft for me. Ambiance ~ I don't remember music. So that was strange? The lady working on my pedicure was friendly, but the one doing my nails was indifferent. I was really happy to see a lot of older ladies walk in and know all the employees by their first name. This place has gone waaayyyyy downhill. My daughter & I showed up at 9:30 (hours posted are 9:30-7). Even though the sign on the door says they open at 9:30 we didn't get inside until 9:55 and we're still waiting for the nail techs to show up. Their excuse - traffic. Seriously??? All of them are stuck in the same traffic jam? We're in LA folks. Think of a better one. On top of that they sit us both in the pedicure chairs, fill the tubs with cold water and leave us sitting there for 20 more minutes. Meanwhile, other customers show up and get started on. When I told her to use acetone, she refused and said "It takes forever,".
