Do NOT go to this nail salon. I patiently waited half an hour with my nails soaking in acetone (thankfully I knew to take them out after 10 minutes), before anyone remembered I was sitting there. Without a word of apology, the nail artist came over and said "they didn't come off". No acknowledgment of my time or being forgotten. At first they didn't let us sit together but after repeatedly telling them and seeing how bothered I was getting they gave in. But they were being extremely rude about me wanting to sit with her ?? I rate it 0!!!!! the girl who did my nails was rude and wouldn't listen to anything i was saying. When she put my nails on she cut me on three finger and i started bleeding. She saved my nails down to be so thin my nail beds were red. Once my nails were on she put the white part way to low on my nail that more then 3/4 of my nail was covered in the french tip. I had to go back in to get them painted and they said they would only do this once and i would just have to wait for them to grow out and come back and pay for a new set. I got a bio gel full set with glitter and rhinestones ($70) and a pedicure ($35) at this salon today and I am very pleased with the service and their work! I am not from Calgary staying in one of the airport area hotels and I found it easy to find and I did not need an appointment. All in all they were great. I recommend you give them a try. read more

Design was great. Pedi was meh. Last was nice but u could kind of care that she just didn't give a f...they didn't put any of the salts in the water. Did the tiniest bit or dry skin removal (I really do mean tiniest as it's almost nothing off) short barley touching massage then started on paint job. No scrubs or anything. While I was getting mine another last was getting her first one by a different girl...they also did almost non existent dry skin removal, file her toe nails too short so that they hurt her to stand and u could see the skin was red and inflamed. She asked them to do my dry skin and callous work and when they finally she started to fill the tub for of scorching hot water burning the lady and her feet. This place is a joke. We had an appointment which they didn't care about and we got started 15 minutes late. The whole pedicure took less than 15 mins and my girl kept leaving to work on other people's nails and talk to other workers. She even answered the phone and spent 3 minutes on a call. The "files" they use to remove dead skin are actually micro plane graters for cooking. (Saw the brand name). When we were done, instead of being allowed to relax in the pedi chair we were hurried off to the waiting chairs to dry completely. There were 7 empty chairs and no one waiting yet "cleaning the chair" was a priority. Not at all relaxing or even customer oriented and my feet and nails are snaggy and rough. I've been to this salon 3 times. First time was alright. I got French tip Acrylics. The second time i went back to get a full set the gentle man that works there was friendly but very rough. Filing my skin around my cuticle and jabbing his thumb nails into the side of my nails. That night my fingers where throbbing from the pain. One week later 2 nails had broke so i went back to get them fixed and the senior lady who sits in the second station in the second row said 15.00 to fix them. Uhhg! I couldn't believe it. 20.00 for a fill!!! So of course she up sells me to just get a fill done 35.00 ( price of a full set) Im a Cosmetologist of 20 yrs and have been getting nail for 23 yrs. I know my stuff! This lady was rude, made you feel uncomfortable and is not a service person at all. I paid i left. That evening I had my sisters engagement dinner and all my nails went yellow. So now I've paid for a fill, 2 broken nails and she used old nail polish ( top coat) on me. Im sooooo upset. I don't even live close to the damn mall. The next day i go back upset but polite. I walked in and another lady said can i help you. I walk over to her so im not yelling across the salon to tell her i got my nails done here yesterday and she used old stuff that made my nails yellow and i want it fixed. So she gets that bitchy senior nail tec to come over and i said you used old product on me and i need you to fix it. She proceeded to tell me i probably did it because im a hairstylist and i work with color and perms. SHOCKED!! I said i didn't even do hair yesterday. I asked her how long shed done hair for. She said 15 yrs... I say okay so you know better. Asked if she was happy with her work. She ignored me. This rude lady filed my nails down and then starts putting a clear coat on it. I said there still yellow and she asks me if i want them filed again. Yes I do! I want all the yellow gone. I paid for a full set yesterday and i had an engagement party to go to and my nails are embarrassing. So she files them down more. I was so mad. She put a nother top coat on and left me to sit at the fan to dry my nails. She slips away and hides in the back until im done. She never once apoligized, or even tried to fix them. I left with my nails slightly yellow still and because she filed all my acrylic off my nails broke 4-5 days later leaving me with 6 nails in total on both hands. Amazing!! I used Yelp to find a near by salon for a fill and read a few of the reviews but didn't really think much of the comments and just booked a time for after work. I had to wait 15 to 20 mins which I went on a my phone to pass time and then I started reading more of the reviews. Alot of negative comments and feedback that I was beginning to get discouraged about choosing this salon and I was ready to walk out and leave. One of the ladies could see that I was getting impatient and called me up and asked me what I would like to get done. I went with the French manicure and asked if she had sparkles and seeing how some people mentioned they made up prices etc i asked how much it would cost.. she said for me $60 with sparkles. At the end, Michelle did an amazing job cut the cuticles (which most salons don't even do) The other girls working would come by and make conversations and made it welcoming there. Never going in there again!!. I asked for a pedicure and a manicure. Once I was there I asked them to instead do gel nails. The manager was so rude and asked me why I changed my mind. She started talking to her staff in her language and I felt completely uncomfortable. Would not go here again. I had a cold foot bath for my pedicure. I asked the lady to make it warm. There was literally a trickle of hot water. Once it finally started warming up she came back and turned the water on full blast which literally was ice cold water again. The one lady dealing with my friend was not very friendly. I started coming to this studio because it was convenient, but I was never overly impressed with the service. For the most part, it was adequate BUT they have a huge staff with, what I assume is lots of turnover because I rarely see the same manicurists more than twice. What finally $%$$@@ me off completely was what happened today. For years I've been doing BioGel nails, and when I moved to Calgary from Toronto I was shocked at the prices here. Easily 1.5x -2x as expensive as in Toronto. In early August I went in for a fill, and one of the manicurists talked me into trying Gel Powder; it turned out to be cheaper and I wouldn't have the burning that one gets one these days because a lot of the salons are using the cheaper gel. (I never had this burning when they used the original BioSculpture Gel). She charged me $45 for a new set, and they lasted for some time with no chips or cracks or crazing. I definitely wanted to go back and get a fill. When I walked in today, the woman who had served me before was not there. Another available manicurist came up to me and said she could do gel powder. When she looked at my nails, she said they were lifting (they are), so she couldn't do a fill but a new set was going to cost me - get this $15 to CUT MY NAILS and then $65 for a new set. She wanted to charge me $80 for a new set, when last month the same set cost me $45, plus tax and tip. Last month, I still needed the old gel taken off and my nails cut but I was NOT asked for an additional $15. Unbelievable!! Every time I go there, the prices are whatever they seem to pick out of the air. What I really believe is that they are 'individual contractors and they charge whatever they think they can get away with. What a rip off, and I strongly advise anyone looking for a mani/pedi or anything to do with aesthetics to go elsewhere. One star is being generous! Take your $$ and your business to other studios. Their company motto is "Quality services at affordable prices." After having gone here more than a few times I feel that it is reasonable for me to disagree with this. I have mostly gone here for acrylic and gel nails and once for a pedicure. I have kept coming thinking maybe the service was poor because I got a nail tech who was new or training and that the next time, it might be better. But it their service has continually disappointed me. I have finally decided that I have given them more than a few chances and I have decided not to come here again. Two days ago I paid $70 dollars for gel nails. To my extreme disappointment, it was not authentic gel. It was a gel overlay which should not have cost me $70. On top of that, when she was prepping my nails, she was aggressive enough that two of my nails started to bleed. And then a day after getting my gel nails done, one of the nails already started lifting and peeling off. This is not the first time this has happened. Incidentally, I ran into a nail tech who used to work here who told me she quit because she felt that a lot of the girls lacked training, proper experience and mediocre customer service . She warned me not to go there. I should have listened. This is my fault. I just wanted to write this review for anyone who decides they would like to come here for the first time. If you are thinking about it, I would suggest giving them a test run first. Maybe get a manicure or pedicure. But I would not recommend spending money on expensive treatments here. Customer service was horrible here, I went in to get gel nails and the lady who did mine hardly spoke to me and when I asked for shorter nails she still kept them longer then I liked. I paid 70 bucks for what was suppose to be solar gel and they weren't. A few days after I noticed they were starting to lift, I went back in 3 days after on a monday and the manager there was extremely rude. The lady who did my nails had to fix them again, when I left there was gel on my skin and they looked no better then when I had gone in. Also there was a lady there that was booked for a pedi, they told her to pick a color and when she didn't hear the girl repeated herself and I saw the manager roll her eyes. Again a few days later due to the gel being on my skin, they began to lift. I called in to speak to the manager and she pretty much told me they do not do refunds. Also that the same lady would be fixing them again even after I asked for someone else to do it. I haven't even had the nails for a week and then she suggested the they just take them off. This is my first Yelp review and it's because people need to avoid this place. The lady doing my nails was fine. It's the tools, products and management that are awful. The lotion was clearly watered down. The nail file at the dollar store is better than what they had. The foot file looked like a cheese grater (for real!). In addition to poor customer service, I paid 70 for JUST a shellac pedicure. If this was a "nicer" salon, I would understand but similar salons charge $75 for shellac mani and pedi. Never again, me and my sisters went together on a "spa day" .... One sister left, 3 days later 2 nails popped right off. Another sister had her nail drilled so deep near the cuticle bed that her nail is cracked from it being so thin. When we went in to complain they pointed us in the direction of a teeeeeeny tiny sign that states "we are not liable for infections, or lifting nails" ............. I wonder how many complaints they received about people getting infections from here for them to have to put up that sign.... I found that quite disturbing personally. HORRENDOUS! ! Unprofessional, unsanitary, zero customer service and far too expensive for a basic service!! I have had gel/acrylic nails for many years and this salon, by far, is the absolute worst place I have ever been. The "technician " did not understand what I wanted (shape my nails by filing, gel polish...pretty basic!) She simply grabbed my hand and cut my nails off! My beautiful long natural nails! I asked her what she was doing and she said "you wanted your french off right?". Seriously? I was very polite and asked what she was doing, why did she cut my nails off? She says...taking them off. Then she takes a plastic nail and separates/removes my remaining gel polish by inserting the plastic between my nail bed and the gel. This is NOT how gel nails are removed. They are drilled down gently. It was incredibly painful. The technician sitting next to her knew I was upset yet said nothing. My nails look nothing like the photo I showed her - cream polish with sparkle accent...they are now white (like liquid paper) with a sparkle accent of one coat of glitter. You can see my nailbed between the sparse glitter. This is my first review on Yelp as every nail enthusiast needs to know how terrible this salon is. I went back to have them fixed a couple hours later...and nope! They would not do it. They said I would have to pay for a full set! I just paid $52.50 for a chop job and my 9 year old niece does a better job with nail polish! Awful awful awful! Ladies please, keep looking for a reputable salon. I went here a two days before mothers day and it was packed even though i had a 2 pm appointment they didnt care it was first come first served. the girl that did my nails was very rude, i have ridges on my nails and i chose a bubble gum pink nail color when she did four coats and there were still ridges showing through.she got irrate with me it was my fault because she said i chose that color, well excuse me your the expert she said in her broken english see i told you, see i told you twice thats why she said i asked you if your sure about that color because she said she knew that color wouldnt hid my ridges??i have never had a manicure and had to pick another color because she couldnt fix the problem by buffing it up a bit or applying a ridge filler.this place is rush rush rush no spa like feel here. just a half assed job on everything to filling your nails and stuff. i will never go back. this place reminded me of the seinfeld episode with elaine. this shop cattle prods you from chair to chair. the chairs when they do your pedicure on are supposed to give you a massage but they are not turned on and nor do they ask you if you want to turn it on,because i guess your not in it to get comfy, the water was barely luke warm. the girl next to me had bleeding toe nails because they cut them too short and had to ask for a cup of water twice because the nail tech i use that word loosly couldnt understand english. by the way i didnt see any of the nail techs diplomas or certificates any where on the walls makes me wonder if there not just hiring their relatives with no training and stuff. i will keep looking for another nail place. one that doesnt have there employes on a timer, oh by the way to the girl gracie who has a pic of her nail on here, im sorry but the way they shaped your nail looks kind of crooked to me.i have seen better. read more

Do not go here! I stopped in on Friday Dec 19th, the manager/owner lady (Lisa) sliced open 3 of my fingers with the nail file and the electric file. I went there for a pedicure with my three year old daughter, they don't have any equipment for kids, the massage chairs don't work. And while I was sitting there the chair beside me was used. Once the lady was done in that chair they sat the next client down and used the same chair and basin without cleaning it. I was disgusted and will never return. I wanted to treat myself to a mani/pedi after a tough week. Wow-basically I got a file and color change. Rush, Rush, Rush! Was in chair 30 minutes for BOTH! Barely soaked my feet, water super hot to where I couldn't put my feet in, then she kept adding ice cold even when I told her it was good. Soaked hands in cold water, so soap. No autoclave bags. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! We booked our pedicure appointments 1 week in advance and when we arrived we picked out our nail polish colors then proceeded to be ignored for 15 minutes among another 5 customers also being ignored. Finally, we were told to sit in the pedicure chair with a scalding hot foot bath - zero jets, zero massage capabilities in the VERY uncomfortable chairs. We were once again ignored for another 40 minutes while we waited patiently for any of the 3 workers to finish up their manicure clients. Obviously by this point our water was cold and we were ready to leave and started drying off our feet when one of the ladies told us the nail colors we picked were Chelac and we would be charged an extra $30 for the nail polish upgrade. I would not pay a dime for the service we were given here today as the lady did not care about our business or even apologize for the wait. This is a prime example of a salon placing more importance on the quantity of customers in the door with rushed service rather than providing quality service which motivates customers to stay and/or return to this business. If we wanted to soak our feet in a tub and have an amateur quickly paint our toes with $5 clear out nail polish from Shoppers Drug Mart then we could do that ourselves for free at home-in fact, that is exactly what we ended up doing! I had been going there off and on for a couple of years for nails. Always hit and miss how they turned out, depending which nail technician you got. Made the mistake of getting a pedicure this summer. Was forgotten about, water cold. Lady working on my feet very distracted. Ripped my ingrown toenails sides out from the cuticle up. Excruciating pain and bled tones. The pain continued that night, having to take pain killers. Within' 2 days toes were so swollen and throbbing could barely walk. Went to medical walk in clinic where they had to drain the infected toes and wrap. Was put on an oral anti biotic and cream. Was told they would have had to have used dirty tools to cause that. Spoke with owner who just asked for a description of the nail tech. No refund was offered. Reported them to health board. Took months for feet to return to normal. Toes were scabbed up and a mess for entire sandal season. Do not go if safety, health and cleanliness are of concern!!! read more
