The assessments are spot on and as suspected, Carina is a verbal learner so it wasn't that she didn't know the material; she would just get stuck on the homework and not be able to push through on her own. Knowing that she had two concentrated hours/week with a tutor in the study skills program (all who are very qualified) kept her very efficient and organized with her homework load, and has really taken alot of pressure off of her. Time management has greatly improved. She is now at a 3.8 GPA which is a far cry from where she started before coming here! We would definitely sacrifice other areas of our household budget in order to keep Tutoring Center---worth every penny!

The class sizes are small (6 students in Mini classes) and well-paced. The water is very warm and the instructors are encouraging and understanding. My son mostly just wants to play with the balls and barbell floatie so we like that toys are incorporated. They have a lot of membership options (month to month, seasonal packages, etc) and were very easy to reschedule with when needed. Long story short not a good place for adults to learn how to swim and their policies are outdated IMO. @Jen B Six classes and I still don't know how to swim a credit to a place where I haven't learned much seems useless. A suggestion for you to help everyone is to send a reminder email letting the customer know that renewal is coming so they can reply letting you know they won't be renewing. Thank you

With something as tedious as studying for the SAT/ACT, it can be very difficult to find motivation -- I'm speaking from personal experience! Not to mention in the middle of a global pandemic, either, where the state of testing dates and centers are unreliable. However, despite all possible variables, Gloria still managed to facilitate an environment of compassion and growth. As the ACT revolves around strategies and strengths, Gloria immediately assessed my innate testing abilities and then gave further instruction from there. Unfortunately, due to COVID, I never was able to take my ACT, as my 5 sessions were canceled each time. Regardless, my months spent with Gloria raised my 30 to an average of 33-35 through conceptual conditioning and becoming familiar with the testing format. Leaving each session, I felt motivated and proud of my performance. Gloria's enthusiastic/motivating personality is perfect if you want a tutor that will inspire your student to challenge themselves. read more

Gloria is very skilled at what she does and definitely one of the most qualified tutors I've had! She helped me with both my SAT and ACT tests. She really cares about her students and works to improve areas where one is struggling in. She constructs the lessons around areas where she thinks you are struggling in or areas you personally want to work on. When I first heard I was going to have an online tutor, I didn't anticipate how efficient the lessons would still be. I figured because it was online on Skype we would eventually run into problems, especially the math portion, but the lessons were just as efficient and effective as being tutored in person. She really does a good job of preparing you for either the SAT or ACT while also teaching you different strategies on how to approach the SAT tests and the ACT tests. The kid is a great applicant, but trying to guide her on my own was a nightmare. After trying that approach for far too long, I enrolled her in this program and instantly felt at ease. I didn't have to nag because they kindly nudged the kid with all that needed to happen. They had all these additional tips that I had no clue about. Like little known, less competitive majors or what tired, overdone personal statement topics to avoid. Well worth the money for expert advice and less fighting. Ok, I can't help myself. I have to brag that the kid is a UCLA Bruin. Couldn't be prouder. Feels like I was the one admitted!

I had him at 20 and attended college later as an adult so I wasn't quite aware of the process out of high school. I was sooo happy that I found them. Julie was simply amazing and broke everything down for me and supported my son by prioritizing his needs with the deadlines, help with the application process, and utilizing their essay review service. I knew that signing up in the summer before my son's senior year wouldn't magically make everything right, but it definitely brought down the stress level for both of us. Apparently, they sell out every year and I'm glad I was able to get a spot. If you have a child who needs help for the college admissions process, don't wait until school starts their senior year. I wish I would have known about their parent companies Premiere Prep and Junior Scramble sooner, but you live and learn. Hopefully I've saved one parent from procrastinating with this post!! Looking forward to some good news in the months ahead for my son.
