Dr. Lo is one of those people. A natural educator in a dental scrubs, Dr. Lo took the time to explain common misconceptions about dental hygiene with kindness and zeal. Like I said, I've never felt more excited about flossing and brushing. I took advantage of a new patient promotion for the office and am so glad that I did. The staff are welcoming and take the time to answer questions. I was not upsold on any service. From what I could tell, this dental office is more interested in giving patients what they actually need and does not try to sell products or procedures that are not necessary. It sounds like they offer a membership for self-pay patients as well that would offest the cost for those who are underinsured as well. Happy with the discovery of this dentist. They had me pay all dental work in advance and then, if my PPO paid I would be reimbursed. They actually said, "your insurance will not pay some of these charges." I needed the work so I paid. My insurance paid half each time I went so I should have been reimbursed their payment, but I wasn't. When I asked, I was told that their were services that they would not pay. I understand that but I paid all services in full and they paid half so I should receive the refund. Their accounting stated that there is no refund. I am contacting the BBB and sending copies of my documents versus the ones they just sent me. Fraudulent company taking teachers hard earned money and thinking that it's ethical. Her assistant, Bridget, tends to be a little abrasive and tends to "shame" you if a crown comes off or something happens beyond your control. Dr. Lacy is a little pushy when it comes to booking appointments. I do have dental insurance but if I am at my limit for the year, I don't have a lot of money to pay for something out of pocket. She doesn't seem to understand this. I won't be going back for these reasons.
