The Best-Of-The-Best! My Proctor quiver is now 4 deep, and as a direct result my surfing just keeps getting better and better. The stoke meter has required major recalibration because of the new level of performance and enjoyment I get from having Proctor Man under my chest. My first 7'0" MonstaChief Titanium II instantly felt like a magic board, and it enabled me to do things that were previously only a spectator sport for a big guy like myself. Welcome to thruster land! There is 0% chance I could find anything even remotely comparable off the rack in any surf shop. Then I ordered my 6'4" MonstaChief HD. More of the same magic in a smaller footprint. Fast forward decided to add a 6'10" MonstaChief Step-up Pin for pumping surf (can drop in on bombs and thread the line like never before). Then most recently Todd shaped me a 6'6" Monsta Fish Quad that is my favorite board ever unless it's really firing and need more rocker / less nose etc. in which case I am more than adequately prepared to grab another Proctor favorite from my rack. Todd is a true master at his craft, yet he continues to explore the curious hydrodynamic possibilities and outer limits of surfboard creation. Pure genius. Todd is a very talented fine artist too, like the real deal, check out his paintings of J-Bay and Nias . . . so if you go custom don't cheat yourself out of some of Todd's unique graphic designs that will have others in the parking lot going "wow! what's THAT!" Working with Todd and Charissa Proctor is a smooth, interactive, attention to detail, you get what you pay for but exceeds your expectations experience. OK this board just rips!!! Gets me where I want to go FAST, paddles like a dream, and forces me into better positions and gives me the ability to just rip on a good performance wave, such a blast to have this board on that Indo trip! When I stomp on the traction paid it just BURSTS out more energy / speed, to get around the critical section of the wave. It literally made me laugh, at how much more speed I could generate by stoping on the pad, it was insane good!!! The new board was also really good, (and looked just stunning with that color and in the perfect Indian ocean, people were like "that is stunning bro!!!!") but I found myself grabbing my red/white ghost and the blue board for most of my sessions there. I have a feeling I need a bit more time with the green one, by no means am I bummed with it, I see the potential, it was just that the waves were perfect everyday, and I felt better with the two boards that I just seem to know better. I had an amazing trip!!! Thank you so much! Once I get more data on the new one I will let you know for sure :) My OG Red / White ghost is such an amazing go to board as well, when the waves were less than a perfect 10 or on softer backhand waves or even more hardcore backhand waves, that thing is just a GEM! Charissa, Todd: I've been meaning to write you two about the Mini Manatee: it's a killer, plan and simple. We've had a decent run of small, fun summer surf here and in the OBX and I think I have been out every day possible. In years past there is a chance I wouldn't have gone out on these days, or surfed and most likely had a "frustration session." The MM, it seems, has changed that and I'm grateful. I'm spending my time surfing vs. fighting my board and it feels good. Turns, late take-offs, floaters and when you are in the sweet spot it's got some drive -- really fun. On Saturday I let a friend take it out and after two hours of watching him get waves I had to swim out to the lineup and get my board back because it was evident he wasn't coming in. All this said, thanks for not letting me rush into buying something that may have not been what I needed. I have to admit I'm think about ordering another and putting it away because I'm going to ride this one until it breaks. Hope all is well. read more

Picked up a Grovel Chief a few weeks back and it's honestly the best board I've ever ridden. Fast and loose, glidey down the line but still skatey and easy to throw around. Holds speed through turns and links sections together effortlessly, even in small gutless surf I wouldn't bother to paddle out in otherwise. I've never had so much fun on a board. Other Proctor reviewers have said they've never surfed better in their lives with Todd's boards, and I can now say with conviction that this is absolutely true. I've heard people talk about "magic" boards before but I've never felt that way about a board until now. This board is a work of art, truly magic. Not only is Todd a master shaper, but he and his wife Charissa are simply awesome people. It's a privilege to know them and to have this amazing board. Thank you both so much! read more

I've been riding proctor surfboards for many years now and they have always impressed me with their durable construction, functionality and designs calibrated for waves you surf. Todd has a lot of enthusiasm for shaping and especially creating new designs. I have yet to order the same exact board from Todd because he always tweaking his shapes to make them better. Charissa (Todds wife) runs all the activities that don't have to do with shaping and ensures that ordering a board from Todd is a fluid process. Thanks Todd and Charissa for all the amazing boards! To the Proctor team, The new Monsta with jet-stream worked amazing. It was fast and predictable and not once did I experience slippage on turns. Basically its exactly what I wanted, a good job to all. Only problem is now I will have to replace my small wave board with the Hideoscillous someday. read more
