I had to call at 3:15 to see what was going on. He informed me the tech JUST started looking at it a half hour or so before then and they'd call me back ASAP. I called back almost two hours later and asked what in the world was going on. He put me on hold, then came back and said they can't work with this brand of laptop! Why wasn't I told this the second I walked in the door, the first time I called after the technician had "started looking at it" or sometime in between?! When I picked it up right before closing, because again, I had to call to see what was going on, the laptop was in even worse shape than it was when I dropped it off, yet "they only searched based on the information on the back and never touched it in any other way." Bullshit. All of it. The You Break It, We Fix It computer repair was able to tell me over the phone it'd be next to impossible based on the brand for them to fix it. He saved me time, money and stress with actually taking a minute to look into it over the phone, unlike this Computer Shoppe, amazingly reviewed, repair that isn't trustworthy the moment you step in the door. I took a stereo amplifier in for estimate of repair which costs $45 on October 21,2022. After waiting nearly six weeks I went into his shop on Tuesday November 29 and was told he just put it up on the bench and it was next in line to get looked at. I heard nothing so I went back in there on Friday December 2 and he shows me he has it opened up (4 screws) but hasn't had a chance to troubleshoot it yet so he couldn't tell me what was wrong with it or how much it would cost to repair. There was absolutely no service rendered on his part yet he would not refund my $45 that I paid him to troubleshoot and give me an estimate.
