The show!

Totally lucked out because we were visiting while Anthony Pluke was performing here. ( Saw him on the Mainland back in 2018!) The Playhouse is a gem--intimate setting with incredible acoustics. Reasonable pricing and looks like a super lineup of events. Warm and welcoming staff too!

Concert with Amy Hanaiali
Brian S.

Amy Hanaiali i it's a premier singer and songwriter who provides a rich cabaret show experience with a single guitarist as an accompanist. It was an enjoyable 90 minute show with some multimedia thrown in discussion about Hawaiian culture and history. The location is very good. Felt intimate sound system is strong. I only wish there was a piano player and a drummer, but I totally enjoyed the show.

The ahí poke was my favorite, but they had beef, chicken, pork, fish, veggies galore, Ube bread, a wide variety of desserts, some delicious appetizers, and the list goes on! Our entire table was so happy with this luau--they really do it right!! I recommend getting the standard package since it's close enough and using free self parking versus the valet. 10/10 recommend! I will be back if I have more visitors.

The venue is beautiful and have plenty of space. We were seated towards the back so it a bit more difficult to pay attention and hear. The show was decent but it didn't start until later and it was paced out pretty slow. The whole event seems to be longer than needed.. from 4:30-8ish but it was nice to experience sunset here. Food was actually decent. A lot of places are ayce but this was family-style. Service was great and they kept refilling our food to make sure we're never empty. The short ribs were the best. Poke was good and simple, fish was a bit dry, salad was refreshing, but fruits were surprisingly not as sweet as I thought it would be in Maui. It's also aycd at the bar but the cocktails were very sweet. I learned to just order shots. They also have coffee and tea available. They had a cool tattoo and cute flower station too. Cool place to check out!

Wailea Sunset Luau - This is the venue from the parking lot. The entire outside is all of the seating and the small stage is in the lefthand of the building.

This was not a traditional luau that you're probably used to. Upon arriving, we thought we had to…read morebe at the wrong place because the intimate setting/venue is a golf course clubhouse turned into a very small seating area and a super TINY stage that fits at most 6 dancers. The stage being so small, it was difficult for those in the back to watch comfortably without twisting and turning to catch the few dancers on stage. My back is literally hurting right now after watching only an hour of the show earlier tonight. For the amount of money paid for a family of 5, this was a joke. This luau is NOT worth the price paid. For a couple hundred more, we could have booked a much more authentic luau on the beach. The descriptions I found of this place only shows the close up pictures of the dancers on stage which make it seem they are at an entirely different venue. The "amazing" sunset views are obstructed by trees and you constantly see the parking lot. The pictures make it seem like it's near the beach but is it quite far on the top of a hill surrounded by a road and parking lot. This is a joke venue. It seems the owner literally paid the golf club a venue fee and then charged an arm and a leg to guests and made a killing. The dancers were the same 5 or 6 over and over just different costumes. The ONLY good is the food, free drinks and shell lei. All of that is not worth the money we paid though. I highly do not recommend this luau unless they lower the prices. I know Maui is bouncing back but charging that much is ridiculous

The service was outstanding, the staff was always on top of things throughout the entire night. The dancers and the entertainment were exceptional. It wasn't your typical big and crowded luau. There were local Hawaiian vendors selling craft goods before one enters into the venue. It's not a Polynesian Cultural Center event, but it is nice and laid back. We did not spend the extra $50 each to have VIP seating and front row seats. We were in the very back row for some reason but it was still quite acceptable. The venue is smaller so all the seats are actually decent enough with okay visibility of the stage. Worth a visit if you're in Maui and don't want to spend big $$ on a luau. It was good value for the money we paid and we would go there again.

The desserts were all store bought not fresh. The show was just ok. Dancers were not great but the singers were good. The drinks are all well and not tasty. They don't flower things for around your neck but come around charging $35 meanwhile it was a $160 price to go. The vendors outside are all overpriced looking to get tourists. The photographer took photos when we arrived in front of a mango tree. When we left she was charging $37 a photo that cost 50cents. Btw there was a hair in my wife's food. They don't cook a pig underground like a luau is supposed to have either. Would stay away from this tourist trap and go elsewhere. Very sad

On my last visit to hawaii I stayed at the Hilton Waikiki Beach Hotel. What a treat it was to see…read morethat there was a magic show offered. The first showing impressed me so much I had to go again! Micheal (Kekoa), brings such a special brand of charisma as does the rest of the staff (whom usually alternate). This really brought back my appreciate for magic. The best part is that this is close up magic, so you get a very intimate feel and see things as close as possible. As with all magic shows there is a bit of story you have to buy into, but that's the beauty of it all, is to give that feeling and belief that something can happen. This show and staff really captures all those in the most entertaining and hilarious way possible. Thank you again Kekoa and staff, next time I'm in Hawaii I will surely find any excuse to visit.

If you're looking for something new and different for a fun night, date night, or an alternative to…read morethe movies, I would definitely recommend this show. My hubby and I have been together for more than 30 years so this has been a great new date night option. We have been to 2 of these shows, different magicians, and left thinking both times, "how did he do that?" We've been to the big Vegas Shows but this was like sitting in a cozy living room with a group of friends while watching everything close up. You would be extra lucky if there are children in the group because they add to the "Wow!" factor. The magicians are top notch and do a fantastic job engaging the audience and adding their own humor to their delivery. Last night we were lucky enough to attend Shoot Ogawa's last show (for now. He made everything look so simple, natural, some were old slight of hand but still left us scratching our heads. We understand that he is going to be back in a couple of weeks). If you share your email address, they also provide you discount coupons to attend another show, no strings attached. They said that they rotate through the top 20 international parlor magicians. Even the most skeptical audience members left with smiles on their faces. The magicians also stick around at the end to pose for pictures with people from the audience. We also received a complimentary drink and free validated parking. I would recommend following the instructions on the confirmation to be there early. They take people in by groups. The staff members are super friendly and funny. They take you into a small room with a bunch of neat stuff that make you ask, "is that for real?" The first group will get first choice seating. Sit in the middle for the best view and get ready for a no - low tech night of old fashioned entertainment.
