This place is in our neighborhood and very close to home. It's important to have a reliable auto shop nearby. No frills and no fuss at a place like this. Well I got a flat tire this morning. No fun at all! I felt it immediately while driving and luckily was close to home. I checked my tire and it was deflating fast. Something bigger than a nail was in there...check my photos to see the broken key that deflated my tire in record time! I showed up at the shop knowing there was a chance they wouldn't take it considering the amount of cars I see them working on at any given moment. The gentleman said they don't normally do patchwork but would hate to see me stranded. He said it'd be completed by noon. At 10:41am they called to inform me my car was ready. Talk about efficiency and hospitality! They charged me $25 for the whole operation. It's an easy fix for them and I think the most appropriate pricing for something of this nature. This day I had a front motor mount replaced, serpentine belt and a leaky type gasket on the radiator. By 1:30 it was complete and ready to pickup. I needed much more taken care of but finances didn't allow. It took a couple days to notice the hanging back passenger wheel fender had been lifted and attached back in place while there. Went in for an oil change and safety check for my Tacoma. He calls to say my front brakes need to…read morebe changed and sends pictures of the brakes. I didn't know a lot about disc brakes and was busy so I said yes, change the brake pads. Later I read up on disc brakes. While they had worn almost to where the wear indicator (squealer) was touching the rotor, there was still a good .2 inch left, which is at least 15-20k miles. When the pads wear down to the squealer, it's only time to start thinking about changing your brakes. Turns out you there's still plenty of brake left (until the bottom of that 'u' groove in the middle of the pad). I would give 2 stars because the brakes were halfway worn and the price to replace was on-par, but he straight up lied to me, saying it "needs to be done today" and the brake pads were at "2%". Total bs. $200 for something that could have waited a year and a half. Dishonest.
