Horrible business practices. Got full tint done on my vehicle and was told because it's too old that's why there were so many defects in the tint. After bringing it back John wanted to make sure I understood if that because he uses too much water to remove and replace the tint if any electronics were damaged that I would be responsible. In 2024 we're not able to prevent damaged electronics from a poor tint job then fixing the tint? No offer to reimburse for the terrible job and truly felt like a scare tactic to not have them fix their terrible craftsmanship. I've had a lot of tint done and NEVER had anywhere these kind of issues. He also recommended just leaving it because the tint will go bad in three years... What? John explained to me it's because he thought I wanted 'dealership' quality tint and that it was my fault I didn't explain I wanted higher level tint. That it would have cost more in the $500-$1000 range for better quality... Well I didn't want a crap job and money isn't a problem for me. But it doesn't matter how much I paid. This was an insane experience. Never will I use John again for any kind of services. I recommend you don't either. read more

Worst customer service and unprofessional employees/owner. My 2 quarter windows and rear glass were loose and they tinted them. Both quarters were redone due to bubbles and dirt. Rear glass had bubbles and light was showing through which they touched up and claimed to redo because of a large dirt speck. They did not redo the rear glass and lied to me and said it was done after an argument the employee said the owner said to let it go. The quarter glass windows still look like crap and I will take them to another shop. I was threatened once I said I would not pay for my windows since they were done incorrectly. Cleaning windows before install is standard practice and not an excuse! I was threatened and forced to pay or else I wouldn't receive my glass back. I honestly didn't know making a police report was an option. I will never go here again! read more

I contacted several car window tinting and clear shield chip guard services in Lincoln to get an estimate for my 2018 Porsche Macan. I was looking for a professional level of service at a fair price. Pro Tint was the only company that responded to my request from others online quotes. I spoke to the owner John who was great to work with and provided a fair price and scheduled within a weeks notice. It took them two days to complete the service and I appreciated their level of detail. Great job and very happy with the end results. I had a totally flawless experience with Pro-Tint. Called in a Monday, they got me in Tuesday and had the car finished an hour before they said they would. They gave clear instructions, put a sticker over the window switches advising not to open them for 48 hours and advised that the bubbles in the back window would go away, but proactively said that if after a week there was anything I didn't like, to come back and they would make it right. Today is Friday (I waited an extra day to open the windows since it's been rainy and cool) and everything looks perfect. Would recommend. read more

Not a good experience at all. Apparently they don't want or need my business. I made a very specific appointment to have windows stripped and retinted and the plan was to drop off the car on Saturday and they would do the work on Monday. My stipulation was that they would put my car inside over the weekend and they agreed. When we arrived in our two cars (so I'd have a ride home) driving in from Waverly, we found the shop closed and a message on the door stating they were closed due to a lack of internet service (so what?). It would have been nice if they had called me Saturday morning to let me know they were going to be closed. I left a message and never heard back from them. I reached out to them via email the following Monday and no response. I'm taking my business elsewhere. Given many of the other reviews I've read here about shoddy work it is perhaps just as well I didn't have them work on my car. read more

First off I have to let everyone know that I tried to give this company another shot...why you ask...well very long story short,about 6 years or so ago my wife and I went to a fundraiser here in Lincoln for a little boy that was very sick with brain cancer, we bid and won a 300.00 Gift Certificate to Pro-tint to have all of our windows tinted in our car. Several months went by and normal life stuff happened and we had forgot to use the certificate and when I looked at it the certificate had expired 2 days prior to me calling pro tint. When I called pro tint I talked to the same guy I did today John the owner, I explained to him we had been busy and forgot the certificate expiration date had come up. He said well that was my fault and thwre was nothing they could do so he denied my certificate and was very rude telling me it was my fault and i should have used it when we won it however at that time we didn't have a vehicle we wanted to put it on,so I filed a formal complaint against pro tint qith the BBB and after several weeks of pro tint not complying or helping with the conplaint the BBB said to take it in and they would honor it..so we did and pro tint did a very bad job ob the tint job it self and were not nice at all........ Fast forward many years to today June 10,2015...I made an appointment on Monday for today Wednesday at 12:30 to have my windows tinted here because one I wanted to try and give them a second chance and two because we got a new vehicle and the dealership has a deal with pro tint for a discounted price rate when you buy a new vehicle. So i got into our vehicle and headed to Pro-tint,I hit 2 construction zones within a couple of miles and it was 12:31 so I called and the owner John answered I advised him that I was sorry and just running 2 minutes behind and I was 2 blocks away and would be there with a minute or so,he then told me very rudely in his words " Well because you are so late we dont have time and you could drop it off but i wont get to it until tonight later" i said im literally 1 block away now and ypu cant tint the windows,he said no i can't tint them becuase you are almost 10 minutes late,I said sir on my phone it is 12:32 so im 2 minutes late and can be there within 1 or 2 minutes...... He then said you know what you lost your place you will just have to reschedule if you cant drop it off,i advised him it was very hard for me to get a baby sitter and i just was 2 minutes late,he then RUDELY said "if you don't like it go somewhere else i saod maybe i should and HE HUNG UP ON ME!!! So I called back and said I am pulling up to your shop and you still can't tint the windows he said "said no I cant so stop calling and he HUNG UP ON ME AGAIN! So I called back a 3rd time and said sir why are you being so rude to me I was 2 minutes late and he said no you're 7 minutes late and by this time you can see from the screen shot it was 12:34 on my phone...I said well I guess I thought your business had changed I wanted to give you a 2nd chance but its still not good and everyone can see on the BBB website they've had 5 complaints in the last year against them and I realize why again...I told him ypu can't run a business like this that is very poor business etiquette...I also told him I would be writing reviews and filing another complaint with the BBB he said he didn't care its his business he will run it how he wants and then HE HUNG UP for the final time...you can see with the TIME and DATE stamp when I called...so I will NEVER ever send any business to this place or GP Customs here in Lincoln...both companies are ran VERY poorly....Definitely STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND DO YOUR RESEARCH.....Im so frustrated with companies doing things like this and if no one says anything no one would ever know....SO IM SAYING SOMETHING!!!! read more

Were very nice and helpful with my choice of what type of tint I wanted. for it being my first time here. I got 35% ceramic front windshield tinted and with a 11 inch 5% ceramic brow/visor strip. I already have 5% tint on all of my 4 side doors and rear back window from (someone else through GP Customs). It was On my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. All for $240 and keeps most of the heat out, no night time headlight glare from others cars at night. Also keeps the sun out of your eyes a lot. Best choice I made to make my truck darker, look better, and more comfortable. read more

Pro tint not professionals at all the tinters did not prep my doors to keep whatever they sprayed on the windows from dripping on my door panels brand new car did not clean the door panels from the drippings of the soap or whatever they use to set the tenting on the windows and or vacuum up the little pieces of trimming of the tinting that they put on the windows what a shame professionals ha ha read more

They threatened to kill me and my father and pushed me. Do not do business with these people. My dad and I went to discuss the price of the job they did ($60 for a mirror tint). My dad had done business with them in the past and got a total of $40 for two smaller mirrors. The $60 had many bubbles on it. When discussing, the man behind the counter got angry and threatened to kill me and my father. He stepped past the counter and squared up with me and pushed me. This is no way to run a business when you use physical and verbal assault. Horrible service. Worst of them all. Never work with these people. read more

Bubbles bubbles bubbles. So many bubbles. I followed their restrictions to a T and there were still so may flaws and bubbles. When I called to let them know, whoever answered was extremely rude and interrupted me while talking so I just hung up on him because he was so rude in his tone. It's not MY FAULT you did a bad job. I had taken a brand new nissan titan to this shop, not even a day old. When I picked up the truck I could see dirt under the tint, looked really bad. I spoke with the owner and he said he would fix the tint. I again came to pick up the truck and it looked terrible, u could see he didn't remove all the old glue or clean the window. He said he wouldn't give me my money back and also said I was being a perfectionst and that it was my problem! Terrible business! read more

I made an appointment at Pro-tint to have my wife's car windows tinted for her birthday. I called the day of the appointment to let John know that I was running late. John said not to worry he would stay open late if need be to get the job done. I arrived after closing time and John was waiting for me just as he said. John personally tinted the vehicle and invested his own time and efforts to make my wife's birthday perfect, even though I was late for my appointment. It's a huge testimony to Johns character as a professional businessman that he cares about his customers. John took the time to give me detailed information about the warranty, product and services that Pro-tint would provide.
