We had an old deck that had seen better days so an upgrade was needed. We went with Trex composite. Angel, Raul and Joel did a great job. Professional, hard working and listened to our needs. Angel was the foreman and came to the house every day to make sure the project was on track and also rolled up his sleeves when needed. John handled the contract and payment schedule and was very easy to work with as well. They also finished the project within the timeline set in the contract. I plan on hiring them again for our front deck.

In my 60+ years, I have hired more contractors than I care to remember. There were many good ones…read moreand, unfortunately, many terrible ones. In all my dealings with the contractors, I have never had an experience like what I had with YourDeckBuilders.com. Whenever I hire a contractor, I always make an effort to observe the workers to see how they do their job. If I watch any of them long enough, I would always notice something that is not up to par and had to ask them to do it correctly. With Angel(project manager) and his crew, however, I did not have a single incident where I thought they did a subpar job. It was always a pleasure to see how much attention they pay to the details. It was obvious that the crew takes pride in their work. It didn't take long before I felt perfectly comfortable to let them do their work and only check on the progress once in a while. Each time I go check, my spirit is lifted anew by all the fresh signs of quality workmanship. Besides the satisfaction with the workmanship, I much appreciate Angel's emphasis on safety. This is especially important to me because our deck is on a hillside. I was thrilled to see Angel's team putting in more than 50 deep footings(yes, I counted them), each one down to the bedrock supporting the deck. To this old engineer's eyes, it was clearly an overbuilt for safety, and I love every bit of it. I know in my heart that when the big quake hits, my family will be perfectly safe standing on our deck. In all my previous contractor experiences with any sizeable project, there was never a time where I didn't experience at least some stress and anxiety, whether on quality, schedule, cost, etc. During my entire experience with YourDeckBuilder.com, I have experienced nothing but excitement and satisfaction. It was a uniquely strange feeling that I shared with my wife and family repeatedly during the duration of the project because I could never have expected my experience with any contractor to be so pleasant. The guys at YourDeckBuilder.com are, by far, the best contractor I have ever worked with.

From start to finish, Barney was incredibly responsive and offered a very competitive price. What really stood out was the team's attention to detail during the job. Even more impressive: when I noticed a month later that the stain looked a bit inconsistent on a few boards, Barney didn't hesitate. He sent the team back to repaint the areas at no extra cost. It's rare to find that level of integrity and customer service these days. Highly recommend them for any deck work!

I rarely write reviews, but Barney and his team absolutely deserve this one…read more I had a leaking issue with my waterproof deck that was causing leaks into the garage below. After getting several bids, I chose Barney because he was the most knowledgeable, honest, and straightforward contractor I spoke with -- and I'm extremely glad I did. Barney and his crew completely rebuilt the deck the right way: new plywood, proper waterproof layers, clean texture, and a modern gray finish that looks beautiful. They corrected the slope so water drains perfectly and doesn't pool anywhere. The final result looks like a brand-new deck and honestly makes the home feel more updated. They also repaired the water damage in the garage. Instead of patching just the damaged areas and leaving obvious marks, they repainted the entire ceiling so everything blended seamlessly. It now looks like nothing ever happened. Barney communicated well throughout the entire job, showed up on time, and honored everything he promised. The price was very fair for the quality of workmanship, and he even provided a warranty for the project. If you need waterproofing, deck repair, stucco work, or leak restoration, look no further. I would absolutely hire him again. Five stars without hesitation.

Sam's father personally checked each panel for plumb and level, and the team worked long days to finish ahead of schedule without cutting corners. They left the site spotless, even hauling away the old fencing and sweeping the driveway. Beyond the technical excellence, communication was a breeze. Sam texted progress photos, confirmed small details (hinge style, post-top finials) before committing, and honored the original quote to the penny.
