Been taking our shoes here for over 18 years. Unlike others reviews, Choe has always greeted me…read morewith a smile & happy to do her best for us. Today I took one of my new water proof buck work boots I accidentally cut a 3" slice across the toe with a utility knife. I asked if she could seal or repair. She told me yes but it would need glue& stitching to hold the cut together. I really wasn't expecting anything other than an ugly looking repair job. Just picked it up & I was pleasantly surprised. She not only made a nice tight even seal but she even color matched her stitching to my boot. $15 was a very reasonable cost compared to replacing my $110 boots. GREAT JOB CHOE!

We talked over what they could do and I left the purse with them. They did a perfect job. The repair is invisible and I am able to use it again! After that good experience I brought a treasured vintage handbag to them. It is 50 years old. It is petite point on leather and the needlework was separated from the leather. She looked the bag over. She said she could repair it, but suggested I do it myself. She sold me the glue I would need and showed me how to place the glue and clamp the bag. I was nervous, but it worked wonderfully. And, I saved the cost of the repair. I was doubly impressed. First with the repair on my leather purse, then with the honest advice for my vintage purse. I recommend Choe's for leather repair.

I had not seen one for years, but apparently that's because I had not been paying attention. My mother passed away many years ago, and very recently I found a wonderful watch that she used to wear about 20 years before she passed away . Of course, it was not running. It had a very colorful leather strap that matched the face of the watch perfectly , but it had some tearing, and some possible small areas of dry rot on the ends. I took the watch to Saxons's Jewelers in Bel Air , MD. and got the battery replaced and it now works beautifully. The watchband was another story altogether. It was important to me to try to keep the band if it all possible for sentimental reasons, as well as for the color and style of it. It is a muted , multicolored leather strap of good quality . Kelly, at Saxons told me that there was a little shoe repair shop almost right next-door and that I should take the watchband there to see if they could help me save it. As many times as I have driven up and down Baltimore Pike over the years, I had never noticed this shop. It's right on the main street but it's not a shop that has huge signage. When I went in today, I found that there was a pleasant family atmosphere. It was a busy place also, which gave me confidence in the quality of the work they would be doing . I showed them the watch, and they thought about what they might do for me for a moment and then came up with several brilliant ideas so the watchband could be saved. The price was very reasonable, but the best thing about this little shop was the helpfulness and kindness of the people in the shop. They took their time and carefully decided what could best be done after listening to my story about the watch and my mother. I actually got the feeling that they were going to have to work extra hard to make this happen, but that they wanted to repair it because of the strong feelings that I had and the sentimentality of it. It was comfortable and easy there, and I would suggest that anybody who needs work on any favorite shoes they might have, or any leather goods that might need some extra stitching to go there and check out this wonderful little establishment. It was certainly worth my time to pay them a visit and I am so excited about getting the watchband back next week. I am also thankful to have again discovered a little little bit of nostalgia.

They put black heels on brown soles/boots that are much thicker and have a more aggressive tread than the original. It looks completely off. They said they tried to find brown but couldn't. I wish they would have called and told me before doing the repair, I would have just sent them to Red Wing. They also resoled a pair of dress shoes and those were well done.
