Not only is Ryan a really nice guy, he is super communicative and makes sure that everything happens as it's supposed to. I have an extensive garden with many vegetables and flowers and the crew did a marvelous job at protecting my plants and cleaning up. I have multiple crews working on various areas of my property and Ryan was the only one who came on time and did exactly what he said he'd do. I'll keep hiring and recommending them. They stripped the old roof off down to the wood, replaced any wood that needed it. Put up new roofing, facia, gutters and leaf gutter covers. I am happy that I selected FRS. The job is well warrantied and a good value.

I had a half dozen roofers come out for estimates and to take a look around. Rich Melo came out and he gave the most thorough inspection and identified all areas of concern. He also turned around a quote rather quickly and it was not the lowest we had, but it was the second lowest, and his professionalism and competence made us hire him over the lowest quote as we had way ore confidence in him. As I said, he identified small tears in our membrane that the lowest quoted contractor missed. Rich's crew showed up on time the day of the work, cleaned up nicely and did a good job. In fact they did the job close to a year ago. I figured to wait a bit before writing a review to make sure the new roofing repairs held up and at this point we have no concerns so they obviously have done so. My best experience with a roofing company in two decades of being a homeowner in Brookline.

Towards the end of last year, I had several companies come out and quote for a full roof…read morereplacement. Golden Group gave me the best feeling about the job from the initial discussion. Where other contractors canceled appointments, arrived late, or were just no-shows - Mikel (out of their Hudson office) arrived on time and did a thorough assessment of the roof including taking drone footage. He sat with me and walked me through the whole process clearly, explaining all my choices in materials and didn't push any product or add-on. I did receive marginally cheaper quotes, but they did not leave me feeling like my home was in good hands in the same way that Mikel did, and I felt the extra money was likely to be worth it. Once I decided to go ahead with them, again, everything was done very professionally. I was kept informed of times and everybody showed up exactly when they said they would. I made a small change to the scope of the work in replacing additional plywood sections of the roof, and these were easily accommodated on short notice. On the day of the work, the crew showed up on time and Jurgan (the site foreman) kept everything moving with minimal disruption to us. I was working from home, and my wife and kids were in and out of the house for school and errands. Despite replacing the entire roof of the main building and two additions over approximately 9 hours, there was minimal disruption to our days. The house was protected during the work, and even with snow still on the ground, their cleanup crew constantly walked the property picking up and disposing of any debris, nails, old material etc. Ultimately the roof was replaced successfully and looks good. Every step of the job was explained to me, every question answered, and every decision explained. The team was professional, punctual and courteous throughout. A couple of weeks in and we've had snow, rain and strong winds. Everything is still perfect. I can highly recommend Mikel and Jurgan from Golden Group, Hudson.
