Frank was a no show to give me an estimate, no communication that he was running late or unable to make it. He accommodated coming early one morning to give an estimate that seemed fair. Fast forward to when they were scheduled to do the work, 30 minutes past start time no sign of Frank's team and no communication. Contact the office find out that they won't make it today. My experience has been poor communication and unreliableness. Won't be giving them a chance to reschedule and waste anymore of my time. It was a small job so maybe not worth the effort to provide good customer service. Seeing the business's response adding this - I understand things happen and I am not expecting perfection by any means but a little bit of respect for my time and communication would have been nice.

Finally we were at the point where I could cover the studs and insulation and I am glad I didn't leave that in scope for my GC. I looked around a bit and found these guys. I don't have much to add that the other reviews haven't. Frank was communicative throughout the process from quote through execution and final invoicing. His crew got started right after we approved the work and they were onsite every day working to get the work done. He brought over a crew of like 4 or 5 guys who hung the drywall, mudded, sanded, primed and painted the ceiling of the 2 garage bays, enclosed stairwell and 500sqft bonus room with high ceiling, in like 5 days! If my GC would have been scoped to do this it would have been a 2 month process. Frank personally did a walk through with me after. Highly recommend.

The project: our house, which had inoffensive but dreadfully aged wallpaper in almost every room. Barreto and his crew arrived literally as soon as it was safe to walk on our freshly redone floors (shout-out to America Hardwood Floor Service!). The painters were very careful, put down drop-cloths to protect everything, and completely cleaned up every trace that they had ever been there. It was very impressive, considering the fact that they spent six days taking down curtain hardware, stripping many yards of wallpaper, skim-coating the walls, filling old nail holes, sanding, and repainting five rooms plus a hallway, including tons of trim and a set of stairs. They did a FANTASTIC JOB. We are so happy we spent the money on professionals instead of trying to do this ourselves - this was a big job, and it completely transformed our home, all for well under $5K. Best of all, Barreto accepts all kinds of credit cards! This was wonderful for us, since cashflow was tight due to competing home improvement projects -- we were able to put this on a card with a 0% promotion AND a cash-back offer. I highly recommend Barreto and Blessed Painting. We'll definitely be calling them again when we get around to our bathroom and kitchen renovations!

One of the decks required removal of a flight of stairs and both needed to have the railings reinforced. Working with Gabriel to make this happen was a pleasure! He is very personable and responsible -- in other words, his standards are very high as reflected by the outcome of our decks repair project. Not only did his team do a great job repairing our worn decks, but also they cleaned the work spaces thoroughly each day. All in all, we are very pleased and intend to contact Gabriel Iwano whenever we have a construction project in the future.

Keep looking! Do not use!…read more I hired Iwano and Sons for a high-spec paint job on my house. Scraping, power washing, priming, caulking, carpentry and repairs as needed, and 2 coats of California paint. The job was done, but in less than 3 years I had significant pealing and cracking on 3 sides of the house. 3 years is past the 2-year guarantee, but the level of failure experienced in such a short time should have been addressed. I brought it to Gabriel's attention and offered to supply the paint and to address the first story issues myself. I just wanted the parts that required 2nd story work to be done with his labor. He agreed, BUT ONLY IF I PAID. I moved on from this supplier. In addition to this, when originally doing the job, he did not address an area where rotting wood should have been replaced. Neglecting the repair at that time resulted in much more advanced damage and required more rework and with it more cost when it was addressed. When I hired Gabriel, the carpentry was on a time and material basis and would not have cost him profit from the paint job. Doing the work would have resulted in more revenue for him. Do not use this supplier. He does not do the work correctly and if it does fail, he does not stand behind his work.

So when we made a list of projects we wanted to have completed before listing our home for sale we contacted Jayson. He came out and emailed us a quote for the bulk of the projects which included scraping and painting the outside trim and a couple of weathered ends of the house. We made him aware we were on a timeline. Although we thought his estimate was high for the work we were confident he would get the job done quickly and it would be a quality finish. Well...after weeks of promises to be there and times of someone showing up and working for an hour or two along with many texts and calls from me to see when things were going to get done over 5 weeks later the painting was complete! Mind you we have a small single story ranch. Jayson talks the talk...he'll promise you the moon on a platter...but he doesn't deliver!
