Bottom Line Up Front: Novicki Painting Company did an excellent job. And I would and will hire them again for additional work. From the time they arrived to look at the work we wanted, until the time they were able to perform it was minimal. They were extremely thorough, and we got a feeling that they genuinely cared about the job. Communication was excellent Execution was excellent Follow up to make sure we were 100% satisfied was spot on. You often hear horror stories about painting, carpentry, electrical companies - I'm so glad we picked Novicki Painting and avoided any of that. Great job Novicki Painting! We'll be in touch soon! read more

I heard GREAT NEWS about Novicki Painting Business and I have seen a few places his company has painted BEAUTIFUL work

Steve and his team painted our kitchen cabinets and did a great job. When I first reached out to Steve about the job, he came very quickly to look at the kitchen and provided a free, reasonable estimate the same day. We were able to start the project fairly quickly, and once started, his team was done within a few days. While on site, his team was friendly, considerate, and kept the work space tidy. Steve was easy to communicate with before the project started, and during. The cabinets look new after their work was done. I would highly recommend Steve and his team for any painting project. read more

Novicki Painting - After - Painters Near Me

Steve and his crews did very good job on painting my house. The cost was cheaper than the other painters, yet I'm very happy with the results. Furthermore, they finished the job in 3 days while other painters quoted it takes 1-2 weeks. I wish I could give 5-star. The reason I gave 3-star is he stopped communicating with me to provide receipt/invoice. I needed it for tax credit. Initially he said to get in touch with me soon, then I reminded him after 2 weeks, no reply. after 1 month, no reply again. I wish he could be responsible until the end. read more

I am the owner of BURN Fitness Studios and hired Novicki Painting to refurbish and paint our entire South End studio. Being a fellow small business owner, I was incredibly impressed with Steve's professionalism, commitment to customer service, and knowledge about his industry; moreover, his crew's work and attention to detail was by far one of the highest quality painting jobs I have ever experienced. Just as Steve promised, the work was started and completed on time, and the facility was left cleaner than when they first arrived. I have nothing but the highest praises for Steve and Novicki Painting and would never hesitate to recommend them for any job! read more

We've hired Novicki to do multiple projects since 2016. I can't stress enough how hard it is to find a reliable and consistent contractor- but Novicki is it. Steve and his crew are hard working, responsive and always a pleasure to work with. Quality, consistent work and ALWAYS very reasonable. Do yourself a favor and hire Novicki, they'll get the job done, correctly and on time! read more

Steve was immediately responsive and came by quickly to take a look at my condo. He offered some color recommendations as well as a referral to a color specialist at a paint store. Once I chose the colors, he and his team worked through the week and I couldn't be happier with the results. read more

Steve and his crew did an incredible job painting all of the cabinets in our kitchen white to give the kitchen a more updated look and feel. The kitchen looks completely different and the paint job exceeded our expectations (this is coming from someone that does not provide outstanding reviews like this). The crew was nice to work with and cleaned up after they were done. I would recommend Steve to anyone for their next painting project... we are already reaching back out to him for another smaller job that we have planned. read more

Steve and his crew do great work! They are polite, punctual, personable, attentive to detail and clearly take pride in their work. Steve is responsive to calls and texts, committed to starting and finishing the job on time and on schedule, and making sure that the customer is satisfied down to the last detail. We are more than satisfied with their work. We feel like we got a whole new house! read more

Initially, corresponding with Steve was easy. I had a great feeling from him at the quote meeting, so we booked him for about a month out. The week of the agreed-upon date, he let us know that weather caused them to lose a few days, so we'd have to wait a week. No problem. I'm flexible when people communicate well. For the second agreed-upon date, my husband and I took off of work. Three days before, I emailed Steve asking what to expect and what he needed from us. Nothing. Then, they didn't show! I called, my husband called, nothing. We took time off from work to be stood up. A week later, after the Memorial Day holiday weekend, he sent a short text to my husband saying he could have guys there that Thursday. No thank you. We are taking our business elsewhere. I'm disappointed that I listened to the glowing reviews that led me to Steve in the first place; we definitely did not have a good experience. read more

They were fantastic! I initiated a paint job on my new home without fully recognizing my skill, fitness or preparation. After pulling a bunch of muscles, spraying the ceiling and the floors with wall paint, I found Steve on yelp, his team was excellent. The addressed a substantial number of imperfections on the wall, cleaned up the mess I had made and even recommended an excellent electrician for the installation of lighting, They came back and patched up all the holes that were made for the wiring. They were efficient and COVID sensitive. I would happily work with them again read more

Steve and his team have done numerous jobs for us over the years and are absolutely the best! From whole home estate properties in Milton, Cohasset and Chatham to everything else in between. Steve's dedication to customer service is exemplary and he is extremely professional and dedicated to his work. Could not recommend Novicki Painting more! Call Steve, you definitely won't be disappointed. read more

I religiously use Yelp to gauge businesses and relied on it heavily to find a painter for my new (to me!) house. We needed every inch of our 1930's colonial home repainted (and some of it de-wallpapered). We're talking walls, trim, ceilings, closets, doors... everything! Novicki Painting came in with the lowest bid (by far - at least 1K less than the 6 painters I got quotes from). I couldn't be happier with my decision! Steve and his guys came when they said they would, they worked long hours, and they devoted extra time to my project when it took longer than expected (my ceilings took 5 coats of paint to cover up the damage from the previous owner's smoking!). There were lots of little things that came up and Steve kept me updated every step of the way. I've had people in and out of my house for the last two months doing different jobs: plumbers, contractors, carpenters, electricians, etc. Steve's was by far the best team I've worked with overall. He made things that were stressful feel effortless. He was always there when I had questions or needed something else. He came up with ideas on how to make our great house - amazing. I would hire his team 100 times over. There are a few things that need touching up (some because of other people's work - some because half the time I had him painting in the dark because we had no lights!) and Steve has been incredible about staying in touch and staying available to come do the final touches on our paint job. I'll keep you updated on the final pieces of this job - but if it's anything like all the work he's done thus far - it will be perfect! read more

The exterior of my house was drab, gray and boring. Finally, I decided to get it painted, it but dreaded the getting the required three estimates with the missed appointments and the high prices. I was just getting over a bad breakup with contractor and didn't want to start again. Heartened by his reviews, i called Steve Novicki who came by promptly, handed me a quote, and my search ended. It was a tougher job than expected, and Steve never complained or raised the price. He kept me informed, did everything I asked--and more He even painted the railing in front. His team are equally excellent. They were hard working (They showed up on a Saturday), and knowledgable. There was no drama of hidden costs and dashed expectations--Steve made a daunting project easy--and I now love my house. read more

I can't say enough good things about Novicki. We recently had them paint our master bedroom. I came across their Yelp listing and saw all of the positive reviews so I gave them a call. Steve came out and gave me a bid that was much more reasonable than two others I had received. Steve and his guys came out on time, did the work very efficiently and did a great job. We were so happy with the results that we are having them back to paint several other rooms in our house. You won't be disappointed using Novicki. They live up to their Yelp reviews. read more

We hired Steve and his crew based off of the many positive reviews he had on yelp. He quickly scheduled an appraisal appointment the same day I contacted him. He showed up on time and walked through our home and answered the many (MANY) questions we had for him, all with a smile on his face. After getting 2 other similar quotes, we felt like Steve was offering us the most bang for our buck, as he had offered to paint around our fireplace and our front door. His crew came and started right on time, however, after doing 4 rooms - they left tons of paint on our floor, splatters on our shades, and had painted a room the wrong color. They lazily did not remove outlets or light fixtures (as we had been told they would), and didn't paint behind the toilet. After contacting Steve at the end of the day, he ended up sending a different crew to work at our house and fix the many mistakes (at a personal cost to himself). We were so worried after the first day, but Steve remained true to his word and sent two amazing guys who worked very long days to take care of everything. It's rare to find someone in the home improvement industry to actually cares what people will say about them, especially after we spent the rest of the time very carefully examining the work. He has since gotten rid of the first crew he sent, and you should ask him if Gino is available for your project, he was AMAZING. read more

I have had Steve and his crew do 2 separate interior paint jobs for me and they have done an awesome job. Steve is very responsive, works hard and is honest. He also has done everything possible to accommodate my schedule and referred me to several other reliable trade people. read more

Why can't all contractors be like Steve? My life would be so much easier. Punctuality and attention to detail are of primary importance to me, and Steve has those qualities in spades. He is always responsive. When he says he will be there at noon, he's there at noon. When he says his workers will be there tomorrow, they are right on time. And they work hard, all day long, in the blazing sun. It was 100 degrees here on two of the days they worked, and it did not slow them down. His crew worked all day long to get the job done right. And it was hard work. They removed the aluminum siding from our house and demolished a garage. Their stamina was truly incredible. Then they prepped the house, scraped off the old paint, filled the nail holes, replaced rotting wood and painted everything. It looks amazing now. We are so thankful to have found this terrific company, and we plan on hiring them again in the future. A job well done is a beautiful thing. read more

Our 2nd fl sunroom water pipe burst and destroyed the first floor sunroom. We hired Novicki painting Co. unfortunately the owner was going through medical/health issues so he was unable to be on site supervising his workers. Absolutely nothing went well. The experience is too long to list in full. But We think about the shoddy work everyday when we step on a previously solid custom cut threshold that no longer fits where it previously did, when We very carefully close windows and to avoid window sills from coming loose. When we walk on the floor and listen to it creak and especially when we step on a spot where four corners of tiles meet on a hump, kind of like expecting to step on a flat floor but stepping on a rock instead. We also remember the shoddy workmanship when we look at the 3 missing curtain rod brackets which were thrown out, but one is still there. We had to threaten to withhold part of the payment to get the trash removed. It was removed but only after a great deal of recriminations from the owner who said we were heartless making him work after surgery. How could this company get so many great reviews? Can Yelp be bribed? I now go on Angie's List to hire. Lisa in West Roxbury. read more

I used Steve to paint my North End condo twice, 8 years apart. Both times he did an excellent job, was quickest to respond, most competitive and fair in his quote and most importantly his painting work is second to none. Highly recommend using him and I will use him again. read more

Steve of Novicki Painting and his crew are professional, courteous, and have integrity, something hard to come by in this business. We began an indoor and outdoor project, painting my home, in late 2018, and ran into some really poor weather. In the end a few areas got rained on and paint ran, but it was now too cold to paint. There were also a couple of areas that needed touchups indoors. I was in touch with Steve a couple times over the winter, and he even reached out to me to let me know he had not forgotten me and would get a crew back out to finish the job. In the end I had to remind him, but he was totally amenable and communicative about getting the job done. He and his crew finished today, and treated me with respect the entire time. The whole time he honored his price, even with a couple miscommunications and unforeseen materials costs. I'd recommend Steve and Novicki Painting. read more

Steven did an excellent job on painting my master bedroom. He showed up on time in the morning and a couple of hours later he made the room brand new. The ceiling and baseboard lines were cut very nicely. He gave me good advice on the paint to use in the future. I would certainly hire Steven again. read more

This is our third time using Steve and his crew, they are absolutely amazing. Looks like we have a brand new kitchen. Can't recommend them enough! read more

I have had multiple positive experiences with Steve and his team. I hired (and rehired) them for two properties for indoor painting work. Steve has been very professional throughout the process, including showing up for estimates and putting extra crew members to bring in the timeline due to my constraints. His team, led by Wilfred, for my jobs did an exceptional job transforming the look-and-feel of our place. We love it. They left the place in great condition, and were responsive to resolve any punch list items that were identified during our walkthrough. They even went out of their way to touchup areas that were scuffed-up by other contractors that came after the paint job was completed. Since, I have recommended him to friends, and the feedback continues to shine. Excellent workmanship, great value and professionalism! read more

Steve and team were very professional and did a great job painting the entire interior of our house. We had a tight timeline with babies on the way and the team stayed late multiple nights to make sure the job was done on time. We shopped quotes and his was very fair. read more

This review a bit overdue since the job was completed a little over a month ago. However, better late than never! Simply put Steve and his crew did an amazing job! We hired them to paint our whole condo (1,200 sq ft) and they did a phenomenal job at painting, repairing holes on the walls and patching up other areas where the walls had cracked as a result of settling. From the very first time i contacted Steve, he was professional, timely and very honest with his quotes. We had 3 different companies come out to quote and even though Steve was not the lowest, he certainly provided the best customer service and the project far exceeded our expectations. Steve and his crew not only completed the painting but also were incredibly available to help us with other minor projects that came up as we planned our move into our new place. I am incredibly impressed with the attention to detail, cleanliness and meticulous work on the trims! I am particularly picky and these guys delivered amazing work! I highly recommend them and plan to give them a call as we look into the spring to replace our exterior trim. read more

My wife and I hired Steve Novicki to paint the entire interior of our house. It's a small house (not quite 1200 sq ft) but we wanted absolutely everything painted. Steve promptly gave us a quote - including paint - and set up a four-day window to do the work.. When the first day rolled around, his guys were there promptly when they said they would be. When my wife and I got home from work after the first day of painting, we were amazed by how great everything looked. I emailed Steve to let him know that and he responded to thank me - which told me that he's diligent in checking his emails, even at night. The next day went the same way, and that was Friday. The painters took the weekend off, which is understandable but also much more convenient for us, since being home while they're working would be a pain for everyone. Monday came and they continued as usual. Everything still looked great, and Tuesday was going to be the last day of painting. Very early Tuesday morning, Steve emailed and apologized profusely and said his guys had an emergency and couldn't come in that day. He promised that he would send extra guys and they would finish on Wednesday. Stuff happens, and we didn't hold it against him at all - and we had budgeted a couple of extra days, just in case, which is probably a good idea for any multi-day project like this anyway. My wife and I did a walk-through and we identified a few things that we had questions or comments about, and Steve responded and assured me that they would be fixed. At the end of the last day of painting, everything was great and we couldn't have been happier. Steve's team cleaned up very nicely and left us the excess paint. Overall, this was a wonderful experience, and we recommend Steve Novicki very highly. read more

Steve was so great in accommodating our last minute painting needs! We were out of town for the holidays but he answered our texts promptly even on Christmas. Everything was great. Thanks Steve and team! read more

I would like to say I was able to review Novicki's painting services and expertise but unfortunately, I wasn't able to reach that point in the process. It seems they only place significant value on SOME clients. After two no call/no show appraisal appointments (that I rearranged my work schedule for) and no call to apologize or reschedule...I think this business is kind of a joke. I mean, truthfully, a business that prides itself so highly on word of mouth needs to remember where their business comes from! So Novicki? No thank you. Back to Angie's List to spend my money elsewhere. read more

Let me start by saying that i'm rating my total experience, not just the actual job. The first appointment I made with Steve he text me about an hour before to let me know he wouldn't be able to come by due to mechanical issues with his truck. So I rescheduled and he was a no show for the second appointment. Then he text me the following day to ask if I still wanted my house and walkway power washed. No mention of why he was a no show the prior day though. That's not professional at all. What if I would have taken the day/days off from work to accommodate? The job he did was actually pretty good. But due to the lack of communication i'll probably go elsewhere next time. read more

We were in a bind when we started looking for painters. We decided to list our condo last minute and had neglected our front entryway for about 4 years. We needed the entire front porch, walls, ceiling, dormers, wood detail, etc. cleaned, sanded, and repainted. And we needed it done in just a couple days! Not only did Steve and his team do a great job, but they were able to rearrange their schedule to make it happen in our timeframe. Steve watched the weather hourly to make sure we weren't delayed and recommended changing our schedule to make sure we weren't rained out. He was right. If we waited, the job wouldn't have gotten done. They did great work and the price they quoted us was $600-$1000 less than other quotes we got. But we didn't sacrifice quality. The work looked great. When our mailman walked on the freshly painted steps and it needed a touch up, he didn't complain or make a fuss. He just offered to redo it with no problem. read more

We hired Steve to do some interior and exterior (stoop) painting. After his team completed the work, we asked that he redo parts of our bathroom because the areas around our sink looked sloppy and the job seemed rushed. They had matched the paint for our stoop, which was great, but never told us what the color was so that we could do some touch up that was required. I asked several times for the paint color and he never responded. I definitely would not hire him again - for $2800 I was disappointed in the results. read more

I recently moved into a new condo, which had been a rental property for a number of years. I cut it really close and gave myself 2 weeks for 4 projects.
