We moved to town about a year ago and we hired Paul and his team to paint our interiors right before we moved in. We recently had them come back to paint the exterior of our house, and we couldn't be happier. His quotes are reasonable, the work quality is great, and they're so nice. Go with Carty if you can! Some before/after photos of the exterior. Starting to really feel like home, thanks to Carty Painting :) read more

I hired Carty Painting to paint the old vinyl siding and stain cedar shingles on my home. Paul was very responsive, came right out and discussed the project and we agreed to a reasonable price. His painters were out very quickly and got straight to work. They were very professional, courteous and respectful of my property. The end result was more than what I expected. My house looks brand new! I will be getting them back to assist with other projects for sure! I highly recommend them. read more

If only I could rate Carty Painting ten stars! Paul and his crew are complete professionals, true gentlemen, and great conversationalists too! Paul sent an estimate just a couple hours after coming over, they started just a few days later, and they painted everyday it wasn't raining. I'm a perfectionist, and I couldn't have asked for a better job painting. Prices were reasonable too. I can't recommend them enough! read more

Carty Painting - Beautiful job painting our fence and house trim! - Painters Near Me - Hingham, Massachusetts

I emailed Paul for an estimate on painting my house trim and refinishing my deck, and within less than a week it was done. . .and beautifully! Couldn't ask for a nicer or more accommodating crew. They even put my deck furniture up when it was dry. Without additional cost, they did some wood repairs. The work is so well done as to exceed even my high expectations. If yelp had an option for additional stars for "exceptional", Paul and the crew would have earned them. Fair price, great crew, fantastic result. I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

Carty Painting - Carty painting did an amazing job! - Painters Near Me - Hingham, Massachusetts

This company was hired by my next-door neighbor this summer to paint the exterior of his house. We share a common access space, so they needed to come into my yard to do the adjacent side. They were extremely sloppy, dripped paint over my shrubbery. stomped on all my lilies, and broke off one of the neighbors drainpipes and just threw it into are bush to hide it. Did not repair, so all rain just gushes into my garden now. They set their ladders up over my stone retaining wall and knocked the wall down. Never came to us to apologize or even mention they had done it. It was a low mortarless stonewall built by a Vermonter in the tradition way and now it is just a pile of rocks. They even left the rocks strewn in the middle of the walkway. We were ready for landscaper to fill area behind wall with top soil and ground cover but had to delay. As has been mentioned by another reviewer, they also did a very poor painting job on my neighbors' house. They did not do any prep work (Washing, priming) and painted right over rotten corner boards. Only when he called them back, did they attempt to fix that. The crew was not only sloppy but lazy (Spent most time when the boss wasn't here on their cellphones using very foul language. Only when they noticed I was on my porch did they stop dropping "F-bombs" every few minutes. DO NOT HIRE THES PEOPLE. If there was a lower rating than 1 Star, I would give them that. read more

I was visiting my elderly mother in Plymouth while this company was painting the exterior of the house. I was there for the duration of the job. I am a landlord with 16 properties down in Florida so I know quality work. This team was first rate. They showed up when they said they were going to show up, they worked until the job was finished, and they did a great job. They even did minor carpentry repairs and that was unexpected. They were polite and professional. I wish this team did work in Florida because I would use them all the time. First rate! read more

Had Carty Painting paint 5 rooms - which included removing wallpaper, filling holes, etc. Super responsive from the time I reached out via Yelp for a quote to the scheduling. Everyone was super neat, thorough and a joy to work with. Final product was a night and day transformation. Took some tired looking rooms and gave them an amazing refresh. Thank you!!!! read more

I was fooled by the positive reviews online and selected Carty Painting. One star is too positive of a rating to give this company. The crew cut corners every step of the way and did not complete the project. Please review the pictures before you do business with this company. They did not wash the exterior of my house before painting nor did they prime. The pictures speak for themselves. This is what my house looks like after 3 weeks since Carty painted. Be warned and find another painter. Paul told me that prep was the most important part of painting a house. I went with the most expensive quote because of all of the prep that he said he was going to do. He did not even wash the sides of my house. His quote included scraping and priming which were not done. They even used cheaper wood trim instead of the PVC he quoted. When I called him out on it, he blew up and accused me of not paying even though he refused to take a deposit. I didn't mind the crew smoking, however they did not have the decency to pick up and left cigarette butts everywhere. They left a dozen nails in my driveway and didn't bother to clean up. However, the real icing on the cake is that they didn't put drop clothes on my composite deck. The decking is ruined. They then had the gall to blame the stains on the deck itself and not the fact that they tried to remove the stains with goof-off which contains butane and xylene. When I asked Paul for a plan to correct these issues, he blew up and accused me of not wanting to pay him and then stormed off the job. read more

Paul and his team painted the interior of our house and are now our go-to painters. They were able to work within our tight timeline, were personable and professional, and made the entire process very easy. The quote was reasonable, and my walls are gleaming! read more

Ryan did an excellent job painting the exterior of my house. The painting was top notch, no drip marks, edges were clean, and the prep was thorough with sanding. On top of that he always checked to make sure his vehicle was out of the way, and asked about turning on the radio while he was painting. At one point my wife saw a drop of paint on a piece of glass and before she could start trying to wipe it away he swooped down and said "That's not how we do things, I"m so sorry" and cleaned it up right away. read more

We had Carty Painters come in and in around 12 hours they painted nearly the whole house. They gave us great advice on colors in several areas, and made sure to whiten up all our trim and doors. The house looks nearly brand new with the fresh coats throughout. The price was very reasonable and the workers helped tackle a few things outside of their scope. All the workers were very nice and you could tell they took pride in making sure they did a good job. We would definitely recommend using them and we will consider them for future jobs as well. read more

A+. Got 3 proposals for the exterior painting of my home and chose Carty Painting ~ they were wonderful. Scheduled quickly, fairly priced, efficient, professional and nice crew, careful and meticulous work, they came every day, all day, and got it done fast. Left everything neat and clean at the end of every day. Had good advice on colors. The owner is so nice; he stopped in every day to check on progress and crew, texted me every couple of days to make sure I was happy. If I asked for small additional things they were done quickly and pleasantly, no extra charge or fuss. This is a top notch company, does beautiful work, really cares about customer service and quality work. Highly recommend. My house looks beautiful. read more

This summer is the second time I have used Carty Painting and, again, they did not disappoint. Last year they painted the exterior of my house. Every day they were on time and had a large enough crew to get the job done faster than I expected. Paul helped to make sure the colors were spot on and I love the how house looks. They took so much care on my exterior wood window sashes that they look like new. My shutters were in such rough condition I thought I needed new ones, but their team made those look like new, too. This year, I had them paint my renovated bathroom, and a long hallway of doors, window sills and trim that had been nicked and worn over the past 70 years. They filled in all the nicks and the results are stunning. I enjoy the crew so much; they treat me with respect and consideration. Great team. I even had a cabinet in a box in the garage I couldn't lift: I asked if they could bring it inside for me. They not only did that; they unpacked and set it up for me without me even asking! read more

We moved into a new home and it desperately needed to be painted before our furniture was moved in at the end of the week. Paul rearranged his schedule to come do an assessment of the space and then started a couple days later to get the work done in time. They went above and beyond even repairing some paint issues on the ceiling. The quality of work was amazing, and the pricing was very reasonable! read more

I worked with Paul to get a quote and organize the project. The project included a majority of the wall space in my place, by Paul gave me a great quote and scheduled the project I'm a very timely manner. Paul even helped me with picking out colors. He explained the project entirely and insisted I don't pay anything until the project is done, and done to my liking. After about a week, I had beautifully painted walls. The painter was so quick and accurate! I couldn't have had an easier experience with Carty. I highly recommend them! read more

Just had Carty Painting repair and paint the exterior trim on our home and couldn't be more pleased. The work was professional and well done. Paul and his exceptional crew have painted two homes for me... both interior and exterior. He always does his absolute best to accommodate timing for me. His quote is his price... there have never been any surprises. In addition, he and his crew (all of whom have 10 or more years of experience as painters) not only responded well to special requests, but also made recommendations so that things would look better or last longer. They all arrive on time and leave only when they have cleaned and straightened. I HIGHLY recommend Carty Painting. read more

We needed the exterior clapboards which are only on one side of my 2 story garrison colonial cleaned, scraped and painted along with the family room extension. I selected and supplied the paint which Carty Painting approved and they came in with a very reasonable quote to do the job according to my needs. Painter showed up when promised and everything from prep work to final coat to clean up was just as agreed. Very nice to deal with both Paul and his painter, Dan. I will not hesitate to contact Carty Painting again when I have additional painting to do. First class job all the way! Thanks! Bob and Kathy in Marshfield, MA. read more

My husband and I just moved into our new home in Norwell and wanted some fresh paint. We have two large rooms with cathedral ceilings that had dark wood we wanted to lighten up. We reached out to multiple painters and got a few estimates but weren't totally sold on moving forward ...until...Paul Carty, my Irish friend showed up. I submitted a request for proposal online and received an e-mail shortly after requesting good dates and times for Paul to come by. Paul showed up when he said and I knew the minute he walked in my door I would use him. He was so warm, friendly, informative and made great suggestions. We discussed potential dates for the job to get started and Paul had his crew there sooner than expected. His communication was great and his crew was there when he said they would be. All the guys that worked on our job were so great and super respectful. There is no doubt Paul runs a tight ship and chooses his team wisely. Paul also showed up frequently to check-in and to make sure we were happy with everything. I would highly recommend Paul and his crew to anyone. We were so happy with how things turned out we already have plans to have them back. read more

From the first meeting, I knew Paul was going to be the right man for the job! My house sustained some wind damage at the front and the recent paint was stripped off. Paul gave me a fair quote that I could pass on to the insurance company. Since the rest of the house was due to be painted anyway, i arranged to have it all done. The shingles were repaired, stripped, primed and painted in a couple of days! Very efficient and professional, and so easy to work with. Thanks for giving me back my beautiful house! read more
