They gave me a good bid for fiber cement board siding. I will admit some problems were due to my communication errors; and another challenge was I was not in the state when the project was going on unfortunately. So I appreciate their efforts to accommodate me when I requested pictures of the project progress. one error I made was a wrong paint color and I appreciate that they did not charge me extra for correcting my error. There were however, problems with returning my exterior fixtures back to the locations that they were before the project began (flag mount hose mounts, solar lights, circuit breaker box ground wire covers) I think my feedback for them for their future work, would be to take video or pictures pre and post and compare to make sure everything is cleaned up and returned as expected (so The customer doesn't have to bring it up to them).

It was a traumatic experience. There was no direction from the foreman/manager. My requests were not fulfilled. I explained about the areas that I wanted not to be done, as I had planned to later put stained wood siding on those areas and come home to find them Hardi Planked. They stepped on and broke my bushes which are permanently damaged. They broke my kitchen garden window and said it "it looked like it was broken on the inside" inferring that I had broken it. They had garbage thrown all over my yard the entire time and my front covered porch looked like a homeless camp with food left there and thrown on the door leaving grease stains . They also left a microwave there for months to heat their food. Not an experience I would want to relive. Ugh.

CR Master Roofing redid our roof and we were very happy overall. We took several bids, CR wasn't…read morethe least expensive nor the highest either. Their bid included everything that the highest bid offered, but at about $2500 less. The high bidder did the house next door so we knew who they were. Still we negotiated a slightly lower price with CR and made it more acceptable for us. They did a great job, were quick and cleaned up pretty well. As a contractor myself, I can be critical but the crew did a good job and now several months later, we are still happy we hired CR Master Roofing and have no problem recommending them.

Very disappointed. It took a month to get an estimate. They…read morewere blaming issues with their email for that. Meanwhile I had some renovation inside of the house done that also included installing some vents, etc. When I called back asking for an appointment I was given an estimated day they can have job done (about 3 weeks from the day of that call). I also asked for an updated estimate since house renovation could affect the number of issues that should be fixed and $$ amount and was told that they would come back to me with the date of the new estimate date. Next day they called me and told me that they could not have my job done before a month after the day they gave me a day before (so it will be two months from that day). When I asked about an estimate, it sounded like they heard about that first time. They scheduled me for almost 2 months from the day of the conversation and promised to get back on an updated estimate date again. A few days later they left me a voice mail that they would like withdraw their proposal and ask me to find another company. During my multiple conversations I was told that they cared more about roof replacement=big job=$$$ than about fixing things like in my case. If you need a roof replacement, maybe you will get a better treatment.

BEWARE of This Contractor!…read more BEWARE - Before you even think about signing with Tekas Fire & Hood Installations LLC or Miguel Ortega Lopez, do yourself a favor: look up his contractor license history on the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) "Contractor Lookup" tool. You'll see the trail - multiple complaints, lawsuits, and actions that speak for themselves. In my case, I paid him over $22,500 as the first installment for a commercial hood installation. After the permits were approved and everything was ready for him to start, he completely disappeared - no work done, no communication, ignored calls, ignored texts. After talking to other local contractors and the business owners who previously contracted with him, I learned this is not an isolated case. Several people in our area have been burned in the same way - he takes the money, vanishes, and leaves you stranded. If you value your money, your time, and your sanity, stay away. This is not just a bad contractor - this is a serious risk to your project and your business. Do your research before it's too late.

A few days after receiving the bid, I asked Tekas to remove the hopelessly old grease-dripping hood and 40 feet of horizontal ducting. 15 foot ceiling. My nightmare solved painlessly by a high-quality 2 person crew. Sincere, competent and pleasant. Highly impressed!

Booking was easy - send an email detailing the work requested and they send a bid (granted, they've done work for us before so that speeds things up.) This week's projects incl. power washing our deck & driveway, a total low-pressure clean up of our composite roof, rinsing the gutters and cleaning the windows and skylights on both stories. Everything looks great! Rodrigo showed up (appropriately masked) promptly on both days, was friendly & thorough, worked safely and with care for our landscaping and did a great clean-up (shovels full of moss from the driveway power washing!) after the work was done. Home maintenance projects are definitely one of those things where you get what you pay for. Go with a cheap fly-by-night operation and you'll get what you pay for. Or go with a quality shop like Home Team and get the job done right.

They did really good work and offered us a competitive price. When the roofing shingles we ordered…read morewere not available from their supplier, they upgraded without charging us. These are strong positives. I expect that the extra grade of shingle was comped in order to stay on schedule and keep their crew busy in the off season. Also we got a seasonal discount after I noticed it advertised on ThumbTack and asked. The greatest difficulty was getting the warranty registered. I had to try and contract the rep many times and finally contacted the manufacturer of the shingle to get it registered. We had another issue where they were installing a new skylight and didn't warn us about debris that would fall down into the bathroom below. Also, they worked until after dark and we had to follow up to get some small tasks completed as asked. All in all a positive experience and worth considering for the quality work at a competitive price, but you'll need to stay on the crew to make sure the job is completed properly.

My first call was picked up by their admin, who asked details about what work I wanted to get done. She said to look out for their e-mail, which I received soon after. In the e-mail, I was informed of the standard charges for general handyman work ($185), per hour rates thereafter, cancellation fees etc. I was informed that they will be able to help me with the projects, and they might be able to fit me in as early as the following week. I needed to provide photos and notes so they could better judge project scope, the service location, credit card details, and complete billing information. I responded after three days with details and photos of the work needed, service and billing address and my credit card. Since then, I've been ghosted. Over a period of one week after I responded to their e-mail, none of my calls to them were answered, and no response to my follow-up e-mails or the voicemail I left them. I finally contacted a few other handymen in the area and one of them got the job done professionally.
