I needed help deciding between a few Ben Moore color choices, one of which they specifically recommended themselves, which made it easier. They were both friendly and seemed to take the task with patience, which I appreciated. I didn't want to put too much work into it, because the room set up is pretty established and I just wanted a refresh, but obviously still wanted everything to look good! I'm glad I found these guys because that's exactly what I got. The process was really easy from start to finish - I filled out an online contact form on their site and got a call to get the ball rolling the next day. An estimator came to give me quote and went through the process - what color I should buy/was recommended and how much I should buy based on how many layers he thought I'd need. Since it was just two rooms, they said it could all be done in a day! We scheduled the painting for a few days later based on my schedule. They did a great job of not getting paint on ANYTHING and I didn't pay until everything was totally done. I paid via credit card but understood that they accept payment with Venmo and PayPall too which is awesome. Overall would highly recommend - painless process and great results!

He replied to our initial inquiry for an estimate within a few hours, and scheduled a walk through the next day. When he walked into our apartment, he immediately started sharing his thoughts on the approach he would take. No detail was left undiscussed and it was a very thoughtful assessment with an honest and competitive estimate. He was clearly passionate about the project and he made us feel very comfortable from the beginning to the end of the process, which was a little over a week including the estimate and scheduling three days for prep work, painting and clean up. We met him on the final day of the project and he walked us through our apartment pointing out all the details, it looked great. I have had Dave, the owner of Perfect Painting, paint the exterior of my house on two occasions…read more(the fact I brought him back for a second paint job says a ton). I believe he did a professional, quality job both times at a fair price. The first paint job looked good for years and lasted well over 10 years (all you can reasonably expect). With the first painting, we had just completed an addition, so the job required painting both a new, fresh surface, as well as an 80 year old structure. Both times the crew prepared the house well. They sanded huge sections of the house, removing all the chipping as well as other faults of the old paint job. They were neat and environmentally conscience, using vacums with hoses attached to the sanders, working behind plastic sheeting and on top of drop clothes to contain the paint chips. The paint job itself was very professional. Dave also stands behind his work. I had some minor chipping that I thought was premature a few years after the second paint job. I called Dave and explained the problem. He came by and looked at the house. He stood behind his work and offered to touch up the area, simply asking that I be flexible with the timing (totally reasonable in my opinion - I offered he simply do it when he had a window of time). When the time came to do the touch up, he took a chip of paint off the house, went to the paint store to match the paint chip (we had the original color code/name, but Dave was cognizant of the fact that paint fades as it ages and is exposed to the elements - so the job required a slightly different tone to the color which the sample afforded him the opportunity to custom mix a paint to match the faded color) and then sent his crew over to prep and apply a fresh paint job to the area. The touched up area blended in very nicely with the existing paint job, so one could not tell the difference by color. This review comes from a guy that painted for a business in high school and college, after having been taught by my Dad how to do it right. I had many repeat customers due to the quality of my work. I also have run my own businesses over the years. Therefore, I think I have a fairly good idea of what to expect from both a business owner and a professional painter: I am happy to say that Dave delivered professionalism on both counts.

I would highly recommend Soho Painters! Will, Dimitri, and the team did a fantastic job and went…read moreabove and beyond our expectations. For our project, we did a combination of three colors of limewash and standard paint across a two floor, two bedroom apartment in Manhattan. This was definitely a challenging job with a fully furnished apartment, us not being able to make our minds up regarding the colors, extra drywall work, and dealing with your classic New York issues (our electrician did not due a good job with a splice box that Will and his team ended up having to fix in order to properly paint. We also had an issue with a pocket door that Soho Painters had to fix, although it was outside of their area of expertise). They took great care of our furniture and really took the time to prep the apartment for the job. From a pure administrative perspective, Soho Painters were very accommodating, communicative, reasonable, and helpful. They would work with us to get more paint or repaint certain areas depending on our color changes. They were always on time each day and would also work around our schedules. Regarding the actual craft, Limewash paint is challenging and requires a specific technique. You can tell this is a passion of theirs as they truly care about the work they are doing. For example, regarding our bedroom, they decided to have just one of the two painters do the entire room to make sure it was all done under the same brush stoke and that it flowed nicely. While this likely extended the timeline of the project a little bit, you can see the benefits making it truly worth it. We are very happy with the results and cannot thank Soho Painters enough. They are truly willing to work with you and really care about the project, and are not just looking to move onto the next one. Take a look for yourself!
