If I could rate this MINUS 100 I would! From the time I got my feet into the basin until I went under the heat lamp to dry it was literally a 18 minute pedicure. I had to go to the mall so I thought I might try this place out for a pedicure. I should've kept going. I have to say this is in the top three WORST salons I have ever been in and I have had many many services. "Ann" barely made an effort and just went through the motions. I don't even want waste more of my time going into more detail about this place, but the board of health should go there. I don't know how they're not closed down. If your planning to go to the nail salon in the ocean county mall, I advice you to not do that. I just got done getting my nails off, first off , it was 20 dollars. Second, when they put my nails in acetone, my hands were burning and so were my nails. When they were using there tool, it was burning my real nails and I said ouch and the girl kept doing it and laughed at me and talked in there language. If there was an option for no stars that's what I would put. It was dirty and the people were extremely unfriendly. I had LCN on and asked for them to be removed. They proceeded to use another fake nail to go inbetween my nail to completely tear off my nail which was very painful. I would not recommend at all. read more

I normally never give reviews, but if I could give this place 0 stars I would. I came in here because it was close to where I was and a last minute decision. I am definitely regretting it. First of all I told the woman I didn't want my nails that short even though one of my nails were broken and she cut them to the tip of my fingers. She then cut my left hand not as short as the right so they didn't match up. I mentioned to her how much longer the left hand was, and she laughed and didn't fix it. Next as she was cutting my cuticles I felt her cut me, and saw it was bleeding. She said nothing. I said I was done and didn't want to paint them. They still charged me $20. When I showed the owner how I was bleeding she responded with have a nice day. I've never been more upset leaving a nail salon in my life and plan to make sure everyone I know never has to experience this terrible place. read more

I came here late August on Thursday for a pedicure and full set of acrylics for my wedding that Monday, the pedicure took 10 minutes and all he did was soak and paint the polish on nothing else! The acrylics took over an hour and he took his time but still two were crooked and they just felt very loose. 3 days later in my flight to my wedding destinafiok two nails just fell off! I didn't play with them or was rough I was just snacking on potato chips! A few days go by not even a full week and I lost 4 nails and then one of my actual nails shattered underneath the acrylic. I went back to have them taken off and a woman was so gentle and nice when she took the acrylics off for me I was so scared since that nail was killing me. But $80 for a bad pedicure and full set that don't last! Not worth it. read more

It really depends who you go to here. I was recommended by a friend. She referred the owner Tammy to me but instead I was delayed to her husband who ever since have been doing my nails. Directions just have to be clear and he understands how your nail should look with your hand. I hate having fat flared nails with my naturally chubby fingers. He really does have a magic touch. Only downside is when they are busy, but I would still wait for this guy since he understands what I want for acrylic fills. read more

I don't care what anyone says, I like the way they do manicures. I made the mistake of tying a different place last time and I regretted it immediately. My nails were uneven and sloppy. I went in here for a gel fill today and Tammy brought my nails back to life. She is able to do whatever I ask for and my manicures always come out great. She also does a great job with eyebrow waxing, the only person I will let do mine. Yes, they are occasionally crowded but if you know the right time to go, you're good. I brought my 6 year old daughter to get a manicure and the staff was so rude and unpleasant to her she was almost in tears they made her feel so uncomfortable. I have gotten my nails done here many times through the years with no complaints. I broke 3 nails in 1 night so the next day I promised the mall to my toddler so i figured I'd kill 2 birds with 1 stone. I went in and they said they needed 20 minutes, I said no prob I will be back in 20! I came back and waited another 20 minutes, no big deal I was a walk in so I was happy they were fitting me in. When my time comes , she comes to me and says go back to were you got them done last I can't match the color, I said I don't care if its not exact I just want to get them done. She kept insisting I go back because she was going to charge me 20 bucks to fix the 3 nails, and I couldn't hold back myself at this point, I said " I've waited here 45 minutes, I expect you to charge me can we just get this done! " she was rude and manhandled my fingers on purpose and rushed through it. My 3 nails look like horrible. read more

If you want a quick and rushed job you should come here. Not only do they rush their work by they are rude. I've lived in Toms River for over 15 years and have never taken this place serious. But because it's like the only place open on sundays (go figure) and I was desperate I gave them a chance. Never again! I was heavily persuaded to get a style that the nail tech wanted and after telling her that I didn't want that she persisted and said that my nails looked good (they didn't). My mistake was not wearing my eyeglasses, they barely trimmed my toe nails. I'm guessing so I'll need to come back sooner. My gel manicure was ok until I looked closely at my cuticles they were also barely trimmed and you can see right thru my polish. Gel mani/ pedi in less than one hour. I stepped in to get my nails done, and had to step out for a moment to attend to something urgent before they started on my nails. I literally did not leave the building, was only gone for a few moments, and promised I would return. Not a single star, which honestly is sad because I just recently switched to this shop because of location, and so far my nails have come out beautifully here; and I like a good, modern and sassy nail job. The gentlemen who works at this location does an incredible job, every time. He is a great artist AND nail tech. His professionalism is unmatched, so I hate to leave this review; however, no returning paying customer should be treated the way I just was, EVER. I arrived late this evening, with covid hours being different, he said they only had time to do a polish change on my toes and a full set- which I understood, so I sit for my polish change and another tech removed my polish- I pick colors. The female manager then comes over to my chair, tells me they don't have time to do what I want done- after just saying they could, so she asks what I want to do- well I'm not paying for half ass nail job or not what I want now, and then coming back this week to get what I actually want, right? So I say that's fine let's just put the white back on my toes then and I'll come back when we can do it right... I think things are fine. She continues to talk to her employees in a language I don't know appearing irritated, but I ignore it. Maybe she has had a long day, been there! So I go to dry from the paint they only put back on because they took it off and then told me they couldn't do anything I would be okay with because of time- you know they asked me to pay for the polish change? I, of course, was not paying for a job they only did because of their own poor communication in which wasted a half hour of my time for nothing that I was already paying a sitter for them to misuse. So I said, I'm sorry but I'm not paying for a polish change I didn't even get. She said we put the white on, and I said yes- ONLY because you TOLD ME you could do the job, started, and then changed your mind so I asked to not leave with bare toes and AT LEAST leave like I had come in. She immediately starting throwing her hands around, yelling about how they were done for the day, done with me, and told me to leave and never come back. She said we have stayed late working on you before and I said again, that is not my problem. You determine when you accept your last client and your hours, I do not. This is unacceptable. I don't care how bad the day, completely unacceptable to treat a customer like this, in any situation. Needless to say I wouldn't have been going back anyway, but I may have spared her the review if she had any professionalism at all. I mean it was truly Embarrassing for her. read more

I stopped coming here. Staff simply do not care. I got my eyebrows done here and they took far too much off in the center.. Now my one eyebrow starts an inch in. I never left here happy with how they did my nails either- it was always a mess. First of all, I caught them mixing acetone with the nail polish to make it last longer. When I called them out on it, they said they added water that was in the bottle labeled acetone (really??) because the polish was too thick. It's very dark in there. They cut corners and don't properly clean or sterilize anything. The nail art is the equivalent of what a 5 year old could do. It's a long wait for a very poor service. read more

This place was ok for simple stuff- not good just ok. If you want anything more than a simple color or French go elsewhere but was convenient. I just had my nails done there less than an hour ago. It was a simple French with gel on top. The girl did a super sloppy job to the point my husband picked up on it. And like most men he's usually clueless about that stuff. There were globs of gel on my nails all bubbled up but she insisted they were fine I just "keep my nails too short" In less than an hour FOUR of my nails have chipped! The bubbled up areas are getting stuck on things and popping off. It's so bad I'm going to have to go some place else and get them redone. They're clearly using cheap gel and I won't ever go back there again. read more

Terrible. Complete LOSERS!?! I had one guy I'd go to there who was okay at doing my nails, but 2 days ago, they were so busy, I had to have another woman do my nails. I was there for a gel fill. My nails came out lumpy, unevenly painted. When I asked her if I'd still be able to see thru the polish when they were done, she said oh no, when the clear coat goes on, they'll be fine. They were not. I had an appt to go to, so I decided to leave and just call to talk the the manager. The woman who had done my nails picked up, and when I asked for the manager, she said she was. So, I told her I was really dissatisfied. She started screaming at me on the phone that I chose the design, and it isn't her fault I don't like it. I told her the design was not the problem. It was how sloppily she had painted my nails. She kept screaming at me about the design. Then hung up on me. I called back, and a man picked up, and started screaming at me, telling me we don't need customers like you. I said what did he mean "like me." He said people who complain. I said I had never complained in the past. Ever. But, she did a sloppy job, so just refund my money and you won't have me as a customer anymore. Or just simply redo them, and all will be fine. Then I told him, I never had a problem with the other guy that I go to, he asked if I wanted to talk to that guy, I said okay. I spoke with the guy who usually does my nails. He didn't yell at me. He said come back in and he'd redo them. I came back the next day, and the woman who did them immediately started screaming at me in front of all the customers and threw a $20 bill at me, for me to go somewhere else for a new design. Once again, I told her the design wasn't the issue. And the real "manager" started screaming at me, too. They kept telling me to leave and never come back. I said refund my entire $45, and I will leave. They fought and screamed back and forth with me, and finally agreed to refund my money, with a promise from me not to return. I said fine. But, the woman continued to scream at me. I told her to stop disrespecting me, or we'd have problems. Finally, the "manager" refunded my money, but then shoves a paper at me, saying I had to sign it, saying I wouldn't come back. By this time mall security had arrived. I told him I would not be signing ANYTHING but my refund slip, and he kept screaming and trying to force me to sign this paper. The security officer explained to him that I was at no obligation to sign it, and ushered me to the mall office to make a complaint. DO NOT GO HERE!?! They will show you NO respect, unless you don't care how you're nails come out. read more
