Every person I have interacted with has been so friendly, kind, and patient. The nail techs take their time to be clean, thorough, and complete their work with care. I've had regular and dip manicures, but generally stick with gel. They do other things- detailed designs, acrylics, etc, but I'm not fancy enough for that, lol. My first visit was amazing, and I was extremely happy with how the gentleman did my nails. He was phenomenal he took his time, paid attention to detail, and really executed the service beautifully. That experience is actually what made me want to come back. My appointment today was at 3:35 PM. I was seated around 3:40 PM, and by 3:50 PM -- literally 10 minutes later -- my pedicure was finished. My gel polish was removed, my toenails were painted white with another gel color, and that was basically it. I understand that a gel polish change can be quicker than a full pedicure, but 10 minutes felt incredibly rushed. There was very little attention to detail she didn't file them down or shape them, and while my toenails look okay, are they perfect? Absolutely not. You can tell this was a rushed job, and my biggest concern is honestly how long the polish is going to last. The checkout experience also left me uncomfortable. After I paid my total, the woman checking me out immediately gave me her Venmo information. I had to ask her twice, "What are you saying?" before I understood that she was asking me to Venmo a tip. It felt like the tip was being assumed rather than simply presented as an option. I still left a $5 tip because, personally, even when I'm unhappy with a service, I don't believe in not tipping at all. But the interaction itself was uncomfortable. I want to be fair because I will give Bella Vista one more try. However, next time, I will specifically make sure that the gentleman who did my nails during my first visit takes care of me. He was amazing. He took his time, he was meticulous, and he executed the service beautifully. That is the level of service that made me want to return in the first place. I really hope management understands that quality and consistency matter, especially when a customer is returning because they had such a positive first experience. I'm willing to give the salon another chance, but I definitely hope my next visit feels more like my first one.

I have opened wounds and burns on my fingers from nail filing, and then the nail tech was using a cuticle cutter that was dirty and not sterilized to then cut and create open skin wounds. None of the tools were sterilized, including the brush that they use to brush your toes at the pedicure I also received. The only single used thing that was used was when my nail tech broke the yellow block that they scrub your feet with. I was actually in so much pain that I had to get up stop her from what she was doing, pay her and walk out. I did pay for my service and tipped her out of respect, but unfortunately, this was the worst experience I've ever had. I do not recommend this establishment to anyone, not only because of the open wounds and burns I have but because they used dirty tools to do it. Not one tool came out of a sterile package for myself or any other person I saw in the salon. I hope they invest in a machine (autoclave) to sterilize and keep their customers safe. Unfortunately with dirty tools comes bacterial and/or fungal infections which every single patient is at risk for at this Star nail salon and spa. Tread lightly and good luck to you if you go. That was and is completely fine, and I didnt speak up as I was willing to try something new (I also didn't mind it being a little cheaper). They looked amazing and were super hard to get off (which is a good thing). When I had gone back, I made sure to specify I wanted acrylic as I didn't love the thickness or feeling of what I had previously gotten, but the person who did them still did a good job. I had mentioned it was pretty difficult to soak off, and as I wanted them off before I came in. They asked who did my nails and I wasn't sure, but I never said I was unhappy with my nails or with who had done them. They were then speaking to eachother about what I said, but somehow had misheard me and thought I said some of my nails fell off, which isn't true. None of this was said to me, but was said to the friend I came with that frequents this salon, who was sitting in the other room doing a pedicure. Specifically what was said to her about me was, "I heard she said her nails came off. If she didn't like them then why did she come back? Why did she come back?" Which is wild considering I never said that and they either misheard me or misunderstood what I had said. Either way if they did misunderstand me, they could have asked me instead of rudely confronting my friend. Of course my friend will tell me when someone is talking about me because that was uncalled for. But as a customer providing business to the salon, again, it being my second time here, I am appalled that I was spoken about in this manner. It's distasteful and I'm disappointed because I genuinely loved the way my nails came out today, and couldn't stop complimenting the woman who was doing my nails, alongside a tip. I will unfortunately not be coming back because of the attitude of some of the staff, and how they choose to speak about their customers.

I booked an appt for Saturday morning right as they open. I was very excited. The place actually looked nice and seemed clean, but the tech was horrible. I believe her name was Sena (or Senna). She was rude, rough, heavy-handed, and rushed, scolded me for moving or not moving my thumb, for not knowing the terms for different nail shapes, etc. She kept grunting the entire time and did not listen to what I was asking or requesting. She was pretty hostile the entire time. Not exactly the spa experience I was hoping for. :(
