This is the first time I've ever felt compelled to leave someone a negative review. This place sucked. My friend and I went and the lady she got was super nice and friendly and did a really good job. The woman I got was very rude and made 3 of my cuticles bleed from over-filing. It HURT. I've had my nails done plenty of times and this has never happened to me. I pointed them out to her and asked that she not get any powder or chemicals in the parts that were bleeding (I was doing SNS), and she nodded but there was no apology or concern or anything. I have really healthy nails and cuticles and this manicure absolutely ruined them. It's been a week and I now have 2 hangnails and 3 ugly scabby cuticles which I've never had before. Leaving them 2 stars because my friend's experience was fine and my nails did look good, but it was not worth the pain and discomfort. read more

This use to be my favorite spot but now it's kinda unprofessional and the owner (front desk) is nasty! Ms. Debbie (pedicures)is the best makes me feel like I'm welcome along with a few others, Young (Waxing and lashes) Amy( waxing and Lashes) unless I'm getting eyebrows, feet or lashes put on I probably won't be back for nails. I called at 755pm to see what time they closed. The nice woman said 8 pm, but told me to come on and they will do my pedicure. The salon is busy, clean and their pedicure chairs are really comfy. The woman worked diligently on my heels, they are awful and they came out very smooth. The nail painting was flawless. I was very pleased. read more

First off, this is probably the 15th time I've been here. Not sure why I haven't done a review before. Secondly, I travel for work. I am all over the US. I will wait till I can bet back to Lexington to go to Pro Nail. They introduce me to the SNS after years of acrylic. I love it! I have also tried to get the SNS/dip powder as its sometimes called, at other places. After pro nail, other places just aren't as durable. Flight attendants are extremly hard on nails btw! Tina is by far my favorite nail tech ever! I'm not sure why they aren't better reviews. I guess when ppl are happy, they don't think about posting. So don't let the reviews scare u. Water not hot enough, tell them. Nail shape not to ur liking, tell them. If you don't say that u aren't happy about something, they won't know. I'm a high maintenance customer. This has been my nail place for several, several years. I always receive great service and perfect nails and eyebrows. Katarina is my favorite nail tech and Amy does my eyebrow waxing. Both ladies are very professional, friendly and make you feel welcomed along with all of the other nail techs. I highly recommend them. read more

I am beyond sad that I have to write this review. I went here about three weeks ago to get eyelash extensions. My eyelashes are something I've always been so insecure about and I was excited to try this. When I got there, it took her about 10 minutes to do them, which was great but also a red flag. I know the process takes longer and requires more work than that. Initially they looked great. I loved them for the time being. But after three weeks, I was getting tired of keeping up with them and decided it was time to remove them. I applied coconut oil and let them sit (that's how you're supposed to remove them. They should slip right off). However, they would not budge. I tried and tried and eventually they fell off. However they ripped out all of my lashes. I am beyond disappointed and I cannot stress enough how important it is to get your lashes at a place that actually knows what they're doing. read more

I don't know what's going on with Pro nails, but it is horrible now. I have never had a pedicure that was so painful and rough. That was the worst pedicure that only lasted 15-20min. They don't take time to pamper you and I received the deluxe package which ended up being the basic due to the bad service and the pain I was in. read more

I had left a positive review three weeks ago but I returned last week much to my disappointment. This salon isn't bad but Cindy in specific is terrible. I finally figured it out she's the only one that cuts me every single time and leaves my nails looking crooked and unnatural. To top it all off she didn't even let my nail polish dry in between coats and I had to go home and remove it and do it myself. This is not only my experience but of other people who have had their nails done by her. I don't like the way I was treated by her I never complained or said anything I even tipped her. I go here almost exclusively, they're the best price and I usually don't have a long wait when I go. Usually. I get SNS and it used to be $25, then $30, and last time it was $35 which makes it just as expensive as the highest priced places. Pricing depends on who does them and if I don't want them cut. I like my nails a little long, not insanely long but if I don't specify to "keep the length" they're clipped so short it's not even cute. So, by saying I don't want them cut, they still get shortened because it's just what they do, but I'm okay with it. They're never ever all even though, and sometimes I need to straighten them up but they usually do 3 coats of color, except last time she didn't (for $35). It's pretty durable and never chips, love that. The one thing that seems to happen a lot lately is the color will pull up and off my nails which is incredibly painful but I just glue it down until I can get back in, over and over because it doesn't hold. Their color selection boards are just an idea of the color you get, they REALLY need a new system and to update the colors because they're faded and/or not even available. Personally, I find that annoying. Last few times I've just gone with the same color because I at least know what I'm getting. I do like this place but if it's not cheaper, can't get better color selection, and the color keeps lifting off, I'm going to go elsewhere. read more

I used to come here years ago when I lived in Lexington. Today I came with my niece, and they were horrible. I asked what the wait was and they said "no wait." They sat us soaking our feet for 45 minutes, gave us a rushed, half-assed pedicure. I am usually a generous tipper, but the service was so mediocre and rude that I left them 5% mostly to make sure they got the message about how unhappy I was. I've been coming to pro nail for two years and never went anywhere else. The lady I went too left and I got placed with another lady and I have to say I'm very disappointed and never leave happy now. The sides of my nails are never filled in, my nails are never even, and I always have cuts on my fingers from where my skin has been filled from them filling my nails. I won't be back. I came to this salon with a friend who uses them regularly. The salon recently expanded and is very large. There are several stations on one side for your nails to be done and several chairs on the other side for pedicures. Everything was neat and clean, very organized. Cindy did my services. I got a polish change on my toes. She did a fantastic job filing them and rinsed the dust off before polishing. She polished my toes very evenly and each coat was just right to get good coverage. For my hands, I usually get shellac polish, but she told me about an alternative gel application called SNS. So, I gave it a try. Instead of polish, it is a very fine, thin powder. The SNS gel base coat has vitamin E and calcium in it to strengthen and feed your nails. She would coat each nail and dip it into the powder. The result was really really pretty and I am very happy with it. It's very shiny and looks more natural than the gel polish. Cindy says the SNS gel powder lasts 1-2 weeks longer than shellac!!! I definitely recommend going there!!!! read more

THIS PLACE IS A HEALTH HAZARD. I was horrified when my nail technician proceeded to use the EXACT same equipment on me, without sanitizing it, as she did on the person who was in the chair before me (dremmel to sand nails, nail file, buffing board). I was even more concerned when she cut me, wiped my blood away with BARE HANDS, and proceeded to continue using the equipment on me, which she simply sat on the counter and did not sanitize afterward. She then proceeded to spray my hand with what she said was alcohol (however it did not sting at all) and then she used the epoxy for gluing acrylic nails on my skin to stop my bleeding. When I asked her if she was going to clean the equipment, she looked and me blankly and refused to answer me after I asked more than once and her demeanor quickly went from friendly to surly. As a physician, I hope raising this issue carries particular weight--HEPATITIS B, HEPATITIS C AND HIV can be transmitted by such careless practices--let alone less alarming infections like MRSA. Hepatitis C, for example, can live on environmental surfaces up to THREE WEEKS if they are not properly sanitized. Yes, this place is cheap--but your health is not worth the risk. If it were possible to give this business zero, or even negative, stars I would. read more
