Since the weather was cooling, I knew I needed to get it repaired so the crack wouldn't expand further. I turned to trusty Yelp to find somewhere to go and came across this gem. Eugene Windshield Repair was able to get me in the next day, and the repair itself only took about 25 minutes. All the employees I interacted with were very kind and professional. They explained that they could go through my insurance if I wanted (since it was just a chip, I opted to pay out of pocket, a very reasonable $75), and all about the lifetime warranty. They also sent me out the door with a care package that included some clear stickers in case I ever get another chip so I can keep the dirt out, plus a coupon for a free coffee at The Human Bean! I still paid a few dollars more with Independence, but that feels a lot better than dealing with Safelite's shady quoting practice.
