Some people just suck at life and that's all there is to it. No reason to be mad about it, and no sense in getting mad about being called out for it. I'm like that about certain things myself. Despite the fact that I paid them daily (1st red flag) they began the job of refacing my exterior dormers, made an utter mess, and then simply disappeared leaving my exterior dormers exposed to water damage during a particularly rainy Spring season. Moreover the shingles that they did manage to complete entirely buckled within days. The fencing they installed is completely off center. And the mess they left behind took an entire day to clean up. Dozens of unanswered calls/texts latter I am left with a disastrous mess of exposure to resolve. Don't be fooled by their over-engaging persona ... integrity matters ... and you will find this company to be entirely lacking.

I had Tom come out to give me an estimate for a number of small jobs around the house that I needed to get done before putting the house up for sale...some painting, repairing a sticking door, replacing a towel rack that I tried to do myself and royally screwed up, replacing a small deck outside the back door and some patching and painting of drywall that had cracked. First, Tom showed up exactly on time for our appointment for the estimate - first very good sign since my experience with contractors/handymen is that they work on their own time. Tom was super nice and very friendly. He looked at all the work I needed done and took notes. We had a nice conversation and I immediately felt comfortable with having him in my home to do the work without me being there. When the estimate came in it was more than fair for the work to be done. I accepted his estimate and we set for him to start on Monday. Again, based on my past experience, I really didn't expect him to show on Monday, but he did and got a lot of the work done. I was so pleased when I got home and saw how much he had done and that he worked very cleanly. Tom came back on Tuesday to finish up and everything is perfect. The work is high quality and you can't even tell any work was done in the places he fixed/repaired. I could not be more pleased with the great job that Tom did and I would recommend him to anyone and will definitely call him again should I need any work done.

Steve at Mr. Handyman reached out right away and asked me to call him to discuss the details. I called Steve to explain a job I needed done involving an access door from my garage. He explained what he thought would be the best approach and that one of his employees would give me a better idea when he arrived for the quote. Steve explained the pricing, hourly rate, etc. and that his employee would give me a final quote before starting any work. Derek arrived on time for the appointment (I also got a text when he was on his way which was a nice touch). We went through all the details together, he explained what he would do and the estimated cost. I agreed and he got to work. He did an excellent job and the door looks great. I asked about a second project involving our swing set which he thankfully had time to include. Again, he went over all the details and estimates before proceeding. The work quality was again absolutely excellent. Derek cleaned up his work area completely. The final price came in exactly where expected, which I will also say I think is a fair price for the length of time he was here and the quality of the work performed. He asked me about any other needs I had and gave me some documentation regarding the most common jobs his company handles in case I need anything in the future. I can't think of anything about the process that could have been improved here. I would definitely give them a call again if I need anything!
