I am sorry, I have to vent. I NEVER used the water in my house as it leaves rust stains, smells…read moreand deposits black residue in the toilets. I called Meeks water treatment and asked them to come give me a solution. I explained I am from NY and have never had to deal with a well or this type of water and would be relying on their expert information. They discussed a system that would stop all the above and give us great water to drink. I agreed and we had the system installed. Had them set up on a regular visit for salt and service. So, the smell and black residue came back shortly after (just under a year) they came out looked it over and said THEY installed one of the pieces backwards and they needed to fix that AND I had to pay for labor. Yup, I did it, again, mistakes happen, ok, I dont think I should have had to pay, but. Ok, a little over a month, SAME THING. This time they tell me, again their mistake, I should have had a different unit installed not what I have and oh yes, they would give me a break on parts and labor, but I still had to pay. You guessed it, AGAIN we have the same thing, paid again for a service call to be told I need to get a plumber to come back wash my new water heater because when they had them set up in the wrong order it may have pushed sediment into the heater. Paid a plumber to come do just that, have video of NOTHING coming out of the heater and the plumber said, no way that is what is wrong. so here I sit, thousands out and still have a smell to the water and black sediment in the toilets. HELP, I am done calling Meek for them to keep charging me for THEIR mistakes. I wouldnt be SO against them if maybe they once said, Hey, this has been our problem, the service call is on us.

After a few mins he called me. I gave him a little background on previous service visits. That the wire needed to be repaired several times over the 10 years since its installation. He said the pump is bad and it would be $5000 to replace it with new Grundfos pump. Being a electrician by trade I know there is no way to say a pump is bad unless its pulled and the wire is checked. He gave me no other option and charge me $250 for 15 min visit. I called another company. They pull the pump and fix the wire. Even though the pump was working I asked them how much for a new pump. So far the visit was a $400 dollars. He say $1430.00 for new Grundfos pump.

This company will attempt to take you to the cleaners when their bottom line is low. Beware. They…read moretold me an iron filter that they had sold me some five years before was completely inoperative. The technician that came out began the whole sham as a sales pitch to sell me a new filter for $2500. I'm not a moron and I realized that iron filters last 25 to 20 years. So, when I said no, the technician continued to hammer at me by saying then that they would have to repair the interior of the filter, which would run between $500 and $1000. So, he took the filter apart, looked at it cursively, and then said the repair would run $1000. He then loaded the parts on his truck and left, charging me $320. At this point, I had no working product. I also noticed that he had not even tested the chemical structure of the water on my sales slip. Later, after I argued with the owner, he agreed to charge me $210 for the repair. They were back-pedaling and by then, I realized I was being had. I retrieved the key to the building where the filter was located and denied them any further access. I did NOT pay any more money to these grifters. But I had to hire an honest provider to put my system back together after they tore it apart under the guise of the yearly "inspection" of my filtration system. Suffice it to say, they saw me as a pigeon because I'm a single woman. They figured I would be an easy mark. Their reviews elsewhere are coerced. They contacted me once asking if I would give them a five-star review for a discount on one of the months they delivered salt for my softener. (Yes, they were charging me a monthly fee of $75 for that service as well!!) Them they drew a name out of a hat for a $100 credit on service. These people will do anything to fatten their bottom line. I'm glad I wised up. Stay away or get conned!
