Derek did an excellent job communicating, walking us through each step, being transparent about costs and expectations, and ensuring we were satisfied with our choices. I was amazed at his in depth documentation listing individual part costs and labor; it made me feel empowered to know exactly how the project funds were being spent. My favorite part is he flat out told us when he didn't agree with us on any choice, which I really respected because he truly is a master in his field. We used to have serious water seepage issues in our basement during period of heavy rain before the basement was finished. During the finishing, we got to see his work in action as moisture would literally be pushed away from our basement cement blocks. Since the work, we have NEVER had water seepage even during periods when our dry well and patio would flood (which has nothing to do with this basement project). No project is without its bumps; we did have some issues with some subcontract work but Derek took care of that too and really kept on top things taking ownership of the project end to end as an exceptional general contractor would. This project ended up costing us about twice our initial budget forecast but that was our choice, not because of any misunderstanding. We were so satisfied with the work and the process that we couldn't help but splurge and take further advantage of the quality workmanship. We even considered having our wooded deck redone but we were so far off budget that we decided to defer this work for the future (tbd). This guy went so far to help us with getting a town variance and showed up to the court hearing to coach us! It's now two years later and we really couldn't be more pleased. We know who we will call for our next project(s) once we are ready for it.

I was contacted the next day and had a quote for my roof by the end of the next day. I had called a few other companies for quotes, but Allabaugh had the best communication and prices. They aren't pushy on upselling either - pricing is very clear and easy to understand. You will get a written estimate on several different things (roof, roof w/plywood, gutters replaced, etc). You pick what you want and let them know. Within a week, we had it scheduled. They showed up around 6:30 am to check materials, drape protective sheeting over windows, porch, etc. By 2 pm they were done and cleaning up the yard/driveway. They even asked me to come outside to make sure that they put everything back to where it was and to make sure I was happy with the cleanup job. The entire work crew is very professional, friendly and respectful. AWESOME EXPERIENCE!

The Directorii website promoted Allabaugh and included a $20,000 guarantee stating: "We are 100% confident in our contractors, that is why every deal we make is backed by our Directorii Guarantee". The Allabaugh quote we selected for the 1780 sq ft roof on my ranch house included their "Best" shingle option and totaling $10,815. It included: A Lifetime manufacturer's warranty on the shingles. A 10 year workmanship warranty on all labor. A $20,000 Roofing Insights Guarantee. Fast forward to Nov '23. After a fairly dry autumn we had a heavy rainfall last week. The roof leaked into the attic and entered my home office through recessed lighting. There was a water stain in the ceiling surrounding the light fixture and my work computer was filled with rainwater. After multiple calls to Allabaugh's various phone numbers I was only able to get the office manager. They wouldn't get anyone here until the following Monday even though heavy rain was predicted for the weekend. I contacted another roofing company for a consult and to see if they could prevent another leak and I spread plastic in my attic to prevent further damage from the predicted storm. Thanks to the consulting roofer because when a different set of Allabaugh sub-contractors (Trenton Roofing) arrived on Monday they found no sign of new leakage though they recommended having the entire square replaced. After continued calls to Allabaugh's various phone numbers over the past week, I still have yet to reach anyone other than the office mgr. Apparently Jared is still out of town and I am told not to expect his reply until he returns in another week and one half. I may have suspected something was wrong during the initial roofing job - the unmarked truck used to haul away the old roof leaked oil all over my cement driveway. I have no idea as to the actual identity of the sub-contractor who did the initial roof replacement job.
