I was given a window of 12-4 and they arrived at 1pm. It didn't take long. They identified a fault with the seal around the gas pipe which was not with proper material and were able to correct and seal it properly. The exterior and part of the attic they could check was checked and I was given advise on next steps along with an upgrade option for future consideration. Hugh Dixon (Owner/Project Manager) was extremely detailed oriented and took pride in his work. Every detail was executed with precision and care, from the quality of the materials to the thoughtful layout. Even after a feature was completed, I would often see Hugh observing and changing something (that I saw no issues with) until he was satisfied. Hugh never cut corners and listened to all of our suggestions, even made last minute changes when we changed our mind on something. And the end result was simply spectacular. Our friends and neighbors say they had never seen such an expertly laid and meticulously installed flagstone patio. Hugh's team was extremely professional and punctual. When they would leave at the end of a hard work day, they would clean the entire area, wash as needed and will leave the work area spick and span. Some of the other companies I had gotten quotes from told me that I would need to hire additional companies/people - for example for sprinklers relocation, or for bringing a larger gas line for the fire pit (because I wanted a roaring fire), or for any carpentry work etc. Hugh's team did everything from A to Z for me, no additional help needed from anywhere else. Hugh had promised to wow me, and I must say he more than kept his promise. His work has completely gone downhill, and he clearly has major issues finishing jobs. Most recently, he scammed me out of $470. He promised to order my logs, and weeks later--nothing. First, it was a bunch of excuses, and now he has completely vanished. Worse? He blocked all my phone numbers. There is something seriously wrong here. It's clear he is using customers' money for something else because this pattern of delays, excuses, and disappearing acts is constant. DO NOT pay him upfront. DO NOT hire him. If you ignore this warning, expect to get ripped off. To make matters worse, he also did logs for my friends (who I had originally recommended him to), and they arrived broken. He promised to replace them under warranty. That was almost a year ago. Still nothing. Save yourself the headache and money--hire someone else.
