I had a great experience with this mobile mechanic. He came out to me and replaced my A/C…read morecompressor, and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. He was on time, professional, and clearly knew what he was doing. He explained everything in a way that made sense, didn't try to upsell anything unnecessary, and made sure the job was done right. My A/C is now blowing cold again like it should, and the car is running perfectly. You can tell he takes pride in his work and cares about doing a quality job. On top of that, the convenience of him coming to me saved a lot of time and hassle. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone looking for reliable and honest mobile mechanic work.

However, I am very disappointed with the level of expertise and outcome of the visit. My 2014 Jeep compass has had the check engine light on for a week, steering locked up last week, and has had delayed clicking start. Justin arrived, I gave him the full history of my vehicle (no problems for 10 years) and the issues occurring the last month or so which prompted the call. He started running tests, even drove the car around to see if he could replicate what I had been experiencing. About 30 minutes into the visit he said he couldn't replicate any of the issues; that's okay, as I mentioned it only happened about 50% of the time. But he sat in my car another 20-30 minutes or so, told me he had to call his boss because he was completely stumped. Not really what you want to hear, but even I started making suggestions of what it could be so he could at least do something for me. At the end of the visit he basically just said "sorry I have no idea what's wrong, maybe replace your battery?"... the only thing he found was a sensor on my engine needed replacement, but it's totally unrelated to the other issues. I ended up having to pay $150 for literally no better idea what's wrong with my car and not feeling any safer to drive it. It was a huge waste of my time and now I'm out $150, and I still had to take it to another shop that already figured out the problem not even 24 hours later. Save yourself some money and go to a real auto shop. I understand that some technicians may be learning or lack the knowledge to dive deeper, but someone should be going with them to assist so your customers aren't left feeling robbed and confused.

So I had to get it professionally done. I was out of there in 30 minutes. Since I already had the part they charged me $80. The owner was very nice and chatted me while my car was being serviced.

Sheila was the first to respond, and when she sent over the quote, I almost couldn't believe it. AZ Auto Repair and Body had the best price by a long shot. When I arrived, I was promptly greeted by the owner, Mike, with a warm handshake. Even with a lot full of cars, he assured me they'd squeeze me in -- which was a huge relief. In no time at all, my oil change was done, and they genuinely thanked me for coming in. What really stood out to me was the integrity. Not once did they try to upsell me on anything I didn't need -- no pressure, no surprise add-ons, just straightforward and honest service. That alone sets them apart. This place is an absolute gem. Everyone was warm, professional, and kind -- something that's surprisingly hard to find in the automotive world. This is officially my new go-to shop. If you're in the area, I highly recommend giving them a try. You won't find friendlier people or better prices.

Heed the fact that many are stating their pricing is high...it is. It's easy to have a clean office and a drop off service, but the real question you have to ask yourself is will you get support when you are in for the third time in two weeks? We moved out to the far west valley and thought we would try them out since they were closer and also wanted a second opinion on some quotes we got from our regular shop. They have a clean office and courteous staff in the front office upon first interactions. We brought in a 2007 highlander with 136K miles to get a second opinion on. We also brought a 2007 Honda Odyssey in and wanted to get it inspected as we were going to sell one or the other. We were told both vehicles would last us a good long while and made the decision to have Christian Brothers degrease and pressure wash the van to determine where an oil leak came from. They recommended for us to remove and replace the front and rear valve cover gasket and recommended changing the spark plugs because of damage by the oil (per phone call) and reached the manufacture recommendation. We agreed to this service and paid $1343.37. 3/6 - picked van up. On the way home from the shop the engine light came on. Told to let it sit overnight and maybe light will turn off. It didn't. 3/9 - brought van back in. They did something to turn the light off. Was not provided with email or printout to show what. 3/15 - leaking again. Under verbal contract for sale of our other vehicle. 3/16 - other vehicle sold 3/17 we find out that they now have determined that the oil pump gaskets are leaking and this leak is contaminating surrounding areas. In order to "prevent a total engine breakdown" they recommend replacing the oil pump gaskets, timing belt, and tensioner, along with camshaft seals and the water pump all totaling $3080.37. To rub salt into a wound, we were told the good thing about this is that the timing belt and something else was due to be replaced in the future anyway so really we're saving time and money by doing it now. Probably not the best phrasing when you are just discovering a leak that would have impacted whether or not we even kept the other vehicle. We asked to speak to a manager and wanted the 1343 back that we put into this van upon their recommendation. The front office person came back and said that he spoke to the manager and they won't do that but they'll put it towards the $3080. Why would we continue to trust that you can find and fix the next issue when we are already on our third visit in 14 days and you consider extra repairs just because you're doing a fix as a silver lining? Why put any more money or the warranty through your company when we've made it clear we don't trust you? We asked again to speak to the manager and to put it succinctly rather than just being upfront that they were absolutely not going to bend in any way he chose to ask to hear our perspective, argue against our perspective, "educate us on the auto industry", and tell us that we could not interrupt and then get upset when he interrupted us and we called him on it. The phone call should have been five minutes. Just repeat your stance instead of trying to change our perspective and educate us on the industry. The other frustrating part of the experience is when we asked for the contact information of the owner. We were told something to the effect of he didn't have a way to contact the owner. We countered and said you are telling us you have no way to reach your boss? He then said that he has his personal information, but he can't give that out. Of course we aren't asking for personal information! Finally, after we told him we'll find it ourselves, he gave us the general email address that you see given in the reviews. They might very well comment and state that they couldn't fix what they couldn't see. And technically that is true. However, there is a spirit here of customer service that is the point. We trusted you with your guidance, finding and identifying the problem, and then fixing it. You came up lacking all while trying to spin that you're really doing us a big favor by doing these repairs altogether and crediting us towards a future repair when trust was very clearly broken and we made it clear we didn't want to do business with you any longer. And if you couldn't "see" this, then what else are you not going to "see". Last, there is a reason why they can pick you up from your house and drop you off or just come get your vehicle. Their quotes compared to our previous shop are hundreds of dollars more. Some as high as $600 for the same job. We're happy to return to this other reputable shop even though it's further away.
