Everyone was young, but they knew their stuff and gave me a short training tutorial and threw in extensions cables and aux to phone jack cable as well as a better XLR cable that would work better than the 1/4 jack cable I had for my Mics that I brought for our cousins to do speeches and MC the event. It was so simple to play the audio of a slide show we had on our laptop and we were able to Spotify a wedding music set from our phone making the whole event ever more special yet still chill and warm and full of family love. I felt very confident with the equipment all from the thorough training I was given on how to use the equipment and how to work the stand and such. We ended up renting a loudspeaker system, two mics, a digital mixing console, and dance floor lighting. The cost was incredibly reasonable considering the final total included not just the rental, but the set-up and breakdown labor, an attendant on site, and transportation. About a month before the wedding, Chris made time to come out to meet us at our venue to do a walkthrough. What made this special? Our venue only allowed for viewing on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 pm to 8 pm. Though based in San Francisco, he was there before 6:30 pm and proceeded to walk through the dining room to check outlets and power sources, get a sense of the acoustics of the room, etc. On the day of the wedding, Chris was the one in attendance and the sound and lighting was absolutely perfect. From our entrance and first dance songs, to the music playing during dinner, to the 2.5 hour dancefloor playlist - everything was super crisp (never too loud/too soft). My then fiance made a playlist and downloaded it to a laptop and it worked seamlessly with the sound and lighting equipment. During dancing, Chris wordlessly turned down the chandelier lighting so that the lighting from JK Sound could really shine. The strobe lighting to the beat drops was so memorable. I tried not to stress and I scrambled and found Golden Gate Computing on Google Maps. It's no wonder they have a 5-star rating! These guys go way beyond the call of duty to provide top notch service. Most people would have blown me off, but not Golden Gate Computing! They are like the super heroes of your tech needs.
