After endless research, I had two TV models in mind that we needed to see in person. But let's be…read morereal--I wasn't about to waste my time at Best Buy talking to some kid who knows more about TikTok than tech. Enter The Big Screen Store in Loudoun. We strolled in, fully convinced we were "just shopping." Kevin, the lone warrior holding down the store on a Saturday, greeted us and let us do our thing. No pressure, no awkward sales tactics--just pure, knowledgeable guidance when we needed it. The moment he shut off both TVs to show us that one had ZERO glare, my husband was sold. Then came pricing. I had done my homework, and while Amazon had it for $100 less (sketchy shipping included), The Big Screen Store had a tax waiver and free white-glove delivery. That was a no-brainer. We bought it on the spot, and the entire experience was smooth as butter. If you're in the market for a Samsung TV, this is where you need to go. Five stars, no hesitation!

Do not buy from this store. I considered purchasing a TV but could get a better deal with Costco,…read morebut moreover the return policy is much more favorable if you have issues. I purchased an entertainment center from them with obvious defects. They tried to tell me that a "hole" in the cabinet was a natural occurrence (a knot in the wood). They offered to take the cabinet in return if I paid shipping OR I could exchange for the floor model!?!?!?! Sells reps tell you that they'll take care of you, but in the end, the "home office" is the only one with authority to make decisions about returns.

The big chessboard required metal brackets. Philip ensured that the piece was attached to the wall securely. Overall, very professional. I will definitely hire him in the future. I had started the job myself but got an anchor screw stuck and figured I should have a pro step in so I didn't wreck my new walls. All the supplies were here, placed where they needed to be, holes were measured and marked for custom made rods and drapes. He charges by the hour and moves very, very slow. He didn't have his own step ladder or anchor screws. In the first hour, he managed to put in 3 screws in holes that had already been marked. He claimed he "needed to remeasure" and that's why it took so long, but he used the holes that I had already marked. He also said it was too hard to do with custom cut rods. He also said it wasn't his fault because I had an anchor screw stuck in the wall already, which was the whole reason I hired him. This is what pros do: they come prepared, know the required materials and techniques, and advise the customer on the best way to proceed. I knew we needed to cut it off when he asked me how to use an anchor screw. He didn't know if you needed to pre-drill or not for a very basic and common anchor. I cannot imagine a professional handyman not knowing that. He used a level to stare at the pre-marked holes for what seemed like an eternity, just eating up time. 3 screws = $200. Seems like a nice enough man, but handyman may not be the profession for him, and that's giving him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn't just trying to take advantage of someone he assumed was too naive too know how long the job should take. He became very defensive, making excuses when I said we'd need to end the job at one hour. Im sure judging by other less than 5 star reviews here (that I really wish I'd have taken the time to read) he will post a very defensive response here as well. Please just don't take a job you don't have the required expertise to complete, and I don't want to hear defensive excuses when I'm still out $200 for almost no work completed.

They were flexible with me possibly having to re-schedule my appointment at the last minute if the cable equipment had not arrived on time. The installation team arrived at the time promised. They were polite, clean and professional. They used shoe covers, which I appreciated. I bought my own bracket and they were very familiar with it. They even uncrated my 85" TV from my move, which required them unscrewing wooden boards -- much more work than simply opening a cardboard box. Then they measured precisely, putting guide tape on the wall that they removed without leaving any marks. They also cut a hole on the wall behind the TV to run the power cord behind the wall to the outlet near the floor. The work was professionally done and looked great. They ran all the cables along the bracket, which was important because the bracket and wall would be visible when I pulled the TV out and swiveled it to seen from the kitchen, dining room or the living room. The whole process took under an hour and they didn't seem to cut any corners. The estimate was not the least expensive I received, but I felt the thoughtful questions they asked before I even accepted their quote, indicated the attention to detail that I wanted -- and I was right. I can't say if all their teams work this well, but the one that came to my house was exceptional.

However, communication became very difficult after that. Calls often went to a full voicemail box, and I was unable to confirm a time for a rescheduled Sunday appointment. I made several attempts to follow up, but did not receive a response. Unfortunately, I had to move on to another provider due to the lack of communication and reliability.
