In an industry dominated by big-box names and corporations or cheapskate, God-only-knows-when-they'll-show-up workers, finding Comfort Solutions is a terrific blessing. They were responsive via their website, phone, and text quickly. The office staff (Ms. Amanda, I believe) was courteous. She explained my options to me and let me pick what was best. The tech, David, showed up in the window and did good work. He educated me as he worked, including telling me several steps I could do myself to save money and time. He was very personal and professional both. It may not be a big deal to all, but they have both their mission statement and their vision statement on their brochure, which means a lot to me: "We are dedicated to being well known in our community for providing the highest quality of HVAC services the industry has to offer. It is imperative to provide same high level of comfort and confidence to our customers, as we do our own families. We provide honest and ethical services, and always strive to do the right thing for the customer no matter what. Unfortunately, my recent experience was very disappointing. My HVAC system is only about 3-4 years old, and two days ago it stopped cooling properly during a very hot day. I called Ragsdale, and they sent a technician named Brandon Thompson to inspect the system. During the visit, Brandon focused heavily on my air filter, which is a 5-inch MERV 12 filter purchased from Home Depot. He insisted that the filter was restricting airflow and contributing to the cooling issue. He also told me that Ragsdale sells a 5-inch MERV 11 filter and attempted to sell me one. I found this frustrating because the discussion seemed more focused on selling products than diagnosing the actual problem. I was also surprised to be charged a $59.95 diagnostic fee, considering that I pay annually for a maintenance membership and my system is covered by a 10-year parts-and-labor warranty. What disappointed me most was the overall experience. In the past, I had very positive interactions with several Ragsdale technicians who were professional, knowledgeable, and focused on solving problems. This visit felt different. Instead of receiving objective technical advice, I felt like I was dealing with a salesperson. The technician repeatedly introduced additional services and products, which made me question whether technicians are being pressured to upsell customers. In previous visits, technicians had mentioned alternative air filter options, including reusable metal filters, but those conversations felt informative rather than sales-driven. This time, the sales pressure was much more aggressive. Based on this experience, I no longer feel comfortable recommending Ragsdale with the same confidence that I once did.

Well the showed up not prepared and then try to tell me they have to charge me a trip charge. I was like no--you should have been prepared. You came out not prepared when you knew the unit wasn't working--why do i pay for that service. The tech says they will talk to owner and ask to waive trip charge but owner doesn't even have the courtesy to call back and they drive off leaving me wondering--so I call and talk to owner and he gets pissy with my and says they are not repairing the unit.
