I can remember just like yesterday. 4 to 5 yrs is no time for a brand new hvac system to be going out. Well, I knew it would happen, you just gotta prove to your husband "they" are not good people. We had 1 yr repair and maintenance and 6 yrs parts replacement due to warranty( I believe the color of your skin gets you more bc some offer 4 to 5 yrs repair and maintenance and some of these guys are dumb asf!). So, here we go. My house is small 3 bedroom rooms, 2 baths, and I can hear everything that goes on outside. Anyone can take a system out, but putting one in, it took these guys a village. There was an older guy with a big beard, he talked to himself while he worked. He hang the unit and according to the bigger sized guy with black hair he say "he's messing this job up! What is he doing?" Is what I heard him say at the time we had a carport, so I kind of walked up behind him. He apologizes and say I'm sorry our guy that does the crawl space systems are on vacation (yeah right). Also I forgot to mention this is a crawl space unit so you have to be well trained to do one. Our crawl space is very clean and has lights under there as well. Back to the story....the bigger/black hair guy is the one who made me afraid that NONE of them knew what they were doing. So, the older gentleman gets mad and they kind of get into a fuss on the front sideways and he leaves the fat black haired gentleman at my house to finish. ( understand this bigger guy is the antagonist, yet the troublemaker) This guy hurries and does something and then he comes in the house to see if the system is heating. I felt the unit blowing and I told him it felt like it's luke warm air with a stripe of cold blowing. He stands in the house and says it'll be like that at first. I said that I never felt one that cool, I think you may have the system wired wrong. He says no it'll warm up. So from night to the next morning we were about to freeze because this was October (2021). We like to had froze our butts off. So we go online and see that they had an emergency night time hotline. What did I do this for. The secretary basically was very angry told me I'm not no princess that someone has to jump and do stuff for. This was on Saturday! She said just wrap up in some extra blankets because no one's coming out there this early. We argued! I have that transcript of our argument saved somewhere. I'll add the photos/screenshots later. So, that morning they send fat/black hair back out. I told him "I told you bf you left that thing was cold, then I had to get in an argument with you guys smart ass secretary" Long story short, you can try these guys. We did get almost 5 yrs out of this unit, but beware. In the end they sent a guy that looks just like Billy Ray Cyrus to fix the whole unit. The wires were crossed and they had put something wrong together under there that he also fix because my husband was under the house with him and the fat black headed guy. Before they left, Billly Ray was talking and laughing with me in my husband under the carport. Here comes fat black headed guy " "Hey can you call Becky tell her we're okay, tell her we're safe? She was worried about us coming back out here." I looked at him and kept my peace. My husband froze and was staring at me and Mr. Billy Ray was looking like "dude we are at the car". His fat ass just looked pathetic to me when he said this. I spent $6,000 and something for a whole unit and got treated like trash. You see the ratings here yourself in Google. These gotta be from those women in the office. All I know is that doing business with these guys didn't feel good. I also called the office during their lil argument earlier in the story and told them that I didn't feel they knew what they were doing. Just know bad things happen when you look down on good people trying to make ends meet and a way for their family. Hope karma hasn't been to bad on you guys but you deserve every bad thing you got after you put in our system in 2021. Watch who you do it to is all I'm saying.

I recently had to call them on a weekend and I didn't wait to leave a message. However, they sent me a text asking if I needed anything. Like, huh? Never has a business ever sent me a text asking if I needed help. And on a weekend!! Before Christmas!! My heating wasn't working and they quickly responded with a service call and a tech was out to my house within a few hours which has always been the case whenever I have called. Now THAT is top tier service! The tech (and I sincerely apologize for not remembering his name) was thorough and didn't leave til he got the furnace up and running. I still have to have more work done but at least I have heat! Dobbs is very accommodating, reliable and efficient. They have a service plan, which I highly recommend. They will come a few times a year to do a systems check. They go over everything and give options as to what should be done now and what can wait should there be anything else that needs to be fixed. This is great to do before the summer and/or winter months so you're not stuck without cooling or heating. Dobbs is now on speed dial and I highly recommend them. Fast, helpful, courteous, reliable, caring, value their customers, and efficient are just a few adjectives that I would use to describe Dobbs. Call them before calling anybody else!

This is an update to my previous glowing review singing their praises. Unfortunately, they did not…read morestand the test of time and I definitely would not recommend Maintenance Unlimited to anyone. The good news is that I suffered the headache others can avoid :) First, the prior work done was not completed and I was hoping they would come back to finish the project properly so that all the systems installed or modified can function correctly. They didn't show up after 2 months of scheduling and constant rescheduling of appointments. All the folks (Darrell & Pam) I mentioned in the previous review turned out to be unreliable - excuse upon excuse. I eventually gave up and found another provider to fix up all their mess and wrap up the project correctly. Second, there were several competency issues with the duct work done. A few examples are: 1) should the supply from an ERV that outputs 200 CFM be connected to the plenum of an HVAV that outputs 2000 CFM? A pro should know that the HVAC will win and blow air back into the ERV. 2) Similarly, should the supply from a Dehumidifier that blows ~100 CFM be connected to the same HVAC plenum? These are seemingly basic air flow considerations any HVAC pro should know. 3) They put only 2 returns (14in and 10in flex ducts) on a 2000 CFM HVAC. I'm not an HVAC pro but even I knew this was not enough return. I had to point out to Darrell to use a duct sizing calculator to figure out how much return was still missing. 4) They couldn't wire my thermostat (Nest - latest gen) to the dehumidifier (Aprilaire E080) correctly too. So many red flags... Third, as a last resort, I called the office to ask to speak to a manager/supervisor. It seems that office rep is pre-programmed to state someone will call back "at their earliest convenience" with an unpleasant attitude to boot. After more than 3 weeks, no call back. Overall, my experience started well but crashed badly. Life is about lessons and even better when you can learn from others' failures. This was a nightmare over a 5 month period and I hope nobody experiences this with them again.
