But I'm not here for the ambience, I'm here for the good food and as a Vietnamese person, I can confidently say the pho is authentic. The broth was aromatic and flavorful, with just the right amount of depth and richness. The noodles were perfectly al dente, and they were very generous with the meat. They also offer Bún Bò Huế, a spicy beef noodle soup from Central Vietnam. I find that restaurants on the East Coast often make their Bún Bò Huế a little too sweet, but thankfully, that wasn't the case here. The broth had a really nice balance of savory flavors and spice. It's a much heartier, more pungent soup than pho, and they did it very well. Honestly, both noodle soups were so delicious that I came back the very next day! The Cơm Tấm Đặc Biệt was also delicious. My only critiques were that the shredded pork skin could have used more roasted rice powder, and the rice wasn't actually broken rice. Otherwise, everything on the plate was really good. We also tried the Ốc Mỡ Xào Me, or sea snails in tamarind sauce. I'd never had them prepared with this particular style of sauce before, but I'm glad I tried it. The sauce was creamy, sweet (a little too sweet?), and savory, and the bread was perfect for soaking up every last bit of it. The bun thit nuong cha gio and chicken parm hero were both good but the noodle soup dishes are still my favorites here. I washed everything down with a Vietnamese coffee which was the perfect finish. It was super strong and creamy, exactly the way it's supposed to be! Service was quick and easy! Everyone there was super friendly and nice! Fiorentina was determined to pick up where they left off. I'll confess something- I used to be one of those people who said, "I'm not eating at an Italian restaurant if Italians don't own it." Consider me corrected. Because these folks have been bringing their A-game STRONG. My first visit back in '23, my teacher friends and I kept things light. Food was good and atmosphere was nice- but the cocktails were weak. I can't speak on their current strength situation, so proceed carefully or just order wine.Fast-forward to visit #2 in September '26. I suggested Fiorentina for a family lunch after my daughter spent the weekend with her grandma, especially because Fiorentina is now offering a $25 prix-fixe lunch with salad+entrée+coffee or tea OR a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yesterday, we were a bit pressed for time, so we ordered the lamb chops, skirt steak, and, of course, a nice bottle of wine. Everything was fantastic. The lamb chops were phenomenal, easily among the best I've had at any restaurant. They were incredibly flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. I'm usually not someone who enjoys eating the fat on meat, but the fat on these chops was rendered so beautifully that I found myself eating every bite. There wasn't a single chewy or unpleasant piece. I normally order the porterhouse or ribeye, but the skirt steak was an excellent choice when I wanted something leaner and quicker to enjoy without sacrificing flavor. The fried potato salad is another standout. It's a unique side that's absolutely worth ordering. And then there's the peppercorn sauce served with the lamb chops. It's a total mic drop. I honestly can't put into words how good it is. I found myself dipping everything in it (even my fingers ). It's that delicious!
