The Beaver Creek shuttles were outstanding the whole weekend and ensured our guests got everywhere they needed to be safely and on time. The ceremony site out back is private and naturally beautiful. Cocktail hour in the library worked perfectly and then everyone was blown away when they went upstairs to the reception space. Something that made it a bit uncomfortable was the remote parking, is about a mile away. They do have shuttles to take you there, but we had someone with disabilities in our party and this was a bit inconvenient.

I can't begin to describe how effortless Emily made the planning process though we were a thousand miles apart and sometimes even a half a world apart. She was always prompt with responses and we were able to count on her to execute every detail that needed overseeing from afar. Honestly, there were times that we were unable to give her sufficient notice regarding requests and she graciously and gracefully accommodated each and everyone. Weddings are a stressful affair. To try and plan one in 3.5 months seems impossible. Not true when you have someone like Emily in your corner. She was genuinely interested in making everyone happy but staying true to my original vision. She fought hard to protect the elements that meant a lot to me and there is no way to adequately thank her for that. Emily has a natural talent when it comes to event planning as evidence by her composure, timeliness, willingness to adapt and doing it all with the warmest of smiles on her face. My husband, our families and I genuinely believe we were blessed to have Emily by our side. She made our dream wedding a reality. Her eye for detail, her organizational abilities and her extensive knowledge of vendors in the Breckenridge/Vail area alleviated much of the guesswork when it came to picking vendors such as the florist, DJ, decor and even stationary. I am actually sad that the wedding is now over because I miss my regular interactions with Emily. She was such a beacon of hope and positivism at times where I was unable to manufacture my own. The thing I loved most about working with Andrea was how personable and present she is from the beginning planning stages all the way through the end of the night on your special day. While in Vail for a quick getaway for a short weekend, I found this on a whim. As lucky as I felt I also got to learn about their history that is ending soon come end of September 2026 due to the owners' difficulties in renewing their lease with Denver Water. This ranch is an event place, paddle boarding place, hiking paradise, wild animal watching, etc. all in one. Per the information I read, the current owners have operated it for the last 15 years. This is one of the iconic places when it comes the outdoorsy stuff you can do in Vail. I wanted to do the hike to the waterfall and yet as sooo. As I learned from one of the workers that it takes about 6 hours to complete the whole round trip journey, I regrettably forego the opportunity. "I guess I will come back to do it before the official closure of the business" was what I thought and yet that's roughly two months away. Will I make it then? I shall see.. As the drought continues to threaten the entire region, I felt that this area could also utilize some moisture. Fortunately however, some wild flowers as well as the whole lushness of the greenery were still intact (as of early July in 2026.) So if you want to enjoy this beautiful property before it's completely shut down for good, go here before September 27, 2026. There is still time.

While the ride is extremely bumpy to get there, it is well worth it. The views along the way are wonderful, but once you enter the grounds you see a wonderful little camp with amazing views with many activities available. You can just sit and enjoy the scenery while enjoying a nice beverage and good food, or you can explore the area with a wonderful, well manicured and marked trail, lake for fishing and boating and breathtaking scenery for photography. If you have a long lens you may capture some great wildlife.. maybe even a moose on the far side of the lake. Piney Ranch hosts many weddings and some of the staff are residents at this great community. It took approximately an hour from Vail and I would not attempt to drive the bumpy road in the dark or rain. An SUV would be best, but we saw sedans making the trip. No camping available.
