Also available at Christmas is a craft fair with local vendors, holiday treats like cookies, cider and hot chocolate and for s'mores for the kids (young and old). Please do not book your event here, as they will steal your money and not provide any sort of compensation for the inconveniences faced on the event date.

During the reception that I attended here, we dined under their large, heated tent, which had plenty of room for everything that was needed. There was also WiFi available on site. This is very important working as a team to create such a special day for two people. None of our family or invited friends knew about this place. We had guests from Minnesota, Mexico, California, Spain, Colombia, Panama, and other countries. We knew that they were making a huge sacrifice to be here on our special day. The time for the wedding arrived and when our guests arrived at Blackstone Rivers Ranch they were stunned and delighted, our guests did not stop commenting that it was the most beautiful and fun wedding they have ever been to. We had compliments about the venue, catering, DJ, coordinator, photographer, EVERYTHING from our guests. As a bride I was afraid of having the same problem as the other brides, who always had some complaint or something that did not go the way they wanted on their special day, BUT NO I was not one of those brides (YAY)! My wedding was the best and the most perfect thanks to Blackstone Rivers Ranch and their list of preferred vendors. Without the help of BRR my wedding would not have been possible to plan as perfectly. Every penny invested in this wedding was worth it to the fullest. My husband and I are more than sure that it was the best decision we have ever made in having a big wedding with 100 guests and not a small wedding with only 15 or 20 guests. My guests fell in love with our wedding and the venue and they couldn't stop talking about it. They had a mini fridge, a fire place that was not real but you could turn it on to get it heat, a tv, some dishes that you could use, a microwave. The beds were comfy. There are only maybe 6-7 rooms available and it is in a wonderful location. It was so close to many of the hikes we had planned on doing for the weekend. only a 5-10 minute drive to the hikes from the lodge. Not much in the tiny town of grant though for restaurants but that is okay. We brought a lot of food with us to sustain us through the weekend. The owners were great. The room was clean. Overall super happy with our stay! Will definitely be back in the future!

Tip: Call to reserve late checkout at 1:30 for $30. First come first served. Otherwise checkout is at 11 AM. It was nice to enjoy coffee in the lodge after a late night concert. Worth it to take the shuttle (mini school bus with a couch and disco balls!) for $15/person to be dropped up at the top of Red Rocks - beats the long line walking up. $25/person pick up - approx 10 min walk but it's all downhill to the party bus and seemed way safer than all the taxi drivers in your face outside of the amphitheater. Brooks is awesome and takes care of you!! We stayed in the Rose Retreat again. It's a small room, but I love the big shower and mini fridge with Brita. The window air conditioning unit kept the place nice and cool with it being 95° outside. Private hot tub and robes in the closet. Breakfast is included. Order at check-in and enjoy the next morning. There is also fruit, bagels, coffee and tea, with alternative milk available. Bottomless mimosas available for a cost. We enjoyed a nice chess game with coffee after a delicious breakfast. Can't wait for the next visit!

This isn't a super nice or updated space, but we had everything we needed for our mixed bag of early 30s friends. My friends and I stayed in the Stone St. cottage, which is heavily Grateful Dead/psychedelic/ classic rock themed. The room is listed as sleeping 3, which we did on night one, but easily slept 4 on night 2. The grounds were so charming and eclectic. The cottage we were in was a little wonky and slanted on the floor, but the rooms were clean, the shower worked great and we had more than what we needed. We checked in super late in the darkness so we didn't get to experience a normal front desk check in, which I'm sure would brief us on procedures like pre-ordering breakfast the night before, but the staff was so accommodating when we showed up hungry and ordered bacon, eggs and potatoes in the AM. Mary was the cook and she was rad, quick witted and whipped up a lovely home cooked breakfast. There are 2 dogs (that we met) on site names Shokti (gorg white husky queen) and Mr. Dog (precious, hilarious chihuahua businessman) and we loved to pet and visit with them while in the main lodge. That space is incredible: kitschy, eclectic, trippy and warm, just like our whole stay! I could go on forever about how adult-summer-camp-esque the grounds were! Every cottage is themed, though we only entered ours. The covered hot tub was a crucial touch for our group in the crisp 50 degree weather to take a morning dip and unwind after the show. I'm unsure if all cottages come with hot tubs so definitely confirm if that's something you're interested in. The walkability to all the necessities and some breweries/ eateries was appealing when we had time to kill. Cliff House offers a shuttle to and from Red Rocks for a fixed price per rider. The shuttle to the venue leaves 15 minutes prior to doors which was a little late for us, so we opted to take the shuttle back and it was a highlight of the trip. Brook's organized the shuttle, sent us incredibly detailed instructions on where/ how to find her in a short, yellow school bus. I especially appreciate the details because we had been drinking etc and needed the depth of care taken to make sure we found her! The bus was stocked with beverages and we played music and just bopped down the hill, laughing our butts off. This was such a fun stay for us and it was thanks to the grounds, location, home cooked breakfast and tea in the lodge, Mary, Brooks, Shokti and Mr. Dog. I will recommend to anyone I know traveling that way!

Just completed wedding weekend with my daughter. The venue was beautiful. The setting is amazing!…read more My daughter had initially hoped to be married in the fall after getting engaged at the beginning of the pandemic. The venue was completely honest with us that they were trying to have some level of flexibility with those that had booked their weddings for May and June long before anyone knew a pandemic was coming, but they knew that wasn't going to be completely possible for those who scheduled once the pandemic had already started. We were smart enough to think ahead and realize that might be an issue and decided to schedule for a much later date from the start. By waiting, we were able to host everyone who wanted to make the trip to Colorado (most of the guest list was out of state.) Pandemic mitigation had come along far enough that we did not have to cut the guest list at all. This is not a full service venue, it is just the event space with one price regardless of the size of the party. Catering (which would be priced based on party size) is something you will need to arrange separately, but for my daughter and her new husband, that was perfect. They were able to have the food they wanted - a wood fired pizza truck! The only issue we had at all was the noise level inside made it hard to have a conversation sometimes with others at our table. However, because the weather was cold and rainy (and actually snowing during the ceremony!) we had to be indoors with the windows and doors closed for most of the event. I am guessing if they were opened, it would have made a large difference in the noise level. It was a gorgeous wedding and so much fun.
