Do not use this service. I got married last week. I booked an at home hair appointment on my wedding day through PRIV, got a confirmation, all seemed well. The morning of my wedding I sat around waiting for the stylist to show up. I texted him through the app with no response. Finally, a half hour after the scheduled time he responds with "sorry i got locked out of my account." I'm confused, naturally, and ask him if we're still all set for our appointment. He takes another fifteen minutes to tell me that he had an emergency and can't make it. Things happen, I completely understand, I'm not upset at the stylist and I genuinely hope everything is alright with him, however for a wedding day style, the company needs to have a backup ready to go. They did not. The company texted me and told me they were trying to find a replacement, and then asked when the latest time one could show up. I still needed to get my makeup done, get dressed, eat and get to our venue, so I told them that if someone couldn't be at my house within the hour that we needed to cancel. They obviously didn't find anyone on that short of notice, and so I had to do my own hair for my wedding. Their version of reparations was a $150 credit (keep in mind this was a $300 appointment). I obviously will not be using this service again so the credit is useless. Do not use PRIV, especially in the case of an important event. They have no backup plan if your stylist cancels last minute. read more

Salvador did a great job with my blowout and beach waves! I was suspicious when it only took him 30 minutes and I expressed hesitation with how curly it looked. He was super sweet and patient and showed me that he knew exactly how my hair would hold a curl for my photoshoot three hours later and he was absolutely right. There wasn't too much product but it held and fit my description and felt natural. Definitely recommend for family photo day and not just for weddings! read more

I was very disappointed in this service. I had beGlammed come do a wedding trial and that same day I did my engagement photos because my hair and makeup would be professionally done by their Elite artists. When they finished it looked good but an hour to my engagement photo shoot the airbrush makeup starting getting blotchy and it was coming off my face...it made me look two toned and crazy. My hair did not hold at all and the waves came undone after being outside for an hour. I was so sad that my engagement photos got messed up and the photographer had to use major editing to cover it up as much as he good. I am not sure if my elite artists were just not good or this is the case with all of them but I would not recommend this service for one of the most important days of your life. The hair and makeup person I did end up using for my wedding was amazing and everything stayed on and held from 6am-11:30pm. There is good quality out there but no sure about this service. read more

My BFF means the world to me! So before her big wedding they decided to do a court wedding with just a few people less than 10. With it just being a courthouse and not the dream ceremony they had in motion for October. She was nonchalant about the whole event. It was small, just a few family and friends. She set up shop and I called my bff down stairs so "I" can get started on her make-up. Surprise! Our MUA worked diligently to help our bride the look she desired. She was also sweet and friendly. Can keep a conversation while working so it's not awkward. My bff was gorgeous! I loved the convenience of the app. The experience exceeded my expectations. I feel like she went out of her way to meet all my needs and set me up with an excellent stylist. Rose tried a couple different looks and two sets of lashes on me. while i love the idea of this and will likely continue to use it, the actual execution has been inconsistent, mostly from the standpoint of punctuality. i understand that parking is challenging in my neighborhood but that should be factored into the transit time. and telling me that you "work fast" and can make up the time isn't exactly what i want to hear when i still pay the same amount for hastily done work. part of the experience is being pampered at home where i'm comfortable and that doesn't exactly happen when i'm stressing about whether or not you're doing to show up (telling me you're "2 minutes" away then waiting 20-30 before you actually ring my bell) and then whether or not you're going to finish before i need to go. i've learned to be dressed with makeup done because i'm going to have to throw on shoes and dash before the hairspray is dry. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. I booked a hair stylist in San Francisco for my wedding reception to do my hair differently than the way that I had it for my cerony. I had already taken out my updo, and 5 PM rolled around when the stylist was supposed to be there, and I received a call stating that she was barely leaving San Jose (which is over an hour away). The cocktail reception was starting at 6 PM and my hair needed to be done, my second dress put on, and my make up reapplied. When she called she stayed at her wedding party had gone over, and it was so inconsiderate and upsetting to her the call when the person was supposed to be there. My hair was frizzy and a mess, and three of my bridal party members had to try to do what they could with it. Super disappointing. Will never book again. read more
