I came in frustrated because UPS had marked my package as delivered to this location, but Leanne was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. She actually took the time to pull up the UPS website herself, enter my tracking number, and show me that UPS was still reporting the package as not actually delivered--even though it was showing as delivered on my end. I honestly felt bad afterward because situations like this can make the business look responsible for something completely outside of their control. Leanne handled everything professionally and was genuinely sweet about it, even though I came in already upset. I may not have much need for printing services, but based on how I was treated, I would absolutely use Prismatix Ink as a pickup location for my packages in the future. Thank you, Leanne, for being so patient and helpful! read more

I really wish UPS would stop bringing my packages here as an access point. I have had to come here on many different occassions and each experience with them have been nothing but unpleasant. First, I have had packages that were opened and resealed. They claim it was delivered in that state and have nothing to do with it. Second, they claim no package has been received when UPS tracking clearly shows it as delivered to their location. The lady, Leanne, told me that they never received the package, its not their problem, and to file a claim with UPS. She came off as extremely rude and defensive which made me feel very uncomfortable. Lastly, they come up with some ridiculous excuse to make you make multiple trips to pick up your own packages. I don't see why you need to provide a utility bill or the UPS InfoNotice. A valid ID is all you need to pick up a package. Its like they need foot traffic or something. The whole establishment is extremely sus and should be avoided. Completely unorganized and unfriendly. I don't understand how a business can operate in such a manner. read more

I have been dealing with this company for over 10 years, and had nothing but a positive experience. I'm sorry for those who review them "lesser." They're a family owned business, that do their best. read more

Great people!! Great prices!! This mom and pop in shop is hard to miss since it's on the corner. They have some of the best prices in town if you want your printer ink refilled. The man in the front seems like he knows his stuff. Be a little patient because english isn't his first language but you'll get what you need by the time you leave. Parking is directly behind the business so you don't have to deal with the busy street traffic. read more

I would not recommend this establishment as some refills leak before use and not sure if they even tried to refill the others., because my others showed empty when I tried to use them in my Cannon printer. Not a reputable company at all, you're better off purchasing new replacement cartridges from EBAY or the manufacturer. I would give them zero stars if it were possible. I refilled 5 cartridges without any positive results. read more

Was denied my own package due to the fact that I recently moved to my new address and I had a nickname as my first name on the package but same last name. The owner was not interested in seeing a utility bill matching my new address citing that they were following UPS policy. UPS policy is as follows: "You'll need one of the following forms of identification to pick up your package at a UPS Access Point location: Option 1: Present a valid (current) government-issued photo identification. The last name and complete address (including suite, unit or apartment number, if applicable) on the identification must match the name and address of the consignee appearing on the UPS shipping label on the shipment. Option 2: Present a valid government-issued photo identification where the last name matches that of the package and a current utility bill (gas, hydro, phone or similar). The complete address on the utility bill must match the address that appears on the UPS shipping label of the shipment. Option 3: Present a valid government-issued photo identification along with your shipper-provided package release code.*" I am hoping the owner sees this and follows UPS guidance allowing customers to get their own packages. Mine has since been sent back to the merchant and I have no way of getting it back. read more

Service is garbage and their facility is FILTHY! They are also thieves that refuse to give patrons the packages that rightfully belong to them. The woman that works there is miserable and they have a dog in the office which is non-compliant with the services rendered. I will not stop until they are no longer in business. read more

Prismatix Ink - Office Equipment Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I work for a venture, even as a small company, we go through ALOT of ink cartridges due to the nature of our work. It's not cheap either, at around $40 for a 2 pack(standard HP cartridge) it add up quickly with all the printers we are running. After some googling I ran in to this place. Prismatix Ink Unlike most ink refill places using manual injections, Prismatix uses a computerized refill machine. The cartridges were ready in one business day and none of that mess from the injection refill crap. Just replaced 2 cartridges today, its working like a charm. Should be able to cut ALOT from the office supply budget,..made my day!! Cant believe we've been selling using cartridges to Staples for freakin $3........ read more

Helpful and explained the process to have ink refilled. Pricing was fair and affordable. You can also buy printer ink in location I believe and staff answered all questions. read more

I still really like this place but have figured out they they base their prices on the name-brand, non-discounted retail price of a new ink cartridge or toner. I took my printer toner cartridge to be refilled and the price quoted was twice what I could get a compatible toner on Amazon or eBay....and yes, for the same page count. I even showed the man there the listings on eBay but his price remained the same. I will continue to take ink cartridges there, but for toner, it's just way too expensive. Before you go, look at the non-discounted retail price of brand-name toner, divide it by two, and you'll get a really good idea of the cost to refill at Prismatix Ink. read more

Ive been coming here for a year and so far i havent had any issue or problem. The price is cheaper than others and the quality ink they use is good quality. And its also fast! About 10-15 min. Its done. Parking is at the rear side of the store, the only thing that is not good is they dont have restroom. So if u need to use the restroom while waiting, you have to go to cvs across the street. They accept cash and credit card so its convenient. read more

In my quest to get my HP cartridges refilled I stumbled upon Prismatix . In total I spent about $45 with tax versus about $70 for new cartridges at Staples. Will be cheaper next time since I had to buy new color cartridges, my old ones were refilled using non-HP cartridges. I believe your cartridges have to be genuine to be refilled (I would call ahead & ask). The staff was polite & after 10 minutes my cartridges were ready. After installing them back in my printer I did have an issue with the black ink but was able to get it to work (printer head clean). I called Prismatix before solving my problem & they suggested I bring them the printer for diagnosing (kind gesture). I would suggest they handout a list of common issues to avoid unnecessary visits. Overall I'm a happy camper. read more

Prismatix Ink - My refilled cartridges working perfectly. - Office Equipment Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I took my ink cartridges here to refill just to give it a try due to the pricing. 15$ per refill. Sounds reasonable but in my opinion is not worth it. It's a huge waste of money and time! They don't really refill fully. They refill based on weight not cartridge so you get less printed then if you were to buy it on eBay or anywhere else. And it tends to bleed out a lot. So you lose more ink. Also it's been disappointing waste of time when you take it to the printer and it doesn't work, so it makes you go back to get a exchange or refund. They do store credit or half refund and not a full refund. Not good business practice. You lose customers this way... read more

Amazing local place. To replace my printer cartridge it would cost me $44, this place just refills for $10+tax. Will be coming back here time and time again read more

I hope UPS finds a different access point in the area. My wife came here to pick up a package and they wouldn't give it to her because they said her name wasn't on the shipping label. That's fine. But when I came a few days later, they wouldn't give me the package either. I was able to get a look at the label, and it was in fact addressed to my wife. She had to come back a second time to claim the package. So it took three visits by two people just to pick up a package. It shouldn't be this complicated. read more

Don't go here expecting good business here. They want to waste your time and make you as irritated as you possibly could be try to retrieve a package that your ordered and already missed because you weren't home. Don't waste your time, change your pickup to another location! read more

Great place, very helpful with what I was looking for. Will continue to come back here for all my ink cartridge needs.

I called ahead and spoke with Leann. We discussed the printing performance with my HP 60 ink cartridges. I was getting streaking and messy patterns with my printer indicating a half-full black and color cartridge. We had a delightful conversation and I took note of her recommendations for my next office printer. Before I knew it, her father had finished refilling both of my ink cartridges. Back at the office, the print quality was outstanding following an alignment and print head cleaning. Staples and Office Depot are going to be hard-pressed to beat Prismatix Ink's service and price. read more

Told me that it would be done in a couple of hours. It was done 3 days later. I dropped off 4 cartridges and by the next day they had done only 1. I really needed something so I went to pick it up and then went back 2 days later for the rest. In summary, 3 trips to this place due to their poor timing. Also, I told them when I came back that the cartridge I had picked up two days before seemed to be already low on ink and they told me that it was normal and I just needed to calibrate the printer. I did and nothing changed. The ink was done three times faster than a new ink. My ink brand new on Amazon is $18. They charged me $10. I saved $8 on each cartridge and had to take 3 trips to this place and the ink barely even lasted. Not worth it. read more

Earth-conscious, great service, super cheap! Took 20 minutes. Spent $10 on Lexmark black 17 ink and $13 on color 27. They've got a great poster on why you should refill cartridges (did you know it costs a GALLON of oil to manufactor a new ink cartridge?) and they promise to plant a tree for every cartridge you bring into them to recycle. Don't go to Staples, Kinko's, or anywhere else! This place has all you need. read more

Seriously, I hate this place like I hate the DMV...i called before i went to confirm they could refill my cartridges because they are photo cartridges and require special ink. I was told by someone who clearly doesn't speak a lick of english it was doable and to come in... I wasted my entire lunch hour to drive from Hollywood to here, only to find out they had neither the ink nor the equipment to do the refill...seriously I want the hour of my life back, and I can guarantee no matter what I will never do any business with this ramshackle shop of theirs...wish I had zero stars but clearly yelp won't let that happen... read more

I have an (apparently) rarer type of ink cartridge for my computer (Canon 20xl) and it was hard to fins places to refill it (Walgreens won't). I went online to just buy a new one, but then I found Prismatix. They filled the cartridge for only $13 and it was done in less than 10 mins. Looks like I found my place to refill ink from now on. Added bonus: the staff is very friendly! Will go back; highly recommend!! read more

Called in for a quote and for just $10 I got my HP 61 ink cartridge refilled. Will definitely go again. The color refill would have been $15. read more

I've been to this business a few times now to purchase ink for my home printer and I've been kindly helped and my printer is doing just fine. I have absolutely no complains, and the prices are reasonable as well. Definitely will be going here again to refill my ink cartridges. My ink cartridges ran out and I print things constantly so I was desperate to find a place to refill my ink cartridges that would be cheap and good quality and thus I found Prismatix. They got my ink cartridge refilled super quick and the printer works flawless now. I wish this place had more things nearby though. I had to wait for 15 minutes and there weren't any stores really to go look around in to pass the time. read more

Make sure they give you a receipt because you will need it when you try to return their leaking cartridges. Ruined my printer when they leaked. I tried to return them immediately but could not find the receipt. The same person was working but told me they could do nothing. They use poor quality tanks. Don't end up needing a new printer to save a buck. Go elsewhere. I am sure they did not give me my receipt either. I hand on to all my receipts until I am sure I will not need them. Buyer beware, this place is shady. read more

Never again taking my cartridge. Got the cartridges leaking . Even after she explained that it's suppose to happen i still didn't take her story. Go to Costco better. After being told that my Canon ink cartridges could not be refilled at another store (123 Refills), Prismatix Ink bestowed upon me a miracle: refilled ink cartridges! Quick, cheap, and quality. Highly recommend--especially if you care about the environment (i.e. reducing waste) and saving money. Again, steer clear of 123 Refills in downtown LA on S. Olive St./W. 7th St. They may try to upsell you on new ink and claim your cartridges are impossible to refill. read more

I pick up UPS packages from here and there is this old, and grumpy man with an attitude who has no clue and every time I'm there he brings someone else's packages. At first I did not bother to check the name carefully and ended up going back. All I said was to double check so that I won't make two trips and he screamed at me and started cussing. I screamed at him to stop, took my package and left. He then followed me to the parking lot continuously screaming and yelling. I think because of the covid he was really stressed and unlucky for me I kicked the hornets nest. If he's ignorant and have no clue, he shouldn't be accepting carrier packages. I usually do not write bad reviews and I am a nice person especially to the elders but I could not just sit there and listen to his bad attitude. He should not be in business or someone needs to teach him manners towards customers. I will not be going back there EVER!!!! nor choosing them as UPS access point to forward my packages, NEVER!!! read more

I've found my new source for printer cartridges! For the price of one cartridge from Staples of Office Depot, I filled 3 three black ink cartridges! The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. I was also impressed by their honesty, when they gave me advice about my cartridges that it wasn't in their economic interest to give me. I've been ordering printer cartridges from the internet, but lately my experiences have been disastrous. These guys are an excellent option for anyone sick of rolling the dice on internet re-sellers or paying sky-high retail prices. I highly recommend them!!! read more

Wow! You wouldn't think it possible to get excited about an ink place, but this place is fantastic! I brought in a spent ink cartridge from my HP. The man tested it on their machine. The cartridge was good, so he handed me an already filled replacement. After a few words on their process, which is all computer controlled, I paid, and I left. Printouts look great, just like a new cartridge from Staples, but half the price with half the hassle! This is the type of mom and pop business that NEEDS to succeed. Hopefully, they get enough business to stay open. read more

I visited Prismatix because it's on the way to my office in Koreatown. Before stopping by, I priced brand new toner cartridges. The kind I potentially wanted to have re-filled, a Brother TN-450, was available from Amazon brand new for $46.00 (with free shipping if you're an Amazon Prime member). Prismatix quoted me $40 for a refill that is not factory warranted and voids the warranty on the printer. I asked why their price was so comparatively high, and they wrongly insisted that I had mistakenly priced the lower-volume TN-420. I am well aware of the distinction, and their assertion was simply wrong. So, I challenged them to price the TN-450 on Amazon Dot Com then and there. When they did, and found that I was correct, they responded evasively by stating that if I check the manufacturer's on-line price -- what?! -- their discount would become more apparent. When I would pay essentially the same amount on a refill rather than a brand new unit from a very easy-to-use, reputable retailer -- especially when the new unit is warranted by the manufacturer and doesn't void the warranty on the printer -- the lady sneered, "Well, that's up to you." In essence, she had no answer. What bothers me most about this place was the worker's snide, dismissive attitude, coupled with the insinuation that my facts were wrong when in fact I was quite accurate. They were just unable to justify their unreasonable price. Printer companies routinely screw consumers on toner cartridges. I find that exploitative and offensive. That widespread practice should create great opportunities for motivated cartridge re-fill companies, but this place just doesn't cut it. If their prices can't compete with BRAND NEW UNIT PRICES, they are missing the opportunity that the market gives them. read more
