We stopped by Prisco's for the first time today to get some propane for our new grille, and we were pleasantly surprised when we walked in to see all they had to offer. There was not only a full deli/kitchen but a ton of retro candy, gifts, signs, memorabilia, beer/seltzer, lottery, I could go on and on. As we drove in we had seen a sign for the "best meatballs around," so we grabbed a container of those from the deli and went to check out. The owner Steve rang us up and as he did he gave us the history of Prisco's and of his family, and that was pretty cool considering most places just ring you up and barely say a word. He was very down to earth and friendly and even showed us around some more. They have mini golf, batting cages, picnic tables to eat if you want to order yourself one of their pizzas, an ice cream shoppe, and more. This place is definitely a hidden gem and owned by some really great, local people. It's nice to be able to support a local small business these days and we will absolutely be back. My 4-year old son and I were verbally assaulted by the owner for touching a few toys. Blaming us for broken merchandise and calling me a lousy parent. We did not break anything and my son even apologized. Reasoning with this belligerent SHOUTING man was useless. Having a bad day at work does not mean taking it out on customers. Fun lunch stop with lots of kitschy gifts and things to do. We had the Reuben, a Buffalo chicken sandwich and a couple of hot dogs; all good. Lots of sodas to choose from but no juice or bottled water (though the owner was happy to fill up my water bottle from the tap). Great place! read more

Super cool place. I was just going there to get a quick sandwich with my son who was starving after his hockey game and neither of us wanted to leave. Besides having good food (and there is a lot of that) it has wall to wall retro paraphernalia/memorabilia, candy, toys, signs, pictures, etc. As soon as you start looking around you will be drifting back to your childhood. My son was fascinated by all the non electronic stuff that kept us entertained when we were his age. I bought several packs of Bubble Yum which I recently told my kids they would never get a chance to taste because it doesn't exit anymore. But at Prisco's, time stands still. read more

We ordered a bunch of food for a 50 person tailgate and not only was there plenty of food due to the generous portions but the food was awesome! The meatballs were amazing and several people commented on how delicious they were! After seeing Prisco's on the Phantom Gourmet, I was excited to try the place out, thought it would be a nice end of summer thing to do with my grandson. Upon arrival we see the ice cream shop right off the main road and to the side, a little gravel road that leads to the deli shop, batting cages and mini golf set in the back. We arrived right at noontime so we decided to grab lunch at the deli first and on the way out we will try the ice cream shop. The outside of the deli/store is very pretty, lots of usual items lying around the front porch but there is no visible price tags, so not sure if any of these items were for sale. Once inside (door open) we see an open area with tables, set in the back was the kitchen and counter to order food. At this time it seems we were the only customers in the building. We were greeted at the counter by the wife (recognized her from the video). Our order: The Caesar salad, with grilled chicken added, for my son and the Buffalo chicken wrap for my grandson. My friend ordered the small Venice and I the large Parma. I asked about drinks and the wife directed me to a refrigerator in the front corner of the store. There I find an array of odd flavored sodas. I go back to the counter expecting to pay at this point but the wife and (I assume her teenage son) are in the back getting busy filling our order. During the wait for our cold food, we walked around the store. I can say this place is Sensory Overload; the amount of stuff is overwhelming. Many of the items were not priced and the few that I found with a stickers or written in price next to the, made in China label, were way overpriced. We saw baskets and baskets of random candy but nothing that you can't find anywhere else. My friend noticed some of the candy SBD was way past the expiration. One package of candy expired in 2014, so clearly they do not clean out their old stock very often. After about 15 minutes of walking around, we sat to wait for our food. Around 10 minutes later the wife brought our order to the table. I immediately notice my sandwich looked pretty flat but I was very hungry (I ordered a large and my eyes are always bigger than my stomach) so I grabbed one half and started eating. Just after a few bites I had to stop since the sandwich was so dry. Note, the Parma sandwich is listed to have: prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, basil & olive oil. I didn't taste any basil and I was wondering if they forgot to add the olive oil. I opened the half that I was eating along with the half I had not yet touched. The ratio of meat was fine, there were just a few little torn pieces of mozzarella and three brown shrivels up pieces of basil. I stopped eating at that a point. My friend said her sandwich was fine but nothing great. My grandson said his wrap was okay. Also during this time, since the door was open, Kamikaze flies were diving at our food. I wondered how do they keep these flies away from the deli meat? While shooing away the flies so my son could eat in piece, I took good a look at his Caesar salad. The romaine lettuce looked old, dry and dirty, largely cut leafs with brown edging and the croutons were over sized. Clearly they use these to help camouflage the lack of grilled chicken they actually put in the salad. I decided to just throw the rest away. The owner's teenage son was waiting at the counter, I asked if there was a trash barrel and he said no, he would take our trash. I Brought over our trash and showed him the basil that was in my sandwich and said you seriously cannot serve this to people. He became very quiet, his mother must have heard and she told him to remove the cost of my sandwich. I thanked them for honoring that. I listed off to him what we ordered and paid for the remaining. I then asked him how or where do you pay for the mini golf and batting cages. He said I could pay there or over at the field. I decided to pay over at the field, so we left the building to head over. As we walk around to the back of the building we see the son jump into a golf cart and raced past us to the field building. We laughed and said "Talk about multi tasking", we felt like we were in the Caddy shack movie. The mini golf and batting cages were well maintained and beautifully landscaped but boring all the same. On the way out we stopped at the ice cream shop. Prices were fair and the servings large. But sadly the taste of the ice cream was nothing to celebrate. Overall very disappointed and will never go back. The few people working between each building were polite and friendly but clearly the place is very poorly managed and disorganized. It seems to me, they are not prepared or know how to handle more than a few customers at a time. Also, they must have friends in high places (many five star reviews) because the quality of the food, how it was prepared, the flies, expired food items being sold. I think the health department owes this place a visit. read more

OMG what a hidden gem off Rt. 18 in Bridgewater! My wife and I lived in the area for over 3 years before we saw Prisco's featured on Phantom Gourmet. Even now before the batting cages and mini golf opens you won't be disappointed. Owners Steve and Nancy are very welcoming and down to earth. The general store literally has a bit of everything; from sports memorabilia, hard to find sodas, decorative items (check out the signs on the walls), frozen food and new age to an incredible selection of new and old time sweets that are guaranteed to make you "the kid in the candy store" again. Then there is the food! Nice selection of fresh hot and cold sandwiches and wood fired pizza to enjoy. And don't forget Steve's delicious and locally famous meatballs! Prisco's is not a fast food location. Go for the personality! Laid back family fun where you can have some great food, conversation and entertainment. read more

Don't how anyone could give this place a 5 star review??? Very inconvenient to even access, set way back off the road. Thought I'd try the meatball sub, seeing how they're are mixed reviews on it. The market has many great selections for food, treats and other household items. It is a little confusing at times because they offer so much. I have been there twice; once for homemade meatballs which were delicious yet extremely pricy. Also ordered a salad there on a separate occasion. The salad served about 10 people tops and cost $35! I didn't know the price in advance. I figured how much could a salad cost (no meat or olives). The owner is nice but very pushy and too salesman like. read more

I went to play mini golf and I was surprised what a hidden gem I found. The mini golf is set back so it wasn't visible from the street. The golf course was well maintained. The employees very friendly and helpful. The price was very reasonable. The holes had a nice balance of challenges. The place was very clean. There are basketball hoops and batting cages. I can't wait to go back for another round of mini golf. I plan on trying their sandwich shop and ice cream on my next visit. They had a cute outdoor area that you could have a birthday party. They have a ton of landscaping stuff. The store has a little bit of everything from retro To modern items. They had old fashioned candy and nostalgic tonic drinks in glass bottles. Perfect place to buy gifts they have something for everyone. The prices seemed fair for the items. There is plenty of parking. The mini golf course is handicap accessible. It really is perfect for a wheelchair. The bathrooms are porta potties. This is a great place for a family with kids. This is also a fabulous fun place for a date. read more

I really like Priscos. My husband is in love. We go a lot for the sandwich counter. I love all different things, hubbs likes the hot blondie. I like that the meat is cut fresh and sandwiches are made to order. A little expensive but I like to help the local, small business. I do agree with another review that there's so much stuff that it gets to be confusing. Cut out the knock knacks and just have a deli with the meat counter and groceries. I can't imagine the other random stuff actually sells. Owner is nice. Don't think he's too "salesmen", but an owner trying to show his product. I DON'T like that he answered his cell phone while I was standing there ready to order my lunch. Should have waited on me or went out back to answer the phone, not had a full on conversation right in front of me. read more

Talk about a diamond in the rough (almost literally). Look for the huge sign on rte 18 and follow the dirt road about 200 yds back. In addition to an amazing farmer's market with more unique items than you'd believe they have a great deli and lunch counter. Bread was super fresh and meatballs were some of the best I've had in a long time. A guy who I think was the owner clearly takes a lot of pride in the place and it shows. I didn't really pay much attention to the nursery stuff but they seemed to have a decent inventory. read more

So, I've been in Middleboro for about 18 years now and heard a few times about the meatballs at Prisco's. Finally tried them and am so happy I did. Best meatball. In this area. No question about it.
