When my daughter first came she was nervous about being measured but that went away quickly. The staff helped her feel more comfortable quickly and she found two things to take with us. Recently I went back for bras for myself and they had to order a couple. When they came I went to pick them up, tried them on and the woman fitting me put darts in the bra at no additional cost. She was condescending and proceeded to tell me they don't take back things without tags and I said well I cut the tags off and washed them and went to put on and they tore. She huffed and then went to find another pair as if I was the greatest inconvenience ever. And then as she does the exchange she continues on with her condescending tone and says (as if to make sure I never ever do this again...now mind you the stores product tore with normal use and I just drove 40 minutes one way to return them) that they will not take items back that don't have a tag but because it's defective she will. The whole episode was so off putting that I don't think I will ever return. It's a shame because my first encounter was so lovely and she was so helpful. This second lady shouldn't be working in retail if she feels the need to treat someone who obviously spent almost $200 just a few days earlier like that. Very disappointing.

While browsing, my husband lightly touched one of the display covers. Out of nowhere, an associate named Wes yelled across the store, "EXCUSE ME, YOUNG MAN!" in a sharp, scolding tone. We were both startled because there was no clear reason to address anyone that way. My husband is a grown adult, and the way Wes spoke to him made it seem like he had mistaken him for a much younger person, which still would not justify such an abrupt and disrespectful approach. When we walked over to ask what the issue was, he avoided eye contact, muttered something under his breath, and then told us that if we didn't like it, we could leave. As someone who has worked in customer service for many years, I was shocked. A simple, calm explanation would have been completely appropriate. We genuinely enjoy shopping at Dillard's, but this encounter made us feel disrespected and unwelcome. We would have appreciated any form of clarification or an apology, but none was offered. It is disappointing to see someone so abrasive, unprofessional and confrontational representing a store we both enjoyed for many years.
