Cool place for extremely great shape vintage clothing! I walked in here on a stroll down Castle Street and was blown away by the quality. My clothes get messed up after one use. I can't believe how well kept these were from the 70's. Proving is not cheap (which it shouldn't be). I felt like I was in a different era and was really enjoying looking at the clothing. They have hats, jewelry, women's and mens clothing and everything is dated from the year or era it is from. The girl working there was very nice and helpful. I didn't end up purchasing anything but if you are in the market for some authentic 70's attire this is your place. Do not get this confused for a cheap second hand store though. read more

This place will not receive my business again. I bought this green sweater from here last week for $45. After wearing it one time I discovered the SHEIN tag on the inside. Lmao. The tag the store had put on it said it was from the 1970's era and "extremely vintage." Completely scammed. This sweater is $10 on SHEIN. They also wouldn't give me my money back only store credit. Why would I want to buy anything else from here? Who knows if anything in there is actually vintage or all ordered from SHEIN and labeled from different decades. Asked owner for a refund on a gift card. Explained to her that my daughter's boyfriend bought it for her when he had no business doing so. He is broke and would be homeless if not for me. I absolutely love to write stellar reviews on local businesses. Second Skin Vintage gives me an opportunity to do just that. I have come to know and love this boutique by attending the I Love Vintage Club monthly meetings. If you don't know about this group, you are missing out on some very interesting history lessons centered around fashion. Karyn, the business owner, is a great hostess. On the first Tuesday of each month from 5-7, she features a program, light snacks and wine (her homemade hummus is to die for), and 15% off of merchandise. Her sales associate, Abby, is personable and kind as well. I always enjoy seeing what they are wearing, and they both always look amazing. The boutique features clothing from the forties through the nineties, as well as accessories. The merchandise is high quality and fairly priced. There is also information on the label of any repairs made to the garment. So, I highly encourage you to check this place out. If history class was this interesting when I was in high school, I would have definitely paid more attention! read more

Second Skin Vintage is hands down the best vintage shop I have ever been to, and I frequent vintage clothing shops! To say Second Skin does nothing for its community is asinine hogwash. I have personally attended several of their presentations and workshops. As a LGBT+ member of the community, I feel safe in Second Skin Vintage because they have gone out of their way to make us feel welcome. Further, as someone who frequents vintage clothing shops, their selection most definitely does NOT belong in a donations bin. It is clearly very carefully collected, and as a fan and wearer of vintage clothing I appreciate it. I wear a pair of high-waisted jean shorts that I bought from Second Skin all the time! And as a thick and curvy lady, it is VERY hard to find clothing that fits well at most clothing stores, let alone vintage clothing stores. I could not recommend making a visit to Second Skin ENOUGH.
