I've only used the gym and the pool so my review is specific only to those facilities…read more The pool is a little chilly, as others have said, however it isn't a spa pool, it's a swimming pool, so it's going to be chilly and the point is that you swim to warm up. The pool area and changing rooms are broadly clean, with enough locker space. The gym is pretty well equipped, but at its busy times you will struggle to find usable machines and equipment. The users aren't very good at replacing equipment so you can spend a while looking around for certain weights. And the rules regarding not taking in coats and bags aren't enforced, so finding mat space, for example, can become difficult and you end up having to shove some strangers bag to the side because you can't find the owner. Without wanting to sound like I'm young-person-bashing, the after school groups seem to use the gym more as a hang-out, and people of all ages don't seem to have developed the gym etiquette you find in other places regarding being sat on equipment looking at your phone for prolonged periods, denying the equipment to others. The student groups also tend to leave a lot of their belongings scattered in the changing rooms instead of using the lockers which are plentiful. The staff are very friendly, but it would be preferable if they enforced some of the rules & policies. And as a minor criticism I'd prefer lockers you can padlock instead of needing a £1 coin. Overall, it's fine if you're not a core-hours user - it would definitely be better if the policies were enforced, but if you're someone trying to do some exercise after work, particularly in term-time, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

My biggest complaint would be the swimming pool changing rooms which are way too hot. Also there is occassionally a problem with the heating of the learner pool, but when you complain you get told that it is within regulations. When childrens lips are going blue in the lessons, I would say it is too cold despite what the regulations say.

They also can host parties, and there is a group for children with fun days out at gatton where they can find moths/ pond dip. The staff and gardeners are really friendly and helpful. The staff who I believe own the shop are amoung the most friendly and helpful I have ever met. if they don't have what you need in stock i'm sure they would be more than happy to order it in for you. It is not like those trendy new sports shops where you can't get the right equipment that you need for playing a game of football. The re is a selection of boots, mainly Joma, for which it is an official supplier. You can buy pads, balls, dubbin, and a wide selection of training equipment such as cones and bibs. The owners of the store always greet me with a friendly enquiry and questions about my forthcoming match (I tend to pop in there when I need something just before my match). They are extremely friendly and positive and I would firmly recommend buying from this friendly small store.

It also holds archery shoots and has an on site bowls green. At other times of the year it has fun days, football tournaments and firework displays. The club house has recently been decorated and now looks clean, fresh and tidy. The club house has a fully licenced bar that is open 7 days a week. It also host regular events for example various dance classes 4 nights a week. The dance hall is avaliable for hire to the general public to hold thing like wedding receptions and birthdays in. Christmas and New year parties are also held every year.

There are many happy memories for me of that place! It's main foundation is a youth club, to give kids somewhere to go. There is an outdoor concrete five a side football facility, indoor climbing frame and trampoline. I used to love mucking around on the climbing frame. There is also a small pitch with mats down that I used to spend ages on, making spectacular saves! As an adult the main facilities to be used are the Judo and karate clubs. The judo club is well established and holds sessions on a Wednesday and Friday evenings. Judo is a great sport, which teaches many things, and provides an excellent workout. As a former member I would definitely say that it is particuarly worth going down there as they cater for all abilities in a welcoming, friendly manner.

I took my son to a childs party there recently and was amazed at all the stuff they had there. The hall had loads of inflatables and a large trampoline, and the room next door had so much space for the kids to eat. Also a great bar area for the parents to sit and have a natter!!
