After reading the reviews everything is starting to make sense. I had Brandon come out to my property on June 22nd to give me an estimate on a new damper for my chimney. While Brandon came off as willing to work with me, then end result was not good. Brandon offered a significant less estimate than a previous company so I took Brandon up on his offer. He then expected a down payment, but I told him at the moment that I only had credit card. He then told me that his wife had paypal. I told him I could pay the down payment through that since it takes a credit card. After Brandon confirmed with his wife that I could send the down payment via paypal I did. Brandon came back to my house unexpectedly to make sure that I was committed and also told me that I needed to hit a confirmation button on the transaction. Brandon then came back to my house a 3rd time unexpectedly to drop off business cards. Two days later Brandon send me a text saying he could give me a HUGE discount if I paid for the total job upfront. At that point, I was leery and told Brandon that we needed to wait until the parts came in, especially since I need to save up. He said he understood. That was the last that I heard from Brandon. I sent Brandon multiple text messages at the end of July and did not hear back. At that point, I was ready to cancel and e-mailed BOTH Brandon and his wife asking for a refund of the down payment that I made on paypal since they appeared as though they were not committed to the job. They did not reply. It was as if they disappeared off the face of the Earth. I then attempted to call and it said that the line was no longer in service. Luckily, I was able to contact paypal and was able to get refunded after submitting a claim against Brandon's wife. I won the claim based on the fact that Brandon's wife did not respond to the complaint on paypal. I have since found a good chimney service and got an even better deal. I was very lucky that this all worked out and that I did get my money back. Bottom line is that I think that Brandon was attempting to scam me, collect as much $$ as he could, and then bolt. Hired these guys to inspect and clean my chimney. They did a good job on it and found some potential issues and suggested I needed to either repair or replace with a gas log fireplace. I decided to go ahead with a gas log order. I made a deposit to order the parts. Two days later after getting some advice from our realtor I realized it was better to leave the fireplace untouched and called and asked Brandon if he could please cancel the order and refund the portion of the money I paid towards a deposit. He indicated he would cancel the order and take a look at the refund. That was a month ago. I've called and emailed and asked multiple times and have heard nothing. I paid $169 for the chimney service and a $151 deposit that I'm still waiting to be refunded. Without this, I'd give them 5 stars. He offered a two hour window and said he would do his best to arrive within the first hour. On the morning of, there was a scheduling mixup and he asked us to reschedule and provided a discount for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, we were unable to accommodate the new time and he made it work. And he arrived at the start of the original window he gave me which never happens. Brandon was knowledgeable and walked through everything that he did. He pointed out a few items that needed to be resealed and did it for a good price. Brandon came out initially to do a chimney sweep, which by the way, he was priced significantly lower then others I received quotes from. While on the roof he noticed the previous home owners had put the wrong type of cap on our furnace exhaust. It was open to animals getting in and was rusting so badly that the rust was all over the pipe and newer roof shingles. We had him back to fix this a couple weeks later. He cleaned up the rust, painted the exhaust pipe and put on the correct cap. Would highly recommend! read more

Awesome company and service! I needed my chimney swept pretty quickly so I came onto yelp and reached out to 5 different companies all at once through their "request a quote" function. Within minutes Brandon and his company was the first to reply almost immediately. He said he just happened to be in the neighborhood (4 min away) gave me an awesome price quote and would absolutely be able to meet that day. I was thrilled because I thought it might take a few days to get someone out to my place, but Brandon really accommodated and helped me out on this one. He and his crew showed up an hour later, put down mats to keep my condo clean, inspected the flue and box, swept the chimney all the way up to the top and throughly cleaned the entire fireplace. He also went above and beyond by giving me some advice on how to keep my fireplace safe and what maintenance to do to keep everything working properly for the future. They did a great job and were in and out in less than an hour. In fact from point of first contact through the "request a quote" to the time they finished cleaning it was a little over 2 hours (hard to find that level of service anywhere). UPDATE: We began using our fireplace for the winter, which the gas fireplace was installed earlier this year, and found the flame was only strong on one side and was burning the logs. We called them in to check it out, which they did. They didn't find any problems and provided some troubleshooting tips and to let them know if it happens again. The reason this was downgraded to a 1 star is that the same exact issues came back and the troubleshooting tips were not effective. I have been calling and leaving messages almost every week this month, including each day this week, and have not heard back from them. The issue has grown worse than ever and a log is cracked on the side where the flame was too strong. I would understand a couple days or even a week of not getting a call back, but it is unnacceptable when there is not even an attempted call back after multiple weeks of contacting them. read more
