Delicious food, but think twice if you are concerned about cleanliness and food safety. We sat behind the food prep area where we watched the food handler (I wouldn't call him a chef, although he did steel his knife regularly) touch not only all of the food with his bare hands, but also gave two high fives, touched dirty, used dishes, touched his nose and lick his fingers, went from opening oysters to scooping out the raw, pre-chopped beef with his hands, wiped his hands in his tunic then his jeans, ate food with his fingers from the prepped food, wiped his nose on the back of his hands, and touched the cash machine computer screen - all without ever washing his hands. Seriously, it was pretty unhygienic - perhaps they are not so fastidious in Amsterdam about food safety. That said, the meal was good if overpriced, but I wish I hadn't sat in the back. Also concerning is the pre-chopped meat - shouldn't it be freshly prepared. read more
