I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in a long time at the UPS Store on FM…read more1463 in Katy. I stopped in to return a few Amazon packages. As soon as I walked through the door, I could hear employees loudly using profanity, including repeated F-bombs and other inappropriate language. I asked the employee helping me if that kind of language was acceptable in the store, and he simply replied, "It's accepted nowadays." While I was emailing my return label, another employee, who identified himself as the owner, became noticeably impatient and short with me. One of my Amazon returns was still inside its original packaging. He opened the package, handed me the discarded packaging, and expected me to take it. I walked over and placed it in the trash can near the front door. At that point, I tried to de-escalate the situation by saying, "Let's start over. I think we got off on the wrong foot." Instead of calming things down, he continued with the same attitude. He then told me he was going to charge me to tape the box and ultimately charged me for three separate items related to returning my Amazon package. I paid the charges because I just wanted to leave and avoid any further confrontation. I've worked in customer service for many years, and I understand that difficult interactions happen. However, there is no excuse for employees openly using profanity around customers or for an owner to treat someone with such disrespect when they're simply trying to complete a return. It left me with the impression that he believes he's above accountability. Unfortunately, this was an experience I won't forget, and I won't be returning to this location.

Have you ever seen a FedEx Shipping Office Center inside a Walmart? Neither have I. I'm mindblown!…read moreSo if you've been driving around the parking lot looking for this place, it's inside the Walmart. LOL When you walk in, depending on what entrance you choose.. immediately turn left or right. The office is in front of all the check out registers. The office is smaller than your typical FedEx but that's okay. I really don't think anyone in the area is aware of this location because it was DEAD. I got in and was out within two minutes. Not bad, right? Hours are a bit shorter than normal FedEx shipping offices, closing at 6pm instead of 9pm.. that's three hours earlier than normal locations. Shipping supplies are limited so be prepared to bring your own box. A good and much needed addition to the Morton Ranch/Katy area!

This location is almost always packed with people dropping off packages and Amazon returns. During…read moreweekend or peak times (around holidays, for example) the line wraps around the inside of the small store and sometimes spills out into the sidewalk. There are always at least two or three workers directly assisting customers and a few more packaging boxes off to the side and in the back. They seem to be working hard each time we go in and they always seem to be busy, so I try to be as patient as possible when coming in. I don't think they can control the Amazon return requirements so it doesn't make sense to get mad at them for those rules. I am not sure how much boxes and tape costs there, but they do provide it the service there you need it. The parking in this area isn't the best because it's so crowded all of the time in this complex- and the construction on the roads doesn't help.

The self-service scanner seems to operate on its own unpredictable schedule, and when the drop-off bin is full or mysteriously closed, there are absolutely no signs or guidance on what to do next. The employees? Let's just say customer service doesn't appear to be in their job description. Their attitude ranges from indifferent to downright rude, as if helping customers is an inconvenience rather than, well, their job.
