I've taken various friends with me over the years. With COVID this year, you weren't allowed to bring your own bucket, but this was ok because I usually buy their boxes anyway. I like that I can use them and recycle them. Earlier this week, I spent about 2 hours picking strawberries and walked out with about 17 pounds. I was able to make jam & jelly, as well as save some berries to go with strawberry shortcake. The prices are reasonable at $2.95/pound for pick your own and $5.75/container of pre-picked berries.

Corn maze was fun and luckily not filled with crazies even close to halloween time. Ordered 2 hot ciders, a soft pretzel, a slice of pumpkin pie and an apple dumpling. The honest answer is NOTHING! It was ironically dead this year and VERY underwhelming. Felt taken advantage of and won't be back. Save your money and go elsewhere for a much better experience. I can understand charging an adult $3-5 each but a family of five was $70 and includes NOTHING! Buyer Beware

It's wonderful to see this pretty landscaping not far from a fairly busy road. Do yourself a favor and visit them sometime. What a gem!

Conveniently located (for me lol) and had a lot of parking, although they closed the lot after I came in which was weird. I went around lunch time and was able to be home within an hour! Please do this event more often!! I tried the following: AJ's Cheesesteaks - I've heard so much about how they're some of the best cheesesteaks in the area. The product was definitely quality and the bread was good, but all I could taste was the butter they put all over the bun, no cheese or steak flavor. The sandwich was also kind of small. I would try it again sometime, especially the fries, but tbh Penn Station is better for me. Fusako - I was really excited to try this truck. I guess the signature item was the wings or the hotdog, which sounded great but too heavy for me. I tried the street corn gyoza and it was $10 for 4 gyoza with some canned corn and mayo topping and regular dumplings...? I didn't get it. Shaken up Lemonade - I appreciated that this lemonade was not super sweet and it was a large portion. Refreshing! Naughty Lobster - The sandwich was good, I just got a plain one instead of experimenting. I think it's better than the corporate lobster truck that comes around here sometimes. Just be aware that the guy on the truck hits on everyone, regardless of gender or age, as part of the shtick. (: Looking forward to attending this event next time and hoping for more like it!

The food is all homemade the week of the festival, including bratwurst, sauerkraut, potato salad, Limburger cheese (ekk, acquired taste there!!), cream puffs, sauerkraut balls, and cabbage rolls. My personal favorites are the last two listed. Like all Oktoberfest celebrations, there is a ton of beer and live bands singing German and "Germanized" versions of popular American music. But this festival also has Jägermeister and wine booths, tons of kids rides and games, and the keg-tapping of an authentic wooden keg from Munich. You will meet some of the most interesting people here with life stories to last weeks. I met a Yugoslavian man who was in concentration camps under Hitler when he was a boy. Great place to go with a large group of friends for a fill of German heritage without having to go all the way to Cincinnati.

They had some carnival rids available for the kids and if you live in the area the even shares a parking lot with the community pool. Visited in the afternoon shortly after the festival started up for the day and it wasn't too busy at all. Though I was following the festivals social media post I didn't know the schedule of events. Having this information before hand would have been useful for attending around a band, demonstration or speed trivia that was scheduled. Each of the food items I sampled were good including the fried ravioli, arancini, cannoli and limoncello marscapone cake. The two bite size cannoli being a highlight. Oh, and don't worry; they fill them when orders so it's still a very crisp wafer. And for the adults? A wine garden! Bottles of wine available, but the signature cocktails is where it's at! The white summer sangria being the highlight amongst attendees in my group. $1-$2 donation suggested for entry, great cocktails and some ways to tire the kids.

They have an outdoor stage with various acts and an indoor barn style room where food demos and art pieces are housed. There are also raffle booths and carnival rides and games for the kiddos. It is not a large festival and you can make your way through the entire are in about an hour. I would consider it a lunchtime or dinner event, but certainly not a "spend all day" here kind of festival, unless you really want to sample all the alcohol. :) A lovely little 3 day summertime magic, it is almost always the first weekend of June and worth at least a few hours of your time.
