I then did some research and checked multiple cleaners in the area and most quoted me $12, a couple $15. I got the call today that my shirt was done. I picked it up and it was altered beautifully, a tailored fit. The problem is, I was then charged $24. Twice as much as everyone else and $4 more than I was quoted. One for the price of two? He said he was going to charge more b/c the seamstress matched the color of the thread on the hem to the stitching already on the jeans. I thought a seamstress would have basic colors available for their work. This wasn't an unusual color of thread. The actual job done was fine but I wasn't pleased with the hiked price and having to keep calling to see when my jeans would be done. I won't be going back.
