Here is why We were renovating our kitchen, I get home around 4:00pm and the cabinet installer tells me we need to move the gas connection a few inches because it was too close to the edge of the cabinet. This needed to happen ASAP so I called a plumbing company that I have used in the past (large one for the central NJ area) and they informed me that the soonest they could come to give me an estimate was in two days and the work could be done the following week. I could not wait that long so I started looking for local plumbers that could do it sooner. Using my computer, I got some plumbers numbers & started making calls to see if they could help me. When I got to Bob the person on the phone told me that she would have Bob call me in a few minutes. He called I explained my situation and the urgency of getting this done ASAP. Bob and his men where at my house 2 hours later and moved the gas line on the spot. My project was not delayed due to his help. When I needed the rest of the installation to be finished I call Bob again & he got all my appliances hooked up and running. Bob Hoegler is my new plumber & I highly recommend his company.

I am a big fan of the work done by this company and Larry, the owner, is very diligent about his…read morework. He is not afraid of answering questions and will give as much time as is necessary. He responded very quickly last year when our water heater cracked on the very morning we were to go on vacation. While he wasn't able to come out to see it and frankly we didn't have the time to wait he was able to give tips on what to do to "fix" the issue until we were back. I will say that I was taken aback by his quote at first until I realized that he wasn't out of range and in fact we heard worse quotes. Fast forward, he saved our butts again on a renovation that didn't go as planned and didn't pass inspection. So we called in Larry and after investigations, he knew exactly what was lacking and what needed to be done. When it was done, I felt confident that it had been done correctly. I would have like to give given 4.5 stars, but it appears that is not an option. My only issue is that I like to make my appointments by phone and you need to make it online. I only check my emails once daily and so I can easily miss an email telling me about availability to assess the issue or do the work. This is what happened last time and it delayed the scheduling of the work. I am sure this issue wouldn't bother many other people.

Even though the clog was more trouble than expected but they kept to their stated price because they would not stop till the problem was solved. They did have to return the next day with more equipment and a new plan to solve the problem. David, their technician, kept me abreast of what they were doing and worked until everything was flowing perfectly. Star plumbing had installed a new water heater in my house a couple of years ago which broke down…read morelast Sat morning. I called them immediately multiple times and finally got hold of them. Guy told me he was at the beach and couldn't help me until Mon. Anyways they took my info and confirmed I was under warranty and my heater will be replaced but I ll have to pay $450 labor. I had no choice but agree to it. Mon morning they called and told me they had a flat tire but will be there and eventually they did arrive later that morning. Since my basement has a new carpet and my young children play there, I requested them to put shoe coverings on. This is where the problem started with their attitude. They said, they didn't have any shoe covering and their shoes were 'clean'. Many Asian/South Asians don't bring outdoor shoes inside the house. I offered them new plastic bags to put on their shoes but they refused to do so and angrily left the house saying you should get it done from someone else. At that time, my wife intervened and requested them to come back inside with their shoes and said we ll get it clean later. living in NJ, they should know not everyone wears outside shoes on inside carpet. They should have shoe coverings as contractors and refusing to help work with the customer was just bizarre. My wife put whatever sheets she could find to cover the way but it's a large area and didn't cover everything besides they didn't seem to want to wait. I worked with them and waited a couple of days without hot water. I didn't push them to send a backup plumber or didn't negotiate the labor cost but their uncooperative and frankly grumpy attitude left a bad taste.
