If you're looking for authentic gabagool, these folks have all 3 kinds! With killer meats, these Italian sandwiches are done right. The veggies are perfect, the sandwiches constructed with love. Don't bother with the Small, go for the special Primo roll and enjoy it as it was meant to be. I loved my Mild Sharp Italian, and hubby said his Italian had a nice spice that lingered. I told him it was the Spicy Gabagool! The macaroni salad was twangy and saucy. I am pretty snobby about macaroni salad and I would eat this again. I got the dirt pudding for dessert but we haven't tried it yet. The sandwiches are where it's at, and I want another delivery right now! I have my eye on the Philly with broccoli rabe. Yum!

Friday night and in town visiting with family. We were debating going somewhere to eat but decided to stay home and order in. We decided to try PrimoHoagies and used Grubhub to place our order. Got a sharp Italian with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, oil and vinegar and got peppers and pickles on the side. The sandwich was just okay. I had to add extra vinegar and I put some oregano and pepper on it just to add some flavor. My first few bites without my added seasoning were pretty blah. I only ate half. I can tell they use decent ingredients but their sandwiches aren't for me. Maybe ordering and eating at the restaurant makes a difference? Not sure. They added some coupons to the bag but to be honest they probably won't be used.

Worst food I've ordered, this business is so slide of hand. 6" subs and "primo" subs. What they don't tell you is their slide of hand BS the "primo sub is 9" and $15.00 for NOTHING!!! This is the Philly All damn bread.. shrink-Flation at its finest. Remember $15 for this disaster.

Just bad. No kids menu and the small sub was $9, $60 for 2 adults and a kid...for lunch. Why?? They couldn't toast the cheese sandwich bc it wasn't a hot sandwich, the chip bags were lacking for sure, weird choices. For a first time, it was terrible and we will not be back, ever. Such a disappointment.

Super excited to have a new sub place in town. I love a good sub! I'm a sub girl through and through! We stopped for a late lunch on Saturday. We have never visited a Primo's before. We walked in and it is very small. Right away I noticed the huge menu at the counter with so many items to choose from. There was an employee standing at the register but she did not greet us or ask us if we needed help or have any suggestions. It would of been nice since we were new. But, I chose the Italian and it didn't disappoint. I was a bit surprised at the size. I ordered the small and it was small. Compared to other local sub shops it seemed smaller. I did like the thin sliced meat. The toppings were all very fresh. The bread was very good. But, I was hoping for the bread with the seeds that I saw pictures everywhere. Not sure if you have to request that? You purchase the chips and drink separately. I love how all the chips are Herr's. Those aren't easy to find down here in the South. There is only four small tables to eat inside. Something to keep in mind if your coming with a group or a large family. They do have online ordering and catering. I want to try the coleslaw and the pepper shooters next time!

The hoagies are amazing!! It's not like your average sandwich place. They have flavor, seasoning, high quality meats and cheeses. The veggie sandwich was EXPLODING with flavor. If you like spicy the Diablo sandwiches are it! OR you can ask for a roasted (they roast it) long hot pepper on any sandwich. There are sides like Herr's chips, noodle salad, potato salad and even pudding desserts!! Now let's talk about the bread.. the sesame bread adds another level of nutty flavor to the hoagie. If you don't like sesame seeds you can also get bread without it. I haven't tried the other 45 hoagies... yet... but I bet they are as amazing. If you want a sandwich that comes PACKED with flavor, this is it!! We had them cater our business as well, easily fed 50 people and they loved it!

    Fantastic Italian on seeded rolls.

The waitstaff were very friendly and attentive. Ambience is nice with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, a big wraparound bar, and an outside bar too. Little details like the water goblets on the table add a classy feel. Parking was tough--we had to park down the street because it was so crowded--but it was worth it. The rest of the menu looked tempting, everything is à la carte, and prices felt appropriate for a nice evening out. The food tasted very authentic Italian. We'll definitely be back!

Stayed basic and just ordered the chicken parm sandwich and meatball sub. We cut both in half and shared. That was easily the best chicken parm sandwich and the best meatball sub I've ever eaten. So much flavor & the textures were delightful. I usually can pick out things that would've made my food better, even if I enjoyed my meal, but in this case I have no notes. It was absolute perfection. Wish I would've taken a photo so I could post it here but I wasn't expecting to leave a review. Bravo!

To begin, I will state unequivocally that the meatball is my favorite sandwich (unless I'm in…read moreChicago, then it may quickly switch to a hot dipped Italian beef). So, when I first discovered the "Chucktown Meatball Co.," I hunted them down with the intention of telling them how disappointed I was, since it is SO rare I have a meatball worth its salt. Often, it has been a miserable experience, especially since I ONLY eat housemade meatballs and not the atomic waste, cylinder shaped frozen craters found at the fast-food shack of your (poor and ill-advised) choice. It took some effort, but I finally find them via Instagram, pull up to their truck parked somewhere in the swamps of West Ashley, and order the Meatball Hero (marinara on toasted Italian roll and topped with Pesto, parmigiana, and stracciatella). The preparation took a little time but trust me - that is a good thing. Before long, we complete the handoff, and I walk back to my car and immediately take a bite. Incredible. Are these the best meatballs I've ever had? No, they are not. That trophy belongs to my departed Italian mother's concoction. However, these are so good, tasty and fresh, I find myself heading back on a weekly basis (if not more). I wanted to try their pasta and other things but couldn't get off the meatball hero. Finally, the owner, in an almost plea to rid me of my demons, suggested the chicken parm hero (chicken cutlet with marinara, mozzarella, provolone, and parmigiana with pesto/stracciatella on a toasted Italian roll), and I obliged. Equally incredible, with a red hot fried fresh chicken cutlet smothered in a molten mess that was glorious to eat. Both sandwiches should be common in the Northeast (with varying degrees of quality) but finding them in Charleston at this culinary level is as rare as driving down a street with no flooding. We're talking about super high-quality food here (shockingly prepared in a truck) at a more than reasonable price. The following week, I went back to my meatball hero, because it's what I crave. I'll eventually get around to trying the pasta, but for now, let me go down swinging with a toasted Italian roll in my veins and a smile on my face. When you find them, walk up and tell them Milo sent you. They'll know.
